Even Jesus who is perfect was tempted in all things like unto us and in the upper room at Passover declared " Now is the Son of Man glorified . The devil has nothing in me .No landing places is the Greek .
So his soul as a man had built up fortresses and resistance towers to the pulls upon His flesh by principalities and powers . This was as a man of flesh, here not meaning sin ....but sarx natural neutral interface with the world .
Jesus had laid His glory aside to become like one of us.

Catholics don't preach being born again and being baptised in the Spirit.
Some miraculously are....so they have this mixture in their congregations.
Some think they are working their way to salvation by taking Mass.
Others know this replaces the Table of Shewbread Holy place function of ever declaring the victory of the Body and Blood as we confront soul strongholds still persisting in our souls. Typically this is the work of the Holy Spirit uprooting and clothing us in Christ even as we have received Jesus born again new spirit into our beings already.
As Catholics and Anglicans really get hold of these things their heirarchy bricabrac will crumble under the sheer overflowing of their newfound life in God. All this is , yes , in Romans but it is our Divine Foundation in Ephesians chapters 1 through 3.
