I KEPT THINKING TODAY ABOUT AN ENGLISH PASTOR FRIEND OF MINE. He hated confrontations..
There was a very difficult man in his church. He seemed to make it his life’s work to criticize everything the pastor did..
Mr. difficult was at my friend’s house and my Pastor friend was trying to talk and reason with him for about two hours. Just going in circles.
Suddenly (pastors) his wife came down the stairs, walked right up to the difficult man and Said “ shape up, or ship out.”
There was silence. Then the man got up and kind of marched to the door and went out.. They thought that that was the end of him..
At about five minutes later, Mr. difficult came back in the door, went and sat down, and said, “ Ok I’m shaped up.” they never did really have any more problems with him..
Sometimes you can talk, reason, pray and never get anywhere. You’re going to have to have a confrontation..
Personally, I don’t mind confrontations, they don’t bother me at all. You can shout and scream and jump up and down. It wouldn’t bother me and you wouldn’t get any reaction from me.. other people get very emotionally involved, that’s why they can’t do confrontation.
If you live in the truth you’re going to have confrontations sometimes. But you don’t have to be personally emotionally involved.. if it concerns Truth then it’s not your personal problem is it?
If it’s a personal problem, then you shouldn’t be in it anyway. What’s the point?
You know, the old man was crucified with Christ, if you believe Roman six. You can walk in the new man who is able to stay in the spirit..
What’s one of the biggest wiles of the enemy? It’s to get you out of the spirit.. to get your mind and your emotions, and in your own self.( the old man.) so then the devil just tricked you because you don’t have any power or authority outside of the Holy Spirit.

You can’t stay in the truth if you react. Jesus never reacted., He acted.
I often tell people “ don’t take yourself so seriously, you’re not that big of a deal.” Take Jesus seriously then you will stay as light as a feather..
False responsibility and false burdens will not be a yoke to you
“His yoke is easy and his burden is light and delightful, it’s not harsh and neither is it heavy.”
The devil actually is not interested in you, he only gets interested if you start getting in the anointing. Without the anointing, you’re not gonna affect his kingdom.. so he will distract you, make something all about you and your feelings, just to get you out of the spirit.
The Bible says that “we are not ignorant of his (enemy) devices.” but often we are.
Years ago. When we were pastoring a church in Orlando, we inherited a couple of elders from the previous pastors. One of them was like a Nazi, kind of person.. very religious. Very demanding., didn’t like women, especially he didn’t like me because I got all the women. in the spirit and having a good time., prophesying, signing and dancing and laughing and even wearing makeup.
He was very angry with me He called my husband To complain about me, but David told him he was just jealous because I had more anointing than he did.. well that made him twice as angry and he wanted to meet with me. David told me not to go, but I said. “ I don’t mind going he doesn’t bother me.. a lot of people were quite scared of this man. He was fairly fierce..
I went down to the Church office to meet with him.
He was seated behind a big desk and I sat there while he started off, scolding me, and because I wasn’t crying, he raised his voice and started yelling. Well, this angel came around and started tickling me, and I was trying my best not to laugh because I knew he would be out of his mind if I laughed
But I was smiling and the more I smiled, the louder as he got, and in the end, I was trying to tell the Angel to stop tickling me, but he just carried on more, so in the end, I just burst out laughing.
The guy didn’t know what to do with himself, he was beyond outrage. I really think that there hadn’t been a desk between us. He probably would’ve hit me.
He just marched out the door and slammed the door so hard the building shook.
Well, that’s one way to have a confrontation. I’m just saying tonight to get your attention on your lovely savior and off of yourself.. remember the old man was crucified with Christ. You don’t have to live in that realm.
