We need Unity so that we are not duped

The second temptation of Christ may be about leaping off a roof to make Psalm 91 work .....it could have been snakes too , like America ...but far deeper , and even more astounding is how Satan can use scripture.

I'm pretty gobsmacked what's happening with the word propitiation. John Crowder is an intelligent guy you would have thought. " Here's a word in the Bible I don't like , lets remove it ".

I had to endure two Mark type parents growing up.

On the surface,  what could be more incredible than having not one , but two parents with serving and friendly to people attributes ?

Well, in the 60s we were well off because teachers were well paid and I had two parents working .

But did you know you can have everything you need , good education, be in a family with a high charity ethic , but be a fourth quartile St John type , willow tree type, eagle face type , INFJ type , to feel intensely that " life just isn't here....its dead ....it's modern Methodist ".

Because the cabal that rule this place want to divide us and rule us , the traditional awareness that we are each one of these main frequencies now spelt out again in the bestseller ' Surrounded by Idiots ' ,namely choleric, sanguine , pragmatic and melancolic , is hardly spelt out in school is it ?

It would help us understand each other so much better .

How much homosexuality certainly among men is simply in reaction to the principalities and powers decision to use the other three quartiles to build control pyramids and pretend the disrupting fourth quartile , the main spiritual quartile doesn't exist?

One of the ways we are divided as a people is using newspapers.  Each personality quartile has its own newspaper to separate the thinking of the four groups so we never rise into unity and challenge those hoovering up our life energies.

And this morning I see a newspaper article dividing the Tommy Robinson Steven Yaxley - Lennon viewpoint from the modern Church of England ' Let all foreigners in unchecked ' viewpoint,  which actually is nothing more than the Kallergi plan to destabilise all former Christian nations . This plan is another in the same list as ' critical race theory '. That is , its all nothing more than the Protocols of the Elders of Zion Theodore Herzl occult script , or communism modernised to create a Luciferian takeover of nations .

Much as I like Christian values here , modern Methodism and Anglicanism was never life was it ? Methodism was a definite Move of God through Wesley , but modern Methodism is similar to modern Quakers . Neither church preached the tenets of Christ Himself which is to be born again John chapter 3 and be filled with the Spirit John chapter 4.

Im assuming that Tommy Robinson and Russell Brand , maybe even Bear Grylls are controlled opposition . Part of the twin Masonic chequerboard which fools Christians like me , with the White Hats Trump scenario .

Epstein Trafficked ex model  Brainwashed444

Learning from Jessie Czebotar and Jeanette Archer and various male survivors of the occult has really helped , but again it puts further distance between me and the naive fourlegs good two legs bad position of American charismatic Christianity .

Madison ( surnameArquette ?) was trafficked in the last 20 years and forcibly raped by some of our American Christian named ministries . She was a main voice exposing the uselessness of Operation Railroad Underground , Tim Ballard , Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel .

Which is super sad after William Wallace , and The Passion and Person of Interest.

Our only security as the people of God is to behave as a counsel of FOUR WOODS ..Leviticus 23 trees representing the Matthew Mark Luke John , zhd Four Living Being quartiles of humanity covering the earth.

This is St Paul's warning as we begin having proper ecclesia church run in the Holy Spirit ...quite soon in 1 Corinthians 12 :14-26 we learn we can't even read each other's personalities and so the devil exploits that with personalities that wreck whole countries like all the recent Presidents and politicians, who have done nothing but advance the New World Order Agenda .

Because we arent one , Soros was able to create the modern Ukraine Nazi flag Azov army in 2014 and BBC and many many UK Christians happily support them just 80 years after defeating a people of the same spirit .

The truth is , as solo quartiles none of us are up yo the wily tactics of principalities and powers operating through Tavistock brainwashing and all the three letter agencies.

I wonder if the Body of Christ was united if John Crowder would have ever got so duped with Brad Jersak and Brian Zahnd.

Clearly we all must remove the word propitiation from our Bibles because Commander John says so ?

John Crowder on Abortion

This is not John's usual upbeat topic about Christ's victorious Life. I like the non sequitur , " well actually I DO support mothers and babies who do not go ahead with abortion.

thenewmystics.com

This weekend we lost one of the most perverse and murderous butchers in human history. Ironically but not surprisingly, this infanticidal judge with the blood of 60 million children on her hands, is being celebrated even by many “progressive” Christians who (butt-hurt over religion or just looking for attention) must prove contrarian to anything smacking of even the basic tenets of their supposed faith, such as “thou shalt not kill.”

In the bifurcation of today’s polarized society, everyone politically demonizes “the other side.” But some issues stand as an unequivocal evil which must be opposed at all cost, by all people, even at the price of being labeled draconian, religious, regressive or “right wing.”

Many have drank the murderous swill of abortion’s justifications:

“It’s the woman’s body.”

Yes, and the child’s, who has a right to life.

“If it’s outlawed they’ll still do it in an unsafe way.”

Apply that justification to pedophiles (unfortunately you may already have). There is never a safe abortion for the child.

“This is about women’s rights.”

Unborn women also have rights. Save the baby humans.

“You should talk about taking care of them after they are born!”

I do. Every month I feed, house and educate dozens of unwanted orphans I’ve taken in. Are you? Or are you just repeating a talking point? There are countless agencies, prospective adoptive parents, taxpayer subsidies ... plenty of safety nets in today’s society willing to rescue children, without implementing whatever socio-economic restructuring you’re trying to wedge in to the issue. This is not only a red herring argument, but is shameless audacity to claim moral high ground by advocating for cold-blooded murder in lieu of a child support check.

“What about immigration, racism, universal healthcare...”

Hangon. Let me stop you right there. You mistake me for someone entrenched in this two-party, political bullshit in which I’m not a card carrying member. So none of those are remotely relevant to the issue at hand.

I can’t cover all the shallow platitudes people use to justify ripping innocent children from the womb. But if you can’t call it murder, you WILL be on the wrong side of history ... mark my words. If you find this topic unpleasant, try taking a moment of introspection and ask Christ to show you His opinion on this (not to be confused with the voice of your own calloused conscience). You could also try picking up those dusty scriptures off the shelf, if you still have the humility to glean from them.

*And by the way, if you have aborted a child, you are forgiven, loved and fully accepted by Christ. Let yours be a voice that now rescues lives and helps scared young mothers battling with this very decision.

Annual #abortion rant over. See you next year.

Church in Transition

1 John 2.....what is the " young man state" about? In natural life it is the necessary transition stage between child and adult. In the Spirit it is as well. Childhood in faith is the awesome realisation that salvation is not by works but by faith and we take our baby steps in this new.realm of believing in our heart and confessing. In Acts people.were baptised.in the Spirit immediately, they'd already had lots of.rudiments just by being Jews. Raised in the leftbrain West it is often some time before.we get baptised in the Spirit.

The young man stage is where we are building our new hearing mechanism. Faith comes in two stages, by hearing and hearing comes by access to the Word of God.First we have to have our inner hearing dug out. "You have dug out ears for.me"
It is where we are confessing what we see in the Bible is now true of us. Based on the victory that is already ours. "You have the victory".
This is called charismatic or Word.of.Faith church.
You have one single pastor still just like Catholicism, and evangelical beliefs.
It doesn't matter what we do in the first two levels of corporate faith, we can do no other anyway.
In the Holy Place even the shewbread is cut up in 12 bits because nobody can take the whole thing yet.

But in the thirdlevel everything matters.
Ephesians 4 is a good description of how thirdlevel church works, but by then you have many ministries under one roof with real Christ stuff. There is nothing in the Bible anywhere about one pastor. Only elders plural. When they went out on missions....even apostles.....they went out as twos minimum to demonstrate fellowship, how anointing works in the Trinity, and not the Zeus model of power we know in the world system.
In the thirdlevel we.are all about keying others into the Melchidisek order, hearing Christ for themselves, psalm 123, and learning Galatians 2.20 living.
The Father level which is Union, they who know /are fused with Him who is from the Beginning.
In a leftbrain culture, Brian Zahnd, Justin Abraham ,John Crowder stick out for " talking about mysticism"
But from the moment we pray to a God who is Spirit we are engaging outside what the leftbrain is familiar.with. So Gnostic and mystic..... can be good can be bad.....it depends on the Spirit we are.fellowshipping with.
John Crowder
1 Corinthians 12 addresses a city where pagans were already accessing spirits....now they had to do the same sort of things but keying into the one Holy Spirit that declares Jesus to be Lord.
Justin Abraham
To a balance brained community, nothing is mystic. But we are not there yet. Right now, even the young man stage of 1. John 2 is considered quite off the wall, and nobody knows there is a third stage of growth.

Brian is quite similar to the London leaders in the 70s. In my opinion he knows what he is leaving. He was w hugely successful pastor of an American megachurch. But I am convinced he will express himself more directly the more he catches the thirdlevel message of Union.

Spirit On All Flesh - John Crowder

Why do I like John?
I like John because he opens his heart to every Bible verse....he's not even trying to carry everything in his noddle in total coherence, but if the Bible says it he quotes it. I am looking for expanded guys, and you only get expanded by meditation on the Word, by revelation downloads, by a willingness to be simple like Mary and say "Be it unto me according to your Word."
I DON'T LIKE Jeff Turner's stuff, Michael Hardin's stuff and Brad Jersak's stuff because if they can't fit something in their noddle, they say things like....oh....that's what people thousands of years ago wrote in their alien simple minded belief systems. Really they are coming from a hubris that says Western civilisation knows what it is talking about....sorry about you guys who lived in the wrong time period. When in MANY cases the very reverse is true...
there's a slickness, (and I use that word in both senses...the one word related to grease and an oilslick) a callous, a lack of holiness and purity and simplicity and awe......basically all the things we are NOT doing with our kids these days because there is so little genuine worship of God for Himself......so everybody grows up missing out. Now listen I am not saying these writers swear or do bad things.....but just growing up in a society that regularly swears Christ and God....creates this callous over people's hearts without them realising when they minister or write.

N5B - Sadhu Sundhar Singh 2

This section on Sundhar comes from Chapter 1Miracle Workers,Reformers and New Mystics By  John Crowder

Sadhu Sundar Singh
(1889-?) ranks as one of my utmost favorite mystics, as he so aptly exemplified a lifestyle of intimacy and revelation, as well as a demonstration of God's power within the most extreme context of his own culture—a culture that is still today far removed from the Western evangelized world.
Sundar was born in India to an
upper class Sikh family, and from the
age of 5, his mother taught him to
pray for hours a day. He prayed so often that his father worried
something was wrong with him. As a child, he was so zealous for
his faith that he had burned a Bible and would chuck rocks at
Christian missionary kids. His life's goal was to become a sadhu‑
an Indian holy man who lives a life of poverty and prayer. Sundar
believed in a type of monotheism, that there is one God, but he
was so frustrated at age 14 that God had not revealed Himself, that
Sundar vowed to throw himself on the train tracks and die on a
certain morning if God did not show up. When that day

approached, he began with his regular routine of prayer, hours before the dawn. Suddenly, a bright light appeared outside in the darkness. It was Jesus Himself, in an open visitation, speaking to Sundar in Hindustani, and saying, "I am Jesus, whom you have persecuted."
He cut his hair—it is a Sikh custom to grow it long from birth. In doing so, he was immediately shunned by his family, and they even poisoned his last meal, trying to kill him before kicking him out of the house. His was a very great sacrifice, considering he was being thrown from the top of the caste system to the very bottom. It was shortly after this, that Sundar began to live out his life's dream of being a sadhu. But, of course, he was a Christian one. Sadhus keep no possessions, but are fed and taken in by families who want a blessing on their household and want to hear their teachings. Sundar adopted the customs of the holy men, to spread the gospel. Sundar's only possession was his turban, which doubled for a blanket, as well as his pocket NewTestament. As he was taken into one's household in the regular Sadhu custom, he would begin to teach them about Jesus, seeing tremendous success in winning souls.
Sundar lived much like Francis of Assisi, keeping nothing for himself, yet trusting God for everything. He gave away any money that he received, living literally one day at a time.Sundar's life was marked by extraordinary levels of faith and
revelatory experience, as he continued in his discipline of spending hours a day in prayer. He was frequently caught up into ecstasies and trances, and regularly met with the Lord Himself in open visitations, where he asked questions and receive answers.

Besides meditating on the Scriptures for hours, and sometimes all day and night. Sundar would spend much time in silent prayer and prayers of recollection. He also entered deep contemplation and fasted regularly.
Sundar was regularly persecuted for his faith. In one village where he preached, he was dropped into a well that was full of human bones, and he was left for dead. An unknown figure freed him from the pit late at night, and the next day he was seen preaching again on the streets. The village leaders, terrified at his miraculous escape from the locked well (the village leader still had the key to the lock in his robe), expelled Sundar from town.
Sundar was also beaten, tied to trees to be eaten by wild animals and was even tied up in a wet yak skin to be crushed to death as it dried up in the sun's heat. Often, he was rescued by a mysterious, hidden regiment of Indian Christians. Sundar's fame quickly spread to Christian missionaries, and as he became well known, he eventually traveled the international speaking circuit. He came to America where he spoke to overflow crowds and received wide press coverage. He was known coast to coast in America, but secular historians leave us little to no information about him today. The streets of major cities were literally packed with people trying to catch a glimpse of him. Sundar remarked on Western Christianity's shallow spirituality and the rampant materialism at that time. Throughout his life, Sundar wrote a number of books, including detailed documentations of Heavenly visitations.Once Sundar visibly encountered Satan, who offered him millions of followers if Sundar would only bow down and worship him. When Sundar realized what was happening, he rebuked the devil. Just as soon as he did this, he turned his head to see Jesus on his other side, face to face. The Lord told Sundar that he was well pleasing in His sight, and to ask what he wanted and he would receive it. From then on, Sundar was able to ask the Lord questions face to face and he went on to extensively document these detailed visions and encounters.
Another of his more profound encounters, occurred in the Himalayan mountains through which he walked long distances on a regular basis. On one excursion to Tibet in 1912, Sundar was walking through the mountains when he fell into a hole. Surprisingly, there sat a hairy old man surrounded by numerous leather manuscripts. The man who lived in this cave claimed to be nearly 400 years old, and said he was baptized by Francis Xavier, the famous Indian missionary, in the 1500s."I pray for Tibet night and day," said the old intercessor, who Sundar called the Maharishi of Kailas. Sundar was persecuted severely by skeptical Christians for telling this story, and they often prodded him about the encounter with the old hermit. Nevertheless, Sundar returned to visit the Maharishi subsequent times, and the man gave Sundar specific words of knowledge for some of his acquaintances, whom the Maharishi had never met—detailed messages that might involve their names, issues of specific direction or even hidden sins that needed to be dealt with.Although Sundar offered to lead a group into the Himalayas to verify the Maharishi's existence, few could keep up with Sundar's pace in the rugged mountains—Sundar was used to walking many miles a day in the steep mountains—and eventually each one in the group gave up trying to follow him.Equally mysterious was Sundar's departure from the world. Toward his latter years, Sundar had given up his world travel, in order to devote more time in prayer before the Lord. His intense revelatory experiences became more and more frequent. Setting out on a path he regularly took to Tibet, Sundar disappeared in 1929. His body was never found, and no one knew the details of his whereabouts. Many speculated that he went to live with the Maharishi, or that he took the hermit's place. Others feel that Sundar was simply taken into Heaven like Elijah and Enoch.Sundar and Enoch are models of what is coming. Translations from one place to another will become far more commonplace with the new mystics. When our only standard is the presence of God, the favourof God rests upon us, and all things become possible.

The enemy shivers at the thought of what access we have to God, power. He will do anything to keep us from picking it up. But as the church begins to step into the power we have as Christians, we will never again be on the defense against the enemy. We will always be plundering hell, whose gates will not prevail against us.As we press into divine encounters and begin to perform miracles, the work of the Kingdom will accelerate by leaps and bounds.
As Christians, we understand that our glorified bodies will be perfect in Heaven, that we will be renewed there and that the Lord will even create a new earth. But we must also remember that the Kingdom of Heaven is in our midst, and that the Lord wants to restore the church prior to her entrance into glory. Before the Lord returns, He will have a Church functioning in her prime.A pure and spotless Bride without blemish.
We usually do not think of a powerful, mysterious church when we consider the last days. Just how much of our end times theology is centered on chaos and devastation? We tend to think of the judgment of God when we consider the last days, and surely judgment will come. But the last days are when the church will shine her brightest. God has always brought His people through their trials and tribulations, and He always does so triumphantly. God brought the children of Israel through the Red Sea, through the desert, through the Jordan River, through the land of giants, and through years of captivity. The people of God do not bow out or get whisked away in times of trial, rather God carries them right through to the other side as they lean into Him. This is why, like Jesus, we can sleep through any storm.
Yes, the judgments of the Lord will be severe, and He will strip away all that is not of Him. Anything with a faulty foundation will not stand—all that can be shaken will be shaken. But the last days will not be a time of doom and darkness for Christians. It will be our greatest hour.As we focus on God's glory and dwell in His presence. He will be a refuge to us through it all. There will be suffering and even more martyrdom. But God is far more concerned with restoring than destroying. And while it seems that all hell is breaking loose around us, God's hand will be upon the Church, showing Himself strong through her.
In these last days, the Church will walk in the anointing of the sons of golden oil foreshadowed in Zechariah 4 and Revelation 11. Like olive branches, we will be producers of the anointing of God. We will walk in the power of Moses and Elijah, speaking as often as we desire to release signs in the Heavens and the earth. The distinction between light and darkness, sheep and goat, wheat and tare will continually become clearer as we enter these times. The final harvest will be a reaping of everything that has been sown into man, both good and evil. Good and evil are both coming into full maturity in the earth. Cults, pop religions. and outright satan worship will abound. Mockers and satanists will enter churches and openly confront leaders, making sport of services. But as our focus remains on the Lord Himself, in the intimacy of His secret place, we will see only light. We need only look to His face in worship to gain victory. And as Jesus is lifted up, He will draw all men to Himself. Those with vision will embrace such open encounters with the demonic, because Christians who walk in power will be on the offense. not the defense. Every power confrontation will be an opportunity for victory and saved souls.
The primary reason we must understand the principle of restoration in the last days, is to grasp the coming tidal wave of supernatural power about to be released on the church. The time could not be riper to bring all the jars into the house, because the oil is already beginning to flow. We must prepare for what the Lord is doing. The church may not look like a force to be reckoned with today, but this is largely because we do not understand the power and authority that is owed to us—that is legally waiting to be restored. The entire world is about to take notice of His Church again.
But this is a people robbed and plundered,- all of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison houses; the), are for prey, and no one delivers; for plunder, and no one says, "Restore!" (Isaiah 42:22)

It is time we demand restoration and take hold of that which is owed to us as the Church. It is sometimes as simple as calling for it. Our inheritance and right as believers is to walk in the power and intimacy with the Father that Jesus did. We must cry  out for the lost mantles of former champions. And with the 20/20 hindsight of historical perspective, we will be able to see where they ended, where they succeeded. where they failed—then retake that ground and go further. There are many prototypes throughout history whose lives foreshadowed this coming generation. Of course, we will no longer be a church that lives in the past, but we will recover what those forerunners lost."

New Covenant Good Breath Syndrome - John Crowder

New Covenant Pneumatology

by John Crowder on Friday, 7 September 2012 at 10:21 ·

Here's a common question we often receive: In reference to the finished work of the cross, is there a "second work" of the Baptism of the Spirit?

This is an important topic, because many people feel insecure, condemned or lacking as if they don't have the Spirit or don't have "enough" of the Spirit.

Wesleyan and early Pentecostals broke the Godhead into different parts that came at different times (second blessing, etc.), but the church never did that historically. Our idea of baptism of the Spirit is where the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. A lot of our idea of "second blessing" has to do with our word "baptism" which was Greek for "immersion" or "dunking." Because there was controversy going on during the writing of the King James Bible with the Anabaptists, the translators decided not to use the word "dunk" (because the Anabaptists believed in dunking not sprinkling). Rather than translate "dunk" ... instead they inserted a Greek word "baptizmo" into the English language ... Voila! A new word. So instead of John the Dunker, we get John the Baptist.

So ... the "baptism" of the Spirit is not a separate thing where first you only had Jesus, and now you get the Spirit. It just means to get dunked, immersed or have your senses tangibly "filled" or flooded with the Spirit Whom you had all along. After all, He is the "Spirit of Jesus." Col. 2:10 says "By your union with Christ you are filled with the Godhead" ... that means you already have the Spirit ... you even have the Father in you too! So "infilling" is not a "second work," rather it's about a continual enjoyment - a daily dunking - and experience of the Spirit we already have. Not a one-time or two-time event, but Paul says, "Be ye continually filled ..." Eph. 5:18. It's an abiding relationship - He remains in you.

He's not "out there" and baptism was Him "coming in." Baptism is about drinking from the well that is already in you. Flooding you from that inner well - from the inside out.

Since the Trinity is inseparable, we get the full package in one. If you really even want to get technical, since Christ died for all humanity, even unbelievers have Him in a hidden way. As Paul told the pagans on Mars Hill, "In Him we live and move and have our being, even as your own poets say 'We are His offspring.'" Or consider when Jesus was speaking before the cross (and before Pentecost), in Luke 17, when he told his hearers that they already had the whole Kingdom inside of them! It was already there, in a hidden way - even though none of them were able to continually access it by faith like a New Covenant believer.

So the difference has to do with manifestation and experience of God, which of course we know only comes through faith or believing.

There is also the principle of impartation. Don't get mixed up - thinking you first "got" the Spirit in the laying on of hands - but He did smack you! When someone prays for impartation, they are not giving you something you "don't already have." We all have the fullness, but we are also an interdependent body. We leak onto one another! So when we pray for one another, we can stir up things and awaken giftings, etc. to manifest. The guys Paul chatted to in Acts had believed in Jesus but said "We didn't know there was a Holy Spirit?" When He laid hands on them, they received impartation from Paul, but that impartation was merely stirring up by faith something that was already latent within them.

Also, another confusing verse for some people is Rom. 8:9 "You are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ." This is not to be lifted out of context and turned into a proof that some people don't belong to God. In the context here, Paul is addressing believers - not making a statement about unbelievers. He's warning disobedient believers who are refusing to submit to the Holy Spirit in their lives. He's essentially saying "You say that the Spirit of God lives in you, and you are right. However, your life should be reflecting the Spirit of Christ." As he says in verse 12, "We have an obligation - but it is not to the sinful nature."

So let's not think in terms of "when" the Spirit came. This wine was poured out from the foundation of the world. It's not "when" you first believed, but "what" you believe. As we realize He finished the job and plugged us into union with Him, we experience Him continually!

Chris's note: Pneuma is Greek for Breath or Spirit

P.D.A. shares about Newport

Next Newport Meetings - May the 4th and 5th

P.D.A on Facebook writes

Wales was fun on saturday, my friend Brynn from Staffordshire was there who I met at Gloryfest in Jan' 11. When I met him then him and his brother had just started getting hold of the message of the finished works of the cross and were the only 2 people in his little church who were getting drunk on the bliss of their salvation. This time he'd bought a minibus full of drunk people from his church to wales, over the last year the rest of his church have started getting hold of their union with christ because of Brynn and his brother Dan. Effortless fruit from drinking the vine!!
The last few times I've heard Dave Vaughan speaking he's reminded me that even while we're sleeping the kingdom is advancing. We're glorified ones diffusing the fragrance of heaven effortlessly just enjoying our lives. He was telling us some stories of when he went to Indonesia a few years back and how he met this 24-year old pastor who had a church that had grown from 200 to 5000 people in a year who'd discovered that the more he just rested in his union with Christ and the less he did the more his church grew! Some of the churches out there have angels that turn up and dance with the people in the meetings! The angels literally roll people across the floor!! It was around 2007 that Dave just started staying on his couch getting drunk in the spirit and not really leaving the couch!! This was when he really started to realise he was a branch!!
Dave was going to start writing his memoirs entitiled; "Tales from the couch:Memoirs of a drunken monk" but this is what happened:

"So I started writing my book, BUT it's too tedious and time consuming using 2 fingers especially when they are drunk! So last night the Lord compelled an American Ghost writer who we have never seen before who has helped Jim Goll and several others with their books to come to the meeting! She said she felt the wind of the spirit 'Compelling' her to come! LOL, Connection made, I guess He has it all covered!!!"

This lady who is the ghost writer is called Renee and she's from Nashville but is living in Northern Ireland. She was the last journalist to interview Ruth Ward Heflin before she died. Renee came to the meeting in wales and then came over to Princes Risborough on sunday when Godfrey Birtill was playing and is planning to come to wales again as she can't really find any fellowship in Northern Ireland as the churches seem to be quite conservative over there.

I've had an interesting time recently, while I was away over easter somone (probably my junkie housemate or one of his friends) tried to break into my room. My door was a thick fire door so they didn't manage to get in but they split the door so my landlord had to replace it. Basically my housemate hangs around with some Pakistani drug-dealer types who I know can get nasty. I don't think my housemate knows that I know who his friends are but one of my friends was having his life made a misery by these same guys a while back. My housemate on several occasions had given his key to theses guys so that they could wander in and out of our house. Our landlord had told him not to give his key to anyone before.
When I got back from easter me and my other housemates tried to have it out with my other housemate over this but as usual he just span us a load of bullshit and tried to lie his way out of it. I was a bit fearful over what was gonna happen because I'd had the police round and everything and I wasn't sure how my housemate was going to respond and whether he'd get his drug-dealer friend involved. We told our landlord about it and he came round last friday and we told him what was going on. we then realised that the drug-dealer friend was in the house whilst we were talking to the landlord! He'd been given the key again and this time my landlord saw him leave the house so he knew it was still going on. I decided not to stay in the house that night and went to a party in Bristol, stayed overnight and went to Newport the next day. Whilst I was traveling to Bristol the Lord broke of all the fear about my situation really just from resting in my sonship. i really got filled with a new confidence. When I got back on sunday, my housemate had cleaned the kitchen (which he never does) and had lost all his normal cockiness and was being all polite to me and everything. Turns out my landlord had rung his mother (my housemate is 35 by the way) and now he's all on his best behaviour as I think he's realised he can't risk getting chucked out our house!
Lots of other little things keep happening like strange little miracles like my car electric window fixing itself and a few other strange things that probably wouldn't mean anything to anyone but just keep adding to my sense of security. The thing I've realised is that the more I rest in him the more it annoys the enemy, I don't really need to do anything else to fight him really. I have cast some stuff down in prayer to come against him too with visible results but mostly just feasting at the table seems to do the trick!! I did pray over this pillar ouside Wycombe district council offices that this known occultist had been putting carvings into the other week and the following week a car crashed into the pillar and destroyed it! that was pretty cool!
Funny thing was that the message Joanne Gravell spreached (its a mixture of squealing and preaching!) on saturday was about "Little keys unlock big doors" I'd just had a fresh new white door fitted to my room to replace the old brown wood fire door and had been looking up verses to do with doors!!

  • Hello...read most of this and just want to say first of all, I loved PDA's post. I liked the part where you said you left your apartment in fear of what would happen with the housemate's friends and that God broke that fear and you returned trusting God after he filled you wih confidence about the situation. I'm learning about fear after dealing with a lifetime of it (debilitating fear), and in my old age, I find that I now immediately act in spite of it. I see it as a running to God the moment I feel it in any situation. When we speak "when I am weak, then I AM Strong" When I am in fear, perfect Love overcomes and casts it out. Fear/Love/God in that order. I find that I never stop feeling the fear, but for the first time in my life I realize it's God's tool to "know" him better In me As me walking in it With me. Also, I loved the things you wrote about the couch memoris. The more I "rest" on my counch/bed, the more seems to get done. (spiritually speaking) Anyway, I wish you would write more on here. You always have such wonderful things to share.

The Trinity and You.Words by John Crowder and Thomas F. Torrance Music by A.Christopher Welch and Mike Thom.

This is an excerpt of music from a track called the Door on CD2 of Early Harvest Double CD (Unreleased) by A. Christopher Welch

When Michael Thom and I were playing the keyboards we had the basic harmonic framework and the opening tune only, and recorded this simultaneously in one take. Both Joel 2 Desert scene and this track were recorded in the same way in one take. This is how 5 to 10 of us learned to play in meetings taking people into the Presence of God in Emsworth, as encouraged and taught by Ed Miller (Thy God Reigneth_ The Argentine Revival ) and Jorge Pradas "Congregados Para Darle Gloria".

( Yes,I do realise that 30 years on this, the "process of leading people into a felt Presence of God", is becoming almost a hindrance, just like Gideon's Ephod. And by the Holy Spirit we can pick our way through all this. God's Presence doesn't go anywhere. Actually the blockages to God's Presence are in us, and something like thin layers of cloud between the sunshine which is always there and Earth. These blockages which God removes with different sorts of tweezers literally are "apparent", since the Big Exchange happened 2000 years ago. They are described in Ezekiel 8 :10 as little bits of graffiti and animal scrawlings over the walls of your insides. Outside of where Christ dwells, but below the surface enough it takes Spirit in His many forms-direct revelation, church,Word, friends, work situations,family- to spot them and remove them. The Entrance of Thy Word gives light! Speculations, highminded thinking, that may not even ever properly register in your surface thoughts.)

What Is Flesh? - Part Two. Brett Burrowes.John Crowder

Brett Burrowes complete transcript/ or alternatively the original spoken mp3 can be obtained here:http://www.zerubbabel.org/audio/sin-satan-and-the-flesh.asp

He begins:

I'm going to talk today about sin, the flesh and Satan in the Bible. I have been writing, or have written a dissertation on Paul and the law and sin in Romans 7 & 8, it's titled Christ the Living Law, Paul's Transformation of the Law From Letter to Spirit of Christ in Romans 7-8. And I had two sets of purposes in writing the dissertation, one was more academic and the other was more theological or doctrinal.
It really all started back oh about 20 years ago when I went through a Church split over some teachings at this fellowship in NY. And the teachings involved about Satan and Christ, whether sin was a result of a sinful human nature that we have or was it Satan expressing his own nature through us and did we live our lives with the help of the Spirit of Christ of course or was it Christ himself and no longer I living the Christian life? And as Galatians 2:20 says. And it was very disturbing to me that these Christians that I thought cared about me turned on us and walked to the other side of the street and treated us with what I saw was hate rather than Christian love and kindness. And at one point I stood up, probably in ignorance, but I stood up and said to the Church just shortly before I left what Galatians 2:20 meant to me and how Norman Grubb had thrown light on that verse to me and on Romans 7. But I was shaken by what happened and I didn't really, I knew it at one level but not at a level where I felt secure in what I believed. And so I decided to go to seminary to find out for myself what the Bible said, what it meant in the original languages and not that I was just going to take all my seminary professors word for it, but, I wanted, I had to know for myself what the truth was and if the truth was that what Norman was telling me was wrong then I was going to accept it because it was what the Bible said that I knew the bible was the word of God and that was the starting point and the foundation of everything else. And I believe that to be my foundation to this day and the foundation of our fellowship.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

ACWelchAll through history God has called towards His believers by means of revelation surrounding Biblical Truth, which is after all only a mirror of True Heavenly Realities to do with the Living Version of the Tabernacle as briefly and I mean briefly outlined in the book of Hebrews.

Now for the Anabaptists it was the discovery of the "living" dynamic to be experienced in total immersion baptism by believers, in an age still almost universally saddled with the belief that you tapped babies on the forehead with some sprinkled water.

In the last century, pioneers of the healing movement like Alexander Dowie were regularly fined by the Chicago municipality for practicing medicine!(It's actually called praying for the sick and it is in your Bibles- though probably not the Episcopalian ones....only joking)) And Dowie kept paying. Added to this, the government did not honour or acknowledge their own health savings as literally thousands were either instantly or rapidly healed of their ailments.

By my reckoning, the Church of Jesus Christ in Chicago are owed millions of pounds in compensation and interest by the central authorities!!!! And we are coming into the time of the restoration of all things!

GIVE THAT KINGDOM MONEY BACK,CHICAGO!

Later on the Pentecostals and Apostolic Churches were universally rejected for preaching and experiencing both the baptism of the Spirit, and the reinstatement of ministries long abandoned by the Church at large:apostles and prophets.

Well then, we come to the last 30 years or so where the matter has been surrounding Galations 2:20. Do you believe it? Or don't you? And the taking on board of living revelation is always perceived by outsiders as extreme. But from the point of view of those who have heard the word of the Lord, it is just a simple matter of obedience.

As it was for Noah when he built his boat. There had never been a need for a boat. There had never been any rain. And when it began raining, IT BEGAN RAINING. You definitely needed to be in that boat!

If you are reading this for the first time, wondering about Christian believers. Can I just say, you need to be hanging around them. Because Christians get advance warnings about things. So instead of mocking them and crossing to the other side of the street, can I suggest you shut up your bad mouthing, you quietly tag along, and listen to what they are going on about. They could just be building the next boat. Rant over - Brett continues:

.............Now the protestant reformation though it was successful in reestablishing that God's salvation is by God's grace alone and received by faith alone, didn't deal with the problem of the continued sinning of believers. It only dealt with the means by which we're saved and go to heaven. In fact, Luther and Calvin the reformers emphasized we continue to sin constantly which drives us to trust Christ more and not our own works for our salvation. The reformers would have been hostile to the belief that Christ can live out His sin-free life through us. They would not have welcomed that and would have seen it as sort of maybe a sneaky way that salvation by works could sneak back in but in fact we believe that salvation is by God's grace alone and we can do nothing to earn our salvation. And so that's not in doubt, we're starting from that as our basis.

......... my strategy is to show that evangelical interpretations of sin and the flesh and Paul, are based upon a later interpretation of Paul by St. Augustine in the early 5th century AD and are not original to the apostle Paul himself. And also, that when Paul is interpreted in his Jewish and Greek context of the first century AD, the idea that sin is a spirit is a more natural way to understand what Paul was saying.

............Now probably the most important view of sin, that I disagree with, is that of Augustine who viewed sin as a corruption of human nature or of the flesh. Corruption is when something has deteriorated from it's original state of wholeness. Rust would be a corruption of iron or steel so immorality would be a corruption of the human body and of human nature. So in Augustine's view human nature, which is originally pristine and perfect before the fall, was corroded or corrupted by Adam's original sin. Specifically, the corruption of human nature was the introduction of excessive or inordinate desire into human nature. A physical desires, especially the desire to pursue pleasure and avoid pain, became much more extreme and out of whack, so to speak. Now in Augustine's view we're self-operating but we can only choose what we desire and if our desires are out of control we find ourselves unable to stop sinning because we can't change our desires to make them the right desires. So for Augustine it is the flesh that is the problem. The flesh is corrupted by sin and sin doesn't literally indwell the flesh like a spirit indwells a body, rather sin indwells the flesh the way that you see rust corroding iron and gradually causing it to deteriorate and fall apart.
I should back up a minute and explain, well, who is St. Augustine and why is he so important? Augustine is important because all of Western Christian theology- Catholic and Protestant-as opposed to Christianity in Eastern Europe, Russia, Greece and the middle east, all of Western Christian theology is based on Augustine. Most people do not realize that and probably think that, well, no my theology is all based upon the new testament. And they might give a nod to Luther or Calvin or the Reformers but little do they realize that the Reformers themselves based their theology on Augustine's interpretation of the Bible as did most Catholic writers as well, in fact probably all Catholic and Protestant writers. This makes him, gives him almost unparalleled importance in the history of Christianity apart from the writers of the New Testament, because everybody in western Christianity, Catholic and Protestant, sees and reads the Scriptures with the lenses or eyeglasses of St. Augustine. We read it naturally in that way and don't realize or even know that we're doing it. So he is perhaps, there's no more important figure in the history of Christian theology than St. Augustine other than the writers of the Bible. That means that all of Christian theology since the time of Augustine, who lived around 354 to 430 AD, is basically a commentary on Augustine, virtually without exception, whether Protestant or Catholic. That doesn't mean all protestants agree with everything Augustine wrote or all Catholics agree with Augustine, but everyone is in someway either building on or reacting to Augustine.
So as I was saying, it's as if we read the Bible with colored contact lenses on and we're not even aware that we have them on, so that Augustine is causing us to read and understand Paul through that color, like we're seeing the world through blue eye glasses and everything appears blue in Paul because that's how Augustine has led us to read it. Since almost all doctrinal disputes between Christians go back to disagreements in the interpretation of Paul, if Augustine controls our interpretation of Paul, how great is that influence?
Some of the Catholic doctrines with which Protestants disagree also go back to theologians working out the implications of Augustine's doctrine of sin and sinful human nature, such as purgatory. For example, if we are not finished being made sanctified, our human nature is not sufficiently purified by our death, then what do we do? What happens? Do we just go up unfinished our process of sanctification into heaven? Well Catholics then decided we must go through purgatory to finish the process of sanctification to get into heaven. There's a certain logical sense to that. If there's a sinful human nature and it's not perfected by the time we die, then it has to be perfected after we die. Protestants have sort of lived with the contradiction. The same as with the immaculate conception of Mary, that well if Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary who had a sinful human nature why didn't he inherit a sinful human nature? And so Catholics invented the doctrine of immaculate conception to solve the problem of Jesus' sinlessness. That why he didn't inherit a sinful human nature from Mary. Protestants again sort of live with that contradiction and probably don't even realize that there is one. Of course I think that we have a much simpler solution by discarding the sinful human nature problem then the problem that created purgatory and immaculate conception completely disappear. Because there's no sinful nature to be purified or sanctified and there's not sinful nature for Jesus to inherit, therefore there's no need for these doctrines.
Now in Augustine's favor, he was the champion of the idea of salvation by God's grace alone, not by human works. Luther was merely reviving Augustine on this point. Augustine wrote extensively hundreds of pages on this point and was absolutely clear and I'm not sure exactly why the Church didn't always follow him but he was sufficiently read by at least those who could read, that people understood what his point about salvation by God's grace alone was.

.........To summarize, Augustine's view of sinful human nature has four sources. He was reacting against his former Manichean views of an evil deity while at the same time adopting their idea that humans have two natures in conflict with each other. Two, he was reacting against Pelagius's perfectionism and salvation by works. The third source of his view of sinful human nature is that his status as a man educated in Greek philosophy led him to view human beings as being operated by one of two spirits as being superstitious and unlearned or uneducated and fourth, and perhaps most importantly, fundamental changes were occurring in the Western Church as a result of Constantine's making Christianity a legal religion in 312 and Christianity becoming the official religion of the Roman empire in 380AD. And at this time many thousands of educated and upper class people found it politically wise or expedient to become Christians. If Christianity was the official religion then it was necessary to become Christian in order to succeed in public life, whether that meant political office or just economically, or in business. Christian theology changed to fit this situation. Perhaps not consciously but nevertheless it did so and since Augustine came from this very class of people I think at some level his theology changed or he changed Christian theology in order to fit his situation.

........So lets go back to the meaning of the word flesh.
In Greek the word is Sarx. Some modern Evangelical translations, the New International Version, or the New Living Translation, use sinful nature or old nature, and this is an example of Augustine's theology being read into the text because there's nothing about the word Sarx that means sinful nature or old nature.

....Now, flesh then normally has the sense of human bodily nature, unless of course it refers to animal flesh. It refers to the human body and soul and it's abilities or lack of them. It includes bodily appetites, desires, emotions and feelings. But we must be careful not to just read Augustine's theology of a corrupted human nature or corrupted body into the word of God. Flesh refers to human bodily nature as indwelt by the spirit of sin which has invaded or taken up residence there. So the big difference between Augustine and myself is whether sin is a deterioration of human bodily nature or whether it is an invasion of human bodily nature by an outside spirit distinct from the human self which has come in and taken over. There's nothing in the word flesh or Sarx that demands either interpretation, it just means human bodily nature and as a result of sin, whatever it is, and we'll get to that in a moment, the flesh stands in opposition to God.

...............And so it seems that the writers of Scripture and Paul himself, held to the idea that disease was caused by evil spirits. Augustine on the other hand, who comes from more of the educated classes, is fond of describing sin as some kind of wound to the body. And so he gravitates naturally to the idea of sin, the first idea of sin as a deterioration, or a corruption of the body. And a corruption is sort of the like, kind of a natural deterioration like rust is a corruption of iron but in this case it's a moral deterioration rather than a physical deterioration. In this view Satan wounded human nature and the body at the Fall, he didn't actually enter in to it and indwell it. Paul however, his view fits more the idea of being invaded by some kind of evil spirit. As I've said before, Paul expresses a view of disease in 2 Corinthians 12:7 where he says the thorn in his flesh was an emissary of Satan. Somehow an emissary of Satan has entered his body or a messenger of Satan causing disease. In Romans 5:12 Paul says sin entered into or invaded the world. In Romans 7:17 & 20 Paul distinguishes sin from himself, it is no longer I who sin and not I who do the sin. He distinguishes sin from the flesh in Romans 8:3. They're not identical. Sin takes up residence and indwells human flesh just the way a demonic spirit would in Romans 7:17 & 20 and just like an enemy invader would, sin takes us captive and makes us do it's will in Romans 7:23. Sin produces evil desires but it's not identical with those evil desires in Romans 7 & 8. And in Romans 8:15 sin is described as a spirit of slavery. So Paul outright identifies sin as a spirit in Romans 8:15. Some translations try to reduce that to a mere attitude or mindset but since the Holy Spirit the Spirit of adoption is a real Spirit which comes to dwell in us no one would say that the Holy Spirit is part of our human selves, or some human attitude, so the same is true of the spirit of slavery, it is a spirit which comes from the outside and invades us. And of course Ephesians 2:2 is the most clear of all in which Paul describes how we all once walked under the authority of the prince of the power of the air, the spirit which now operates in the children of disobedience. And the operation of this spirit is associated with the desires of the flesh, the Satan operated body which produces the distorted desires and appetites of the flesh. And finally Paul can describe the body as the body of sin, Romans 6:6, because it is the body that sin indwells or inhabits. ...........

...............So as you can see, even our modern translations are influenced greatly by Augustine's theology. Now I'm not saying that the NIV or the New Living Translations are overall terrible translations or that you should never use any part of them, I'm just saying that when it comes to the apostle Paul and specifically passages about sin, the flesh, and the Spirit of Christ operating us, that's when they read Augustine's theology into the text. There's other parts of Scripture where thy are perfectly fine in the way they interpret and translate the Bible. But I think it is important that we be aware that translation can influence our theology and we're not even aware or the theology can influence translation and we're not necessarily aware that it's doing that and then influence the way that we understand what's happening when we're being tempted and why we find that life may not work the way that the Bible says it is supposed to work.
So in summary, the flesh is just bodily human nature which has been taken over or invaded by a spirit, the spirit of error, the spirit of Satan, the spirit of sin or the spirit of slavery in various parts of Scripture. Sin itself is not something that has gone wrong with human nature, it is not some psychological principle, it is not a corruption of human nature. Sin is an invading spirit, what Paul calls the prince of the power of the air the spirit which is now at work in the children of disobedience. So sin is the spirit of Satan operating in us, operating in our flesh, while we were unbelievers, but fortunately for us Christ came and died to expel that spirit from us, from operating us, in his death on the cross and when we believe in that, believe in Christ's redemption of us and participate in his death to sin and his resurrection, then the old spirit goes out and we are joined to the new spirit, the Spirit of Christ, by whom we are now to be operated through our faith in Him as Paul says in Galatians 2:20, it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me, and the life I now live I live by faith or rather by the faithfulness of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. And so our faith in His faithfulness are what enables Christ to live his life through us just as sin or the spirit of Satan once lived his quality of life through us. Brett Burrows message ends.
There are huge chunks missed out for brevity. I firmly recommend that those who want to get a handle on some of the historical distortions spend time studying the whole message.

Gnosticism extract from Miracle workers,Reformers and the New Mystics by John Crowder

Gnosticism, or gnostic docetism, claims that all physical matter is evil, and all spirit is good. It denies that Jesus came in the flesh, professing that He was only a spiritual being. Since the flesh is made of matter, it is therefore" evil." But we know that unless Jesus became a man like us, He could not have died for us. He had to become like us in every way, yet be without sin, in order to bear our sin and bridge the gap between God and humanity. This is foundational. The apostle John—who preaches against gnosticism more than anyone else in Scripture—makes it clear that "the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us" (John 1: 14). The incarnation of Christ is the very crux of the gospel—God became one of us, in order to save us.
Gnostics also believed that man is saved by attaining a special, secret knowledge. This is important to remember, to see how it'stied to the religious spirit. It takes the focus off the cross, and puts it on our own works. Gnosticism comes from the word gnosis "to know." By a process of learning and attaining a hidden understanding, gnostics think they can save themselves. This puts the focus on our own attainment and "head knowledge" rather than on Jesus.
How is this relevant to us today? Gnosticism is not just a stronghold behind secular intellectualism. Gnosticism is the main dish served at most seminaries and Bible schools today. It is the Captain Crunch of most Sunday morning services (by knowing more about God, or even memorizing the Bible, you are saved—versus knowing God relationally or experientially). It is heart belief—not a head trip—that is counted as saving faith.
... if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved (Romans 10:9-10).
The idolatry of godly knowledge can even cause us to worship the Bible, rather than the God of the book. Knowing about God is not the same as knowing God. I can know lots of facts about a person, but until I meet him, I do not really know him. An overemphasis on "head knowledge" versus "heart knowledge" is gnostic. This spirit will also cause us to try and figure out all our spiritual problems, without ever actually taking them to the cross. It is a form of godliness that denies the power (2 Tim. 3:5). It produces hearers of the Word, but not doers of the Word.
We recognize this critter most obviously as that unnatural, over-pious, uptight religious monkey That's because it goes against what is normal and natural and human, and calls the contorted result "holy." It tries to make you ascend to God, rather than believe Jesus already came to you. It manipulates the exterior, to appear-spiritual." Religion exalts a mode of self-denial, while never dealing a death blow to the root heart issues of pride and fear.

Our embrace of the cross is not just an embrace of death. It is the embrace of hope in a greater resurrection. We have no guarantee that sacrifice will be fun. But the chief end of Christians is not just to make sacrifices. Our objective is to enjoy God, come what may. Religion worships self death. We worship the Lord......

.....while Augustine surely made remarkable contributions to the Christian faith, he also brought a gnostic influence to mainstream Christianity. Augustine believed the entire world was altogether fallen, to the point that nature itself was basically sinful. His beliefs resurfaced centuries later, influencing reformer John Calvin's teachings that man is completely depraved apart from conversion.
It is one thing to say all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It is entirely another thing to say everything is utterly corrupted. Surely we can do nothing of positive, eternal consequence apart from Christ, but there is a basic, inherent value in the natural realm that cannot be denied. There is original sin, but there is also a measure of original innocence. Eastern Orthodox theologians respect Augustine, but like many in the West, they do not believe this doctrine of "intrinsic
impairment" to be necessary. In Romans 7:18, the apostle Paul says, "I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature." The key term to remember here is "sinful nature"—it is the nature of our wicked hearts, not the natural realm itself, which is evil. We live a paradox as Christians. On one hand, we realize we are utterly worthless apart from Christ, and on the other hand, we carry the full worth of God Himself. His inability to separate the sinful nature from healthy natural desires probably explains why Augustine was a self-admittedly tortured man in the area of sexuality. Had he acknowledged the inherent good in proper marital relations, it is possible that a foundation would have been laid for future clergy. Augustine burned with lust, but he would not marry., contrary to the apostolic teachings. Legalistic abstinence only opens the door for temptations toward aberrant behavior.Augustine's pivotal role in early Christian theology possibly explains the Catholic church's consistent inability to find balance in areas of sexuality in ministry that remains today. While we should not paint a broad target over our Catholic brothers, it is scripturally clear that abstinence from marriage was never a requirement for ministers in the apostolic writings.Peter himself whom Catholics regard as the first Pope, took a wife.

We can boil down the gnostic influence on the church today into a three-fold cord that we must overcome:We are, saved by "knowing." Knowing lots of Christian information and theology has been a substitute for relationship with God.We even know our problems and are aware of the sin we struggle with, but fail to take it to the cross or actually repent. Our level of knowledge far outweighs our level of obedience. Hearers, but not doers.
Leads to death or indulges the flesh. Our humanity is not evil, although we do have a sin nature that must be dealt with. We are to deny ourselves, but not become masochists. The religious spirit will try to make you kill yourself, versus submitting to the Lord and letting Him purify you. We are called to embrace His refining fire, but not go looking for persecution and death. Religion's end is suicide. The opposite extreme here would be to take grace as a license to sin, and think that sins of the flesh are not important since we have spiritual salvation.
The spirit realm seems out of reach. We feel "chained" in our bodies, because we have an underlying belief that we are evil and sinful. This prevents us from naturally flowing in the supernatural realm. We are unable to see God's glory in the simple things of life, and are more aware of an uncleanness around us than we are of God's presence.
It does not take much "discernment" to point out these flaws with the body, but our main task is to build up the church and focus.

on the Lord—not criticize and focus on the enemy's work. Fortunately, as we become full to the brim with the real anointing, and turn our eyes to the living Christ, these strongholds are going to topple.
Our bent toward the natural realm should be to somehow see the glory of God in all things. Remember that we are made in God's image. Ever wondered what God looks like? You look like Him in a lot of ways. Even the natural realm reflects God. God created matter, and nature is not utterly corrupted. We should have an eye for redeeming even those things which are used for evil. When God created the earth, He saw that it was good. This is because the very earth declared His majesty. And there is a higher purpose in store for the earth that prompted God to redeem it.Although we may not always be aware of it, "the whole earth is full of His glory" (Isa. 6:3). Keep in mind that this verse was written after the fall, yet it is still truth. The Kingdom of God is always just at hand—within fingertip reach even while we are in this world—the problem is, His glory usually goes unnoticed.
Like Elisha's servant, we need our eyes opened to the spirit realm, even amid this earthly reality. Heaven is already touching earth, we are just not aware of it. We need to manifest this reality. One day, the earth will also be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea (see Hab. 2:14). That is, one day we will be aware of the omnipresent God who is already in our midst. It is not that the angelic realm will step into our world, but that we will enter more into theirs through a consciousness—an awareness—of God's reality. That, after all, is faith. Believing in the unseen. There will be such an acute consciousness of God's glory that we will see His reflection everywhere we look, even amid out mundane, natural circumstances.
We often pray for God's glory to come. But we should be asking to see and know the glory that is already at hand. We are not tc pull Heaven down from some hazy, unreachable place. Heaven is already within us—we must learn to release it through simple belief.

Can John Crowder really script Havant Church?

This afternoon I was carrying onto the next bit of John Crowder's "Miracle Workers,Reformers and the New Mystics" and I reached the section I reproduce below. It is like a huge section of today's church script - both meetings - if we worked from one, with other sections from my series on Third level Approach to Ministry. Havant Church is going through a bit of a change. When we went to RIVERcamp and heard Mark Stibbe on "The Second Seal", (you can order this from the RIVERcamp website)Peter Stott felt a release of a word he first began sharing over 20 years ago.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal,
"The Lord KNOWS those who are His" and
"Let everyone who names the name of the Lord abstain from wickedness."
In short....after intimacy....comes a tremendous cleansing. But as well as this message, there was a sense of us as men being Gatekeepers to this new move. Perhaps that is the real reason for the current all out war on our minds to try to paralyse us. I'm talking about the floodgates of the availability of porn, and unhealthy media.
Really, the true battle is right here....men standing up and pulling a fresh wave of the Holy Spirit straight out of heaven!!
Here is the John Crowder extract:

Extract from Miracle Workers, Reformers and the New Mystics by John Crowder. Chapter 5 Hidden Streams page 122

ANCIENT DESTINY
We can't keep our pulse on everything the Lord has done throughout history. But the first step to catching up on the groundwork He has laid for us is simply to draw close to Him. In this day and hour, we are being given the key to open and close gateways of good and evil from the past. We are being given the Key of David, which unlocks doors that no man can close and closes doors no man can open. That key is rooted in intimacy. David was a man of worship—a man after God's own heart. Jesus is the Son of David. The fruit of one who walks intimately with the Lord will always be Jesus. The church, like Mary, is called to give birth to an expression of Jesus on the earth. We are a womb to release the invisible into the realm of the visible. To do so, requires intimate union with the Holy Spirit.
Restoration of these ancient streams is our legal due in this hour, but moreover, it is God's loving desire for us. Above all, He wants to restore intimacy. How is this divine passion being revived in our day? The Lord's hand has been restoring the Tabernacle of David (Amos 9:11) through the worship and intercession movement of recent decades. David's Tabernacle was a place of 24-hour praise and worship, where one could have open and intimate access to the presence of God before the Ark of the Covenant, without going through the Mosaic rituals.Worship is a powerful place of intimacy which engages our hearts (in Isaiah 6, we read that a hardened heart is the first step in blinding our spiritual eyes and ears). Out of this intimacy, we learn to hear God, and prophecy is born. Out of prophecy, we learn to obey God's specific directives that release miracles, healings, signs, and wonders. And out of the miraculous, evangelism and harvest are released. Revival starts with worship.
The harvest boils down to intimacy. Why does God want souls saved anyway, except to draw hearts back to Him?
It is beyond belief what is coming to the face of the earth. Beyond articulation. The intensity of spiritual activity will make us either great men or crazy men. By the end of the age, men will be fully possessed by God or they will be fully possessed by the devil. But it will be impossible to live in those days without being possessed. We are designed to be consumed by God's love. We have a choice to be fully consumed by Heaven or hell, but we will be consumed.
With this full consummation of love, we are about to see the reproduction of every Spirit-filled ministry from the time of creation poured out in one lump sum. God is redigging old wells because the destiny of many ministries were cut short. When God plants a ministry, His chief intent is to see it multiply and reproduce. The work of a minister is not just to evangelize, prophesy, pastor, or teach. The work of a minister is to duplicate himself—to raise up other evangelists, prophets, pastors, teachers, and apostles. In fact, such reproduction is specifically a chief focus of apostolic ministries, since apostles are called as fathers, who raise up children and establish churches as "wise master builders." But all of these fivefold office gifts were given "until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Eph. 4:13). Surely, countless ministers have gone on before us without reaching this ultimate level of success: Bringing unity and maturity to all, and causing all to attain to complete fullness of Christ. Not all have fully reproduced.
Of course, the success of a ministry is not measured by how many people we have in our services—not even necessarily by how many people we have raised up to function at our own level of gifting. True success comes when the baton is passed on to the next generation and they exceed our level of ministry and gifting. The true test of adequate equipping is when the successive generation takes more ground than we did. The children must reach further than the fathers. They must go farther-build higher-on the foundations we have laid.
