For over five years, Artem Kopanyev led the development of internal services at Genesis — redesigning processes, launching new verticals, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration across teams. In 2025, he stepped away from his role as Chief Operating Officer to focus on building his own product: Duomo.
📲 Duomo is a mobile app designed for Christians, helping users stay focused on what truly matters in their daily lives. Its mission isn’t just to deliver content — it’s to offer meaningful support. The concept took shape gradually through market research, dozens of interviews, and conversations with faith-based communities.
From the early vision to serving over 100,000 users, from addressing market challenges to developing the core feature — an AI Spiritual Assistant that guides without preaching — Duomo is a story of how operational leadership can evolve into purpose-driven technology.

Former Genesis COO Artem Kopanev has embarked on a new chapter in his professional career, no longer as a COO, but as the founder of his own product. In 2025, he focused entirely on developing Duomo , a digital platform designed to support Christians in their daily spiritual growth. This is not just a new project within a familiar ecosystem, but also a personal initiative that grew out of the conviction that modern man needs not only technology, but also meaning.
This article tells the story of the birth of Duomo: how the idea behind it came about, and how the team is building a product that aims to both create value and support for those looking for more.
How a top manager became a product creator
For over five years, Artem Kopanev was part of the Genesis core, holding the position of Chief Operating Officer. His area of responsibility was the development of Head Office services that supported dozens of businesses in the ecosystem. During this time, he not only rebuilt internal processes and launched new areas, such as Information Security, but also managed to strengthen the key thing - interaction between teams.
“I am proud not only of the achievements, but also of the growth of the people with whom we did this,” notes Kopanev .
During 2024, he gradually transferred responsibilities and prepared for a new stage - creating his own product. And already in January 2025, he finally moved into the role of founder and CEO of Duomo. The idea for Duomo was not born on the fly. It was a process - careful, unhurried.
In 2023, Artem drew attention to what the digital world can offer for the spiritual side of human life.
“It’s part of the daily lives of millions, but digital hasn’t yet learned to work with it deeply and subtly,” he explains. Market research, tests of existing solutions, interviews with users — all this led step by step to live meetings with Christian communities. Gradually, an understanding emerged: Duomo should become not just an application, but a space of support that helps people stay focused on what’s important.
"One of my favorite books is Benjamin Franklin's autobiography - it highlights, among other things, the Christian values that helped Franklin become an outstanding person and make his contribution to world history. Also, at different periods of my life, I had the experience of belonging to communities that supported me, helped me focus, and found meaning. It is this sense of community that supports and makes you better - and became one of the points of inspiration," says the founder of Duomo.
Global market for spiritual development apps
In 2024, the number of Christians in the world exceeded 2.6 billion people, which is about a third of the world's population. The largest Christian communities are concentrated in the United States (about 230 million people), Brazil (over 180 million), Mexico, the Philippines and Nigeria.
Christian communities are quite active in using digital tools to engage with religious content. For example, the YouVersion app has over 500 million downloads, and Hallow has over 20 million. Other popular apps include BibleProject, Dwell, Abide, Bible Memory, Through the Word, Bible Chat, and Pray.com . However, there is still room for new ideas and features in the market.

“During the research process, I realized that with the experience of our ecosystem, we can create a product that is both technologically high-quality and meaningfully valuable. I spent time in real Christian communities, communicated, and tried to understand what technological solutions the audience uses. I looked from the inside at how everything works — not from the position of an outsider, but to understand how much I myself share the values on which everything rests. The experience turned out to be important: I felt support and trust between people. I felt how practically strangers showed interest in me, offered help, and asked questions, which led me to them,” says Artem Kopanev.
Most popular Christian apps focus on one type of interaction: access to the Bible, audio content for meditation and sleep, or video interpretations of texts. They create value through content, but rarely offer structured support for spiritual growth.
In contrast, Duomo combines several approaches: personalized development plans, interactive content, and an AI assistant that helps better understand biblical texts and apply them to daily life. The product's goal is to give the user a digital space for a deeper engagement with faith
A product with a mission: how technology works for spiritual needs
Since its launch in March 2024, Duomo has immediately captured the attention of its audience — not only with its functionality, but also with its depth of idea. By early 2025, the app had already had over 100,000 downloads. The majority of users are from the US, but interest from Europe, Latin America, and other regions is rapidly growing.
Duomo is created with a clear understanding of the user's needs: there are no superficial solutions here. Each feature is the result of observation, analysis and empathy. The product offers personalized spiritual development plans that take into account real life situations - from anxiety to finding love. The content includes biblical meditations, texts, quizzes, reflections. The key technological feature is the AI Spiritual Assistant, which does not impose, but accompanies, helping to comprehend biblical texts and apply them to everyday life.

But the real strength of Duomo is in the people who create it. The team of 25 professionals is not just strong technical and product specialists with experience in Glovo, Bolt, Didi, Genesis. These are people who sincerely share the values of the product. Many came on recommendations, from Genesis' internal educational initiatives - and stayed because they felt that something truly meaningful could be done here.
“The team is what inspires me the most. We have gathered people who truly care — not only about the product, but also about how it changes the lives of users. It’s not just about functionality, but also about attention to detail, about a sincere desire to make something useful and alive,” shares Artem Kopanev .
Duomo is not just another product in the ecosystem. It is an ambitious but very sincere attempt to answer one of the oldest questions of man: how to live meaningfully in a constantly changing world. And to do it in a language that is understandable to the modern generation - the language of technology.
“We don’t want to convince or “teach” anyone. We want to provide a simple and useful tool for those who are already searching. No pathos. No frills. A product that meets the user’s needs and helps keep the focus on the main thing,” the founder adds.
==========
Chris Welch has not looked at the app but here's some thoughts
Surrounded by Idiots by thomas erikson lowercase navigates the four main temperaments .
Im calling them gospelwriter names .
Now our approaches are not the same . We need to study each as wonderful works of God .
Matthews and Lukes are readers , Luke primarily. Its just that Matthews are very instruction based , not only in respect to picking up subjects but also in the way they teach subjects , trying to find the core information used to rapidly advance people .
Duomo would be welcomed by these people .
If instruction is clear and straight to the point Mark type people will find it really helpful .
Here's the massive 1 billion dollar issue .
We are not just flesh and blood . In fact the New Covenant switches us fully back on doing things the Old Covenant could not do .
Our main person is spirit . Eternal spirit. The John quartile curate spirit .
If they go down deep they are temperamentally the gurus.
Christianity in John 10.10 is about having life and life more abundantly.
While Duomo must of necessity address us instructionally, very much the domain of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and evil , actual life is spirit , flow , sensitivity , love ,desire , will , faith , imagining.
All four quartiles even out as we grow older . We learn off each other.
If we don't we remain as St Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 12:14-26.
So God designed us to switch on again in connection to Him in being born again , but then learn this new Spirit of the Law of Life , by being baptised in the Spirit , then as partof the Living Body of Christ under One Heavenly Head , learn lots of giving , lots of living together as individuals as families .
The third stage of Christian growth takes our initial establishment stages right out on the road. We are developing a soul consciousness of what happens within our spirit when we are born again. If Duomo is a AI doing spiritual knowledge as advisor , it will be missing out on the soirit to spirit transfer and impartation of the essence Jesus is forming in us .
So thats not a criticism , just pointing out that Christianity is spirit and word ......its Matthews Marks Lukes and Johns .

Thank you for your assessment of this app. It has come to my attention and the highest concern I have is that AI has no soul. It cannot be led by the Spirit because it is not human. I have not yet held to the idea that AI itself is controlled by God’s own enemy, as many others have asserted, but the question remains: who controls AI and the content that it generates? This app is AI led, AI governed, and ultimately, AI based. Can it then be trusted? I was intrigued by this idea at first, but now I am extraordinarily wary.
