Timeline Posters

Sometimes a phrase will  sum up something in a unique way and I get to thinking , that could be a Timeline Poster on Facebook, now how would I go about illustrating that?
I use Xara Xtreme Pro  from xara.com and nab something off Google or draw it myself.
The racing car is layered to suggest a blurred image of movement.
The cliff face is done with their fill tool.

Things you can do with video on your PC. Video Your Way!

Things  you can do when you dont or are unable to go the PHOTOSHOP route.
These things work very well on a PC


XARA      began selling logo animation around 10 years ago. They have expanded hugely and I use one of their programmes which includes animation at a basic level. The new programme includes web design.
Xara use a PC very efficiently and "non hungrily" so they have always been one of the fastest design tools out there.

Then do the same with my Go Video

Then after downloading this second free programme
Strip  the audio off the official site and place it onto mine

So after importing my video as you see here. Then drag the grey box down below where it becomes two brown rectangles one vido one audio.
Then you click at points 1,2,3.
1 unlocks the link between audio and video.
2 in the black area relaeases the two rectangles from each other
3 chooses the audio, which you either right click or go to the other menu to delete it.



Then you save thevideo in that video only format (because this is a limited free edition of programme) and import a fresh mp3 audio  at around 89p  and place it underneath. 
How you lock up both rectangles again  is by PRESSING the control button Ctr on your keyboard and clicking both rectangles  then pressing the LOCK button on the lefthand side of No . 1.
You now have your choice of video with your choice of audio!!

Xara Xtreme

I want to let you into a secret. Xara Xtreme.

Many of you bloggers and personal webpage authors run busy families. Or are just simply not in the market for professional software prices. Adobe Photoshop is the current standard, and I know Adobe have produced "Elements" to fill the gap in this market.

Well, over the years of perusing computer mags, I became aware of Xara.http://www.xara.com/uk/products/xtreme

Their programmes grew and grew in power and now they not only have one of the most user friendly photo and drawing packages "Xtreme" but do a web authoring package "Web Designer", which is also just about everything you'd ever need....but at a fraction of the cost. The best way to get to know their stuff is to watch their demo movies.

I use Xtreme for messing around with photos here, creating designs, trying to illustrate 3rd level stuff....when as you know it's interior stuff...so you can't hand it to someone and say here's a packet of Jesus Christ, just plant it here in your stomach and it'll grow and you'll raise all the dead in your neighbourhood by Tuesday!. (Well why not I just thought?!)

I've used Xtreme for preparing the cover and words booklet to "Early Harvest". I've not really had too much success with the animation part of Xtreme...but I have not given enough time to it. It's not particularly complicated.

On their site you will find THE MOST inspiring pieces of artwork and illustrations from intricate watches and microscopes to the most incredible portraits.All done in Xtreme.

Their original speciality was rotating word graphics and logos for webpages.
