How Acts 2 IS the HOLY of HOLIES on legs!!

 This morning's Facebook posts on what it is we are actually a part of.

1

The way Facebook works as all you guys know is by participation in the form of a response . A like . The like then gives tacit acceptance to a flow of posts . Can I just say , that I am through with the solo ministry thing . This is a figment of everybody’s imagination . There is no such thing in the Kingdom . You get sent out in minimums of twos . Perhaps not in Christianity , but when you are preaching Kingdom you do . Can I also say I am through with Romans 3 to 5 ministry . Just to be clear there I mean the isolated form of ministry that it is , taken out of all context of the whole of the rest of Romans . Can I also say I am through with women leaping out of “ socialisation “ into an esotericism that involves Grand Masters and angels and lights and stones and crystals and kundilini and chakras and third eyes . What I am interested in is people who know how taking up the Cross works , how Genesis 3 is a lie , how we have died and it is no longer I that live , and this being so true that we have moved from death to life and are inside each other . We are like disciples helping each other with nets . As marvellous as Rodney Howard Browne, Benny Hinn are ... they aren’t actually part of that . As marvellous as all these ladies are finding life beyond the strictures of Law , and male pyramid societies , finding flow and Romans 3 to 5 life ........ and as a common theme loads of ladies club together ...... But are they together really ? The together of the Kingdom really really is the destruction of the “ lone - I “ from Genesis 3. It’s not just where we find each other as Grace covered people . There’s any number of churches of 15-35 year olds as was Rob Rufus church in Hong Kong all drinking of the grace message around 2008-12. But you notice it was still one leader doing all the ministering . If it’s genuine then I guess like Jesus after about 42 months there will be now 12 going off and doing the same . Except it isn’t is it ? Jesus wasn’t ministering out of a single shred of Genesis 3 consciousness . He was transmitting pure Kingdom . He had no “ lone - I “ consciousness so what He was imparting wasn’t miracles , wasn’t even the complete covering for sin . What He was ministering was uncovering any of this sham existence by being filled with grace and truth .At times gently , at times ferociously . And they trusted Him to do it because He had authority .And was ofcourse under authority . Real life and Real Kingdom are the same thing . One thing . And we join each other inside it . But it is absolute Light and not all of Jerusalem were up for it . So here we are and this is the “ king David’s new cart “ of automated fellowship where we “ like “ something . The truth of Light though is we are either drawn to it in one another or repelled by it . And similarly if there’s any Dark we are repelling one another if in that matter we are already in Light . A lot of this is unspoken . It’s inside attitudes behind the things we are writing about . Many times we can’t quite articulate it either . Or it’s like Paul writes “ if I am an eye and because you are a hand , I say I have no need of you .....” so there's some of that too . We are all at different stages and that’s not a problem ..... honestly not .... It’s when a solo person thinks that after being given a gift of healing in 1 Corinthians 12 that they are now John Doe ministries Or That because they have read as far as Romans 5 that being able to minister to 15-35 year olds is the same as Kingdom . Praise and worship 25 minutes . Preach on the covering of the Blood 30 minutes . Get a word of knowledge to heal somebody - a few minutes then everyone’s buzzing and send them home . OK . But none of that’s Kingdom . It’s somewhere in the first two weeks of the gospels except they at least ministered in twos , so it isn’t even that . It gets 15-35 year olds excited ..... for many weeks and months any way ..... Until a church split over real world , real living type stuff .

Why do we go out in twos? So we can now have a tandem pair of Genesis 3 conscious people ministering out of their leftbrain of library facts ? No that would be like taking two mono loud speakers and saying “ hey listen to this . It’s stereo !” It isn’t though . It’s simply two mono speakers . It’s the same sound information reinforced through two mono speakers . THE REASON WE GO OUT IN TWOS AND MORE IS TO BEGIN DEMONSTRATING THE EPHESIANS 1.10 ADMINISTRATION . This is Kingdom . Gerald Coates , Maurice Smith , Dave Bilbrough, John MacLaughlin, David Mansell ( to start ) even the Galloping Gourmet !!! Yup Graham Kerr was there !!!! John Noble ofcourse . Instinctually they were doing Kingdom . But each one were still right inside the old Genesis 3 consciousness still , but with some anointing !!!! By by the lights of 1970s it was brilliant . And it was nascent Kingdom . We aren’t preaching” lone - I Genesis 3” power Christianity . We are not preaching mono loudspeaker Christianity . The whole “ sonic “ information of Kingdom is stereo from the very first sentence . It’s redeemed community . But ofcourse how redeemed we are shows up in LIGHT . If we are still a load of Alan Bennett mono “ Talking Heads “ ( his plays that are monologues ) Just putting us in a room will still be a load of mono speakers . To be baptised in the sea and under the cloud as a people , as a City compacted together , is something God has to work . If we work it , then it’s socialism . It’s redistribution of wealth . Which is just a con , because the elite share out our hard earned goods with a bunch of ne’er do Wells and cream off the top load for themselves .... or sell off all the hardware of a country .... its power its water its railways its health and all these get run as corporations and the expenses skyrocket . That’s why the actual production of any nation devolves mostly back into 70% of self employed and small businesses. Because pyramids don’t work . Endless tiers of middle managers benefit a few at the top but they are the most inefficient way of running anything . The Body . The Kingdom . Our own bodies . Do not resemble Eiffel Towers . Or pyramids . We are a whole . With no middle management . The Body is joined by that which each individual joint supplies . That’s the Ephesians 1.10 Kingdom . In Darkness you have to have pyramids . Darkness churches are run by one human down through tiers . Kingdom Churches are run by the Holy Spirit through living connection and many classes or types of gifting distributed throughout the Body . The one who has real authority is just doing a whole load more “ supplying and joining “.

Fisherfolk, Yeldhall Manor, Reading
Fisherfolk Yeldhall Manor
Wherever they were at the London house church leaders ministered out of the rediscovery of baptism in the Spirit in a no religious setting and RELATIONSHIP . Wherever they were at Graham Pulkingham and the Fisherfolk ministered baptism in the Spirit out of Graham’s deeper Anglican history but out of Community lived relationship . As we proved in Emsworth Community , the Body is itself an entity like our own bodies with its own homeostasis . There’s stuff coming up and in Christ we do have what it takes for things to be brought into complete deliverance . We weren’t very good at it . We didn’t have Norman Grubbs articulation . But it really was going on , had we continued with it . The alarming nature of “ The Hideous strength” that is serpent life quite put the leadership off , and some of the leadership got rid of the more mature leadership and called this all “ way too heavy and unnecessary “. So what happens ? Things which had been more fluid and Kingdom revert back to pyramid , and “ one leaders family “..... with only family members having a look in ... until they too get cheesed off. But no .... the gospel was clear . Take up your cross and follow Me Paul says Dont get bitter in the day of testing . That’s not the same as allowing a pyramid leader to do and say what they like . That’s just Marxism . But when your strongholds are being brought into the Light ..... be assured you won’t like it . It’s not a deckchair on the Mediterranean . It is the Song of Solomon north wind . It is the astringents in Esther’s beautification . Jacob said at Peniel “ Dont let me go until you have blessed me “. Bind the festal sacrifice to the altar . But boy this has to be right !!!! People who are Christ them will really be about pulling you through . The Spirit will be upon them for this purpose . They will be groaning with groans too deep for words and the Holy Spirit will be helping them in their weakness . And guess what ? Next week it will be their turn !!!! Nobody is exempt . We are going from glory to glory . Elders have just had more of this sequence . They’ve done more of this training in righteousness . But nobody can say “ I am without sin now “..... all we can say is we are getting better at believing Christ in me as me . It’s not a doctrine , it’s a manifestation of greater and greater unity and love. Of being inside each other in a holy and healthy way ..... not codependency , aiding and abetting each other’s Genesis 3 alone-I. This is why we “ sniff the air “ like Paul . Because we are spiritual beings we know this stuff anyway when we are amongst people . Understand this ..... yup , some part is a geographical melding of each church in one location .... but it’s really a continuous state in the Spirit . Having fallen in love , God does mean things like says ....Right you have to move on now !!! So it says in Acts on the beach everybody was loving on Paul as he was leaving , with much tears and crying . They genuinely didn’t know if he would be killed . But it’s this Romans 8 state that we are co pollinating round the world . To the extent we are inside it , to that extent we meet each other instantly inside it . When we were firstlevellers , we met each other inside the glorious knowledge of being born again . When we were baptised in the Spirit we met inside that too . When we were having Romans 3 to 5 opened up we nolonger had to regale each other with the exciting things God had been using us to do . We now knew it was just a glorious grace covered being we’d been brought into . But Romans 8 is the place where you know that you know that you know there is no independent self . Romans 7 has strung you up from the ceiling to prove it . You now know something of being inside each other ..... at least relative to the current Rhema word that Christ is speaking and getting you both involved in . Some people are preaching a Christianity , whatever that is . But Jesus preached Kingdom . The Kingdom of heaven is at hand . 3 1/2 years later there was a microcosm that got called ekklesia . Can we really call anything on earth yet run like a pyramid the world over “ church “ or “ ekklesia “? Does it even look like Acts 2? I’ve never heard this spelt out by anybody but me , but isn’t Acts 2 just the Holy of Holies furniture ? In the Holy of Holies there’s a prepared mercy seat . An acacia box covered inside and out with gold , stacked out with three forms of Word . Testimonies of “ Life being lived “ The Rhema NOW Word The Declaration of pulling the whole of heaven into our earth space . Or the almond stick declarations of Deliverance . And above the Mercy Seat the manifestations of Gods Now glory , His Shekinah Presence . So in Acts 2 we see this as all one package . And that is our blueprint as ekklesia . Well where is it ? Anywhere ? For brief instances God works revival like Jesus Word of knowledge about where the fish are . The fish are found and all the ministries are fighting each other over the nets and the biggest hauls . Then we go back to Jesus in the gospels and see the same pattern and reproduction of Kingdom . God has to start somewhere so He starts with His Chosen Son , who though solo , in His Heart are the highways to Zion . So unlike any other ministry anywhere Jesus brings 12 ordinary people into this co shared Holy of Holies reality by Acts 2. Extraordinary . But I’ve never heard that spelled out by anybody ever . Not even R Edward Miller who prayed in the Argentine Revival Not even Jorge Pradas who established a church in every province of Argentina and some others in Europe and UK. WHAT IS IT WE ARE ACTUALLY DOING ?

Yeldall Manor where the Fisherfolk were based in UK, then Vic Gledhill based Life for the World Trust  Drug Rehab here.

  Unless you are born of the Kingdom you cannot see the Kingdom . It’s just endless religious movements and stone buildings scattered across the nations . Cain church and Abel church . Understand the Anglican harvest festival is but a small meme of the entire thing but it sure does go a long way to capturing the whole of it. The idea of bringing in food that you have harvested out of your own farms , not as a sacrifice for sins exactly, they aren’t quite that mad ...... but it’s some kind of “ works thank offering “ for Gods abundant supply . It’s some tins “ on the side “ which will be farmed out to people who will be genuinely grateful , doubtless . But real Kingdom is real heart relationship with God and each other . It dismantles the whole of Genesis 3 separation from the inside of the heart out . We really do all go into the ground and die .... Not to OUR AUTHENTIC SELF..... To our whole Satanically driven spirit infestation that takes a Cross to deliver us in death and resurrection. Our authentic God conceived and God created self comes bouncing back bigger than ever !!! Norman Grubb calls it “ us - with a wink “. Because we know that at our inner centre we have died !!!! If this process doesn’t have Jesus label on it , it isn’t . It’s just that it’s a Holy Spirit label that can’t be seen except by born again eyes . When did I give to you a drink Jesus ? When that little one came in my name and asked for a drink . What is “ my name “? Spontaneously God driven . There is a beggar type who hasn’t the slightest intention of anything other than free food , and they claim that they are coming in Gods Name and asking you for free stuff . But just “ claiming “ and “ being something spontaneous “ in your own God given integrity are two different things . Back to the heart thing . All of us are naturally something . First thing I got used in was having loads of songs . These were a blessing to the Body . Then I got cheesed off . Know why ? I can articulate it now . I didnt want to be stuck for ever and a day with aiding and abetting the Genie Aladdin’s Lamp rubbing of praise . I wanted to get to the heart of what the apostles were actually doing . Vic Gledhill had a burden for all the drug addicts . He began Life for the World Trust and they moved into the Reading House that the Fisherfolk had lived in . During the height of multilevel marketing I met Vic again . By this time he was into motivational speaking in business . A kind of less well known Zig Ziglar . I asked him how he’d pulled away from his drug rehab work . “Only a small number ever get free “said Vic . “I got tired of wasting my life on losers . I feel I can make a greater contribution with those that want to change their mindset .” Want my perspective on that ? Perhaps you dont . My perspective is that is that Vic was a cross between a Matthew and a Mark . He likes things to be practical and actually work , but like Lance Walnau , he’s also a big perspective man , who likes setting things in motion . A builder . An entrepreneur . But if you never “ see “ how Jesus came not only to bless us with Deuteronomy 28 blessings , but to completely reverse the Genesis 3 lie ..... anything you practically try to do for people won’t get anywhere . That’s why we preach Kingdom . That’s why we preach seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness . Not just to be mean . Because it’s the only thing that works . Marxism doesn’t work . Actually neither left nor right politics works . Kingdomtics is the only thing that works , and contains every shade of genuine positivity within all of it .

Covenant Series P18: The Pillar of Fire by Daniel Yordy

18. The Pillar of Fire
I see a terrible thing – no fear of God before their eyes. Does anyone dare to place themselves over God's woman for advantage? Certainly, there is a pastoral heart from which many give all that they have and know to God's people in sincerity of heart, however limited it might be – I'm not speaking of that.
Yet so few care about God; so few will speak only for His heart.
Yes, we can do anything we want with our Creator, with the Word that He speaks – that doesn't mean we should. But we cannot do anything we want with His woman – for He is a fire of jealousy, and He calls all things to account.
This is not about “our redemption.” We are not “getting saved.” We have been seized in the fiery determination of an omnipotent Being who is determined to prove His word true through us into this world of mockery and deceit, who is determined to bring to nothing all who speak against His word and all who play games with those who belong to Him.
When we walk together with other Christians, all of whom hold various levels of expectation and various degrees of definitions of “Christ-likeness,” the temptation coming against us to “be somebody,” to take on ourselves some measure of responsibility “for the kingdom,” can be overwhelming.
Christianity is so much more about pretending than I have ever realized; everyone demands an outward show, everyone judges by the sight of their eyes, producing endless psychosis.
Our only anchor, our only safety, is to KNOW that Christ alone is our life and that He carries us utterly. And let everything else, everything else fall away. Yet in knowing that Christ alone is our life, we also know the reckless determination by which He reveals Himself through us into all the concourses of this planet. This is not something “we do.” We are always being caught up into a consuming fire – more than that – that consuming, arising, swirling Fire would make Himself known through us.
 Christianity is so much more about pretending than I have ever realized; everyone demands an outward show, everyone judges by the sight of their eyes, producing endless psychosis.

He is Love, and He catches everything offered upon the altar up into Himself.
I am placing the ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ together with the pillar of fire that consumed the sacrifice and filled the Tabernacle of God. No, Jesus did not go up like Elijah, but the truth all three pictures represent is the same.
She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was caught up to God and to his throne. Revelation 12:5
“Caught up” is the pillar of fire. God not only carries us from death into life, but He also arises on high and we in Him. God can consume nothing except it be placed upon the Mercy Seat. Yet all things placed there are transformed beyond what we can understand. God is always catching us up inside Himself.
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out; but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it lifted. So the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels. Exodus 40:34-38
When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied. “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.” As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. 2 Kings 2:9-12
I have been practicing this new understanding of bringing all things that are difficult for me into the Mercy Seat of Love inside of God inside of me. I have entered a whole new place of walking with God and of the intercession of Christ, a place I had never known before. And I have seen God move, immediately and with great finesse, risking me in His light, yes, but proving Himself true. And not so much in outward demonstration, but very much inside that most difficult of arenas, the psychology of walking together with other believers in Christ.
I want to draw, in this letter, from questions precious readers have asked me in recent days. I gave them only brief replies because I saw their questions inside this tornado of fire in which we are caught. I carry all these things closely upon my heart into the Holiest of All. But I know that the answer to all questions is found only here upon the Mercy Seat and the Pillar of Fire that consumes everything found upon it.

 I have been practicing this new understanding of bringing all things that are difficult for me into the Mercy Seat of Love inside of God inside of me.
 The first question is from my sister:
Hi Daniel, I am enjoying your book (The Kingdom Rising). I will have to get more (of your books) as soon as I can. I have a question. If we see and believe and confess that Christ in and as us will throw off the curse of death, what is the Scripture referring to when it says "and they loved not their life to the death?"
First, my short answer:
As I contemplated your question, I realized that answering it will be at the core of “The Pillar of Fire.” This is a very important question. “They loved not their life unto the death” is to be understood at several different levels, but first we must see its meaning out from Jesus’ eyes. Otherwise, our seeing will be wrong.  However, the Greek words are, first, clearly a form of agape – then, NOT – then, psyche, or soul/life, and thanatos, death. It is closely related to that other verse in Hebrews – with strong crying and tears unto Him who could save Him from death, and was heard – the central issue is to see it in light of this verse, “that through death, He might destroy him who held the power of death. . .” Thus, by swallowing up the curse, the curse is defeated. The word “destroy” is the word “cause to cease.”
Man defeats his enemies by hacking them to pieces without regard. God defeats his enemies by swallowing them up into life and thus winning the hearts of those involved. Always before we regarded all these things out from man’s point of view. Now we are learning to see them out from Jesus’ eyes.
But, the truth is, I have posited this verse – Rev. 12:11 - as the fourth most important verse in the Bible, yet I have never really expanded on its entire meaning – unrelated to “the world.” That’s because I could not have done so before writing my last few letters. Now, I believe I can.
~~~
We MUST change how we know God; we must, we must.
There are two ways to know Him. The first is how Christianity has known Him, by the definitions of Augustine, as One far above, far away, reaching down and rescuing us, abhorring our “dirtiness,” cleaning us up so we can be happy in heaven – if we line up – and punishing all those who don't measure up by unending torment in screams of agonizing pain without relief and without end.
By this definition of God, man defeats his enemies by hacking them to pieces without regard.
Everywhere you look in today's world, the images and practice of hacking one's enemies to pieces without regard fills the avenues and pathways of all. In video games and movies, in political expression and practice, in the glorifying of war and the men who kill.
I like watching detective shows, but I hate most of the American ones because their answer to every problem is instant violence and treating everyone with open disrespect. So I watch British mysteries because there (in most of the fictional shows at least), even the guilty are still treated with respect as humans, however fallen from glory.
This open disrespect of people is the nature of Lucifer. That same definition has been forced upon God.
We cannot see that way. We don't realize how much our seeing of God has been from that point of view. We must know Him as He is.
Here is the description of God as revealed by the only knowing of God that there is – that Path of Jesus through the Atonement.
– God always reveals Himself through weakness, swallowing up into Himself all that we are including our sin and rebellion, becoming us in our present state, limiting Himself by our weakness. Thus, carrying us inside Himself, stumbling and falling along the way, He arises out of death into life, ascending on high, and we in Him. –
We know God only as the One who fills us with all of His fullness. When we look at ourselves, all we can see is a Holy and a Mighty God in Person as the core of our being, filling all that we are. And we never look at anything except out from His eyes, for we are always and only INSIDE of Him.
Every answer man gives is violence.
The answer of God is the VERY, VERY opposite.
God lays down His life for His enemies, transforming those same enemies into His friends.
Let me bring in these two defining verses, now, and place them at the core of the Covenant, at the very point of contact by which that Pillar of Fire touches all that is earth.
(Christ), in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears (take this cup away from Me) to Him who was able to save Him from death (thanatos), and was heard because of His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. Hebrews 5:7-9
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (thanatos). Revelation 12:11
When we first engaged with the Altar of Incense, with Gethsemane, we were outside of the Holy of Holies, outside of the Veil. No pretenders will ever pass through that Veil.
And oh, Christianity is about pretending. Pretending to be like God, pretending to act like God, driven by duty and obligation, trying, trying, trying to do your “best.” Trying to obey, trying to line up, and then turning and imposing that same definition of “being like God” on all other Christians through hard accusation and assertive foreheads. And all of it, the fruit of the serpent.
No posers, playing games with God's precious people, no manipulators, finding advantage for themselves, will ever know the Holiest. Only those who care about God's heart, only those who tremble when He speaks.
Only when the incense beaten fine has become the smoke ascending to God is there an entrance through the Veil. But then, entering in as the Golden Censor, as the incense arising into God, we discover that same Altar of Incense, that same Gethsemane, has now become the Mercy Seat, and that same incense, arising by fire, has become the Holy Pillar of God.
In Gethsemane, the Blood began.
In Gethsemane, the Cup transformed into Joy.
Gethsemane is the Mercy Seat.
The Mercy Seat is all about transforming this planet by rivers of living water.
The sons of God manifest are the only true evangelists. They are broken, they are kind; they weep, they lay down their lives. They do not pretend; they speak only from the heart of God. And they draw all things into the Mercy Seat, into the love of God that fills them full.
Jesus asked God to save Him from death; God answered Jesus' prayer. Yet Jesus died.
I will not “spiritualize” any word God speaks. The “Spirit of the Word” is the power of that Word, by the Spirit, to bring forth all the life that is in it inside those who hear that word by the faith of the Son of God filling them full.
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2:14-5
“They did not love their lives to the death” is not to be found in any form of pretending to look like God. And all pretending is about the face of other people. I have seen that so strongly the last few weeks, both at Lakewood Church and closer to home. Outward appearance has nothing to do with the face of a God who carries us in weakness, stumbling with us along our way; it has everything to do with the face of other people and the expectation that we all should be trying our damn'dest to look “good,” to look “God,” on the outside.
 The Mercy Seat is all about transforming this planet by rivers of living water.
There is one way only to abandon our sense of “self,” our psychosis, our pretending. You see, the word “lives” in Revelation 12:11 is psuche, or soul. Separate from God, it is psychosis.
We lose our psychosis, our empty life of pretending to be a god, by abandoning ourselves utterly into the Lord Jesus Christ, into the God who carries us. And I can assure you, our enemy will attempt to trick us to “be somebody” in the face of other believers. The temptation of Eve, coming through other Christians, is overwhelming.
There is only one death. If we refuse to know a self inside of us separate from the Lord Jesus Himself, no matter what accusation is hurled against us, within or without,  then we know that one death.
But in knowing that one death, here is what we discover. There is no death. He is the Lamb, having been slain, alive forevermore. Death is swallowed up in victory. We see out only from His eyes, and from nowhere else.
And then we discover that our entire life is the Mercy Seat, the point by which the Pillar of Fire consumes all that is offered to Him. And thus we give ourselves with all abandon to His determination.
Let's look at the Pillar of Fire. The universe is electrical; all things are made of and powered by electricity. The sun is NOT a nuclear furnace; it is an electric arc lamp, the discharge point of a mighty band of electrical power flowing down the spiral arms of the Milky Way galaxy.
Everything on this earth is an electrical phenomenon. Earthquakes and volcanoes, hurricanes and tornadoes, are all electrical discharges. To understand the science of which I am speaking, spend time on this website: www.thunderbolts.info.  I read their “Picture of the Day” every weekday morning.
Regular tornadoes are among the most powerful natural forces on earth.  Here is a definition from Wikipedia:
A tornado is "a violently rotating column of air, in contact with the ground, either pendant from a cumuliform cloud or underneath a cumuliform cloud, and often (but not always) visible as a funnel cloud". For a vortex to be classified as a tornado, it must be in contact with both the ground and the cloud base.
Note the phrase “it must be in contact with both the ground and the cloud base.”
The Pillar of Fire, the tornado of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the connection between earth and God. By Him, all things are consumed, drawn up in His vortex of wind into the Being of Almighty God.
We are not the earth. We are the point of that Vortex touching the earth, by which all things are transformed from death into life. (Listen, I'm not the one mixing metaphors – God is responsible for that.)
We are the Mercy Seat; we are the Ark of the Covenant; we are the earth-side point of the Pillar of Fire.
But a cosmic electrical tornado is far, far more than present weather tornadoes. The earth has not been scoured by tornadoes of cosmic electricity, probably for 3000 years. But those mighty electrical tornadoes, scouring the earth, digging canyons, raising mountains, shaping and reshaping the earth were very much known inside the history of man.
You can read about a present day cosmic tornado in the Jupiter system here:
Sometime, probably between Noah and Abraham, man on this earth stood in terror and awe as they watched, right there in the sky, as close as the moon only larger, Jupiter and Mars in cosmic battle. As they watched, a mighty, mighty thunderbolt arced out from Jupiter striking across the face of Mars, digging the deepest scar in the solar system. The carved idols of Mars, the god of war, have a deep scar carved across its face. That scar cannot be seen on Mars in its present position by the naked eye. Yet our forefathers testify that they watched it happen, right there in the sky, right before their eyes.
Cosmic tornadoes, mighty thunderbolts of electrical fire arcing out of the heavens upon the earth, are very real; they fill the annals of history and the Bible, and we could well see them, once again, scouring this planet.
They are a picture to us of the God who has seized us in His mighty grip.
The Pillar of Fire is the largest part of the Tabernacle, but we know it only in the Holy of Holies, upon the Mercy Seat.
The “Pillar of Fire” is a metaphor, a picture to us of the nature and Being of this God who always catches us up in Himself. Weather tornadoes are stupendous enough. I experienced the passage of a powerful tornado right over the top of us when I lived at the Bowens Mill community in Georgia. It was ripping mighty trees out of the ground, hurling them up high into the sky, and then slamming them down like toothpicks upon the ground. Yet as it's passage went over the flimsy trailers in which we lived, it lifted up from the ground momentarily, and not one person was harmed. The huge pine trees immediately on the other side of us did not survive.
But the Pillar of Fire seen in Exodus was far more than that; it was a cosmic thunderbolt, arcing out of the heavens, scouring the earth.
It was God, consuming all things into Himself in a sacrifice of fire.
But let's bring that picture, now, into our present lives, into the seemingly insignificant minutiae through which we pass every day.
We are the Mercy Seat; we are the tip point of that Fire touching the earth, consuming the sacrifice. By us the universe is transformed from darkness to light, from death to life.
This is the Covenant we signed with God; this is the Covenant by which God wins all His desire.
I received two questions from a sister who reads these letters. The first, I will share only my response, but the second, I want to share of her email as well.
R___
It can seem hard or even "wrong" to draw what is wrong into love inside of us. But that is what Jesus did with all the wrong of the universe. We don't repeat His doing, but rather, we draw all that God allows in our lives into that same doing of Christ inside of us. I have found for myself that is the only way things actually change for the good. And inside, I know the Lord as I never have before.
In fact, I can see that it becomes a joy to draw that which is offensive into love inside of us, for the wonder and beauty that comes out of God's incredible exchange program is unending. That love is a love of ourselves as God made us found fully in love for God. If we do not love ourselves as we find ourselves to be, we can never thrust our lives entirely into God – and that is the only place where we abandon "ourselves" with all joy. For we abandon nothing. Everything is always brand new.
And then, including that which is tormented and tormenting into that same love breaks the discordant power of evil and allows the afflicted one, not even knowing how or why, to walk free of that power.
Then, her next communication:
Daniel, I just read “Our Inheritance” and I am trembling and desire to have, know and enter into all that God has for me.  God has provided many faithful ministries that have fed us over the years and yet they had a portion and they remain loved and respected.  And then it seems God says to move on and along comes another ministry with something deeper or some things that must be searched out and explored.  I am referring to your ministry and the unique way you have with words that are plain yet must be experienced.
I have been praying as you share of placing things into the love of God inside of God inside of us and now I am faced with a serious health issue that C___  faces.  To minister to him that which helps him.  Can God not heal his kidneys and give him good function? Is Jesus not able and willing? Call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
Jesus is the Savior who is the anointed of the Father. He is the King of kings after the order of Melchizedek and the Lord of lords to whom every knee will bow in true adoration and every tongue will acclaim that He is Lord under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of Truth and The Father will be all in all.  His name is called the Word of God.  This is the Christ I believe in and share and receive from and desire all; to know and love.  I am willing to go on this journey.  R___
First, my initial reply:
R___, I have been holding these thoughts and questions before the Lord. I have no easy answer. My next letter is "The Pillar of Fire," and I see that these things are for that letter.
The question is not so much who Christ is, and is He willing, rather it is how we are to be found inside of Him. He is always ascending on high in a pillar of fire. Our desire is to find ourselves caught up always in that arising. In a sense, we want superman power in order to "fix" things for ourselves and those we love. That's one side, the other side, of course, is that God says He will do these things.
I have gone through a difficult several days. But I have done through this time what God has shown me in recent letters – I have drawn all the difficulty into love inside of God inside of me. I continue and will continue to do that, for in this practice of the Mercy Seat, I find His life and power. He transforms everything – but always from the inside out. The transformation always begins in us before it can proceed outward to others.
And I will continue to carry your thoughts and questions in my heart before the Lord. I carry your same grief and desire.
~~~
Second, I fear God. When someone shares with me that they are hearing God speak to them through what I share, all I want to do is lay my face upon the floor before the Holy. “God, cause me to be pure; cause me to speak only from Your heart.” To be found anywhere else is more terrifying than we can comprehend. God plays no games.
But now I want to re-state the Mercy Seat, as clearly as I can, as it works in our present daily lives.
When God is seen in heaven, He is seated always upon His throne. When God is seen in us, He is seen seated always upon our hearts. God fills us with all of His fullness, but the central arena of God in us, in the earth, in all creation, is the Mercy Seat. Here it is that God meets with us; here it is that all things are translated out of the old creation and into the new.
To enter the Mercy Seat is to pass between the cherubs, the mightiest creatures God ever made. No posers, no pretenders pass their piercing scrutiny, no gimmicks come near, no achievement of human ability to “do what God says.” Yet all are free to come boldly with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
There upon that Mercy Seat is Blood. That Blood began in Gethsemane, mixing with the  dirt of the earth upon the Mount of Olives, upon the streets of Jerusalem, past the temple mount, staining the earth of Golgotha where Abraham offered Isaac to God. That Blood, carried mixed with the dirt of this earth by the triumphant King of Glory into the bosom of God, each drop of greater value than all creation.
And there splattered across the Mercy Seat, this same throne upon which we sit.
The Blood.
This is no mamby-pamby lovey-dovey filling us full, this Mercy Seat of Love in which all things are transformed. This is no “self-love” by which we love first ourselves, as God made us to be, and then by which we love all things, regardless of their present doing. No, this is the most terrible transaction in all history and in all the ages to come.
In this place of Blood, the old ceases; it is found no more. And all things arise brand new, caught up in that fiery vortex that is God.
This Mercy Seat is our hearts. Our hearts contain the power to transform everything – by love.
When we used to think that God was like Satan, hacking His enemies to pieces without regard, torturing them in endless cries of horror, we did the same. If someone were sick, we flailed against the sickness, rebuking the demons, hacking, hacking. It didn't matter that few were ever healed, we thought we were being “like God.”
In actuality, we were practicing a Christian form of atheism. This cancer, this diabetes, this autism, this body broken from a car wreck was something that, for us, God was definitely NOT. And thus our hearts were filled with hatred, and we whacked and hacked without results.
No hatred ever approaches the Mercy Seat. Nothing can change from the old creation to the new except there.
Is God God? And does He fill all things concerning us? Look at that person with diabetes. Does God not fill them full with all of His fullness? Does God not carry them in every particular in their lives? How shall we separate any part of them from God?
At the same time, God does no evil; He does not abuse His children. The point is this – how does God transform anything from old to new, from evil to unending goodness?
The Mercy Seat: Blood: Love.
Nowhere else.
This last week I faced a small measure, again, of the most difficult thing I have faced in my life. The circumstance would, at every point in the past, including a couple of months ago, have ripped the stuffing right out of me, leaving me depressed and incapable for days. Rather, I took that thing right into Love upon the Mercy Seat inside of God filling me full. And there I held it.
As I did so, I saw the darker, stronger thing behind it, a circumstance I feared because of the debilitating hopelessness and despair it always brought into my life, and I drew that thing into Love. My love for God; His love for me. My love for myself; my love for all things. I drew that thing into Love, there upon the Blood. And it changed, caught up into the Consuming Fire whose tip I am.
The darkness became light and was no more.
Let's practice this Mercy-Seat thing. Let's do it. Let's see what God will do. Will we see bodies healed? Blind eyes opened? People raised from the dead? Will we see lives transformed? Prisons opened? Kingdoms of darkness overthrown? Will we see the earth healed? Creation set free? The glory of God covering this earth as the waters cover the sea?
I think we will. This is the Covenant; this is the determination of God.
Yes, Christ is healer, He is power, He is Savior. He does wonderful things for all who turn to Him. That is not the question. The question is, how are we just like Him?
Here is the New Covenant in its shortest expression in the Bible:
We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
The sun is an electric arc lamp. However, in actuality, the fire of the sun consists of millions upon millions of mighty pillars of fire, all swirling, scouring, consuming at once. The sun itself, apart from the electric discharge upon its surface, is most likely a gas ball, similar to Jupiter or Saturn. But as the largest object in our vicinity, it is the “lightning rod” that draws the discharge of the endless flow of charged electrons flowing through outer space.
Space is not a pure vacuum. Every several feet there is a charged electron moving through space. That is far fewer electrons than are found in a man-made vacuum on earth. However, you add up all the electrons moving through the space dominated by the sun and they are all the power needed to produce these millions upon millions of pillars of fire that turns that giant gas ball into our Sun.
Here is a link to an article on the pillars of fire that are the Sun, the solar tornadoes, then the picture.
See that pillar of fire on the right? I don't know it's size, but it could be the size of the earth. It's just one of countless millions of such pillars on the sun. From Noah's flood on, for several hundred years, maybe to Isaiah's time, those pillars of fire, just like that one, though much smaller, were not uncommon on the earth. There was a whole slough of them reported all over the planet in the BC 1400's, during the time of the Exodus.
For as the Sun arises in the east and shines to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:29 (altered to fit the actual words in the original)
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19
The morning star, the Sun, the Pillar of fire, the Lord Jesus Christ arises in our hearts. The sun is not one pillar of fire, but millions, and so is the body of Christ. Millions of us, each one a pillar of fire, drawing up into God all things placed upon the Mercy Seat in love in our hearts.
Drawing all things out of the kingdom of darkness, out of pain and suffering and loss, drawing them into love, carrying even our enemies inside ourselves, stumbling with them in their weakness, causing all things that must cease to cease, catching all things up brand new in the God who fills us full, arising in that same Pillar of Fire that He is into glorious liberty.
I know, God's rather weird, all this pillar of fire stuff – calling it love. But since He's God, and since He fills us full, transforming the universe through us, He is free to be exactly what He is.
 For our God is a consuming fire. Let brotherly love continue. Hebrews 12:29-13:1
The day dawns, the morning star, the Pillar of Fire arises in our hearts.

16. Until My Enemies Are Made My Footstool –
In the path of the atonement, the next step is the ascension of Christ into the heavens. I will come back to the ascension on high. However, the final act of Jesus in the Atonement, sitting down at the right hand of the Father and we in Him, corresponds to the Mercy Seat.
At the same time, the final and most significant furnishing in the Tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness, in the Holy of Holies, is the Pillar of Fire.  God Himself in residence in His Holy Temple.
The Mercy Seat, the throne of God, the Lamb Slain is the place inside of God inside of us inside of God where the authority of God takes all things offensive to Himself, His “enemies,” and causes the offense to cease, and the thing or person weighted down by that offense to be transformed into something brand new in the new creation.
This is the authority of God, His throne.
Three years ago, I wrote a letter titled “Seven Aspects of Christ,” in which I listed “the authority of Christ” as the seventh point we must explore. I said at that time that I knew little of that authority and thus could not speak of it now. In that letter I also showed how each aspect of Christ contained an inner working that always comes first and then an outer working that always flows out of the inner working. Here is what I said about authority:
To sit with Jesus upon the throne of God is to be the authority of God in the universe. Every word we speak carries great authority. We have no idea. Yet this topic in its fullness is beyond my present place upon this path God has us on. I will share of it in part, but I cannot now share of it in its fullness.
I did not realize then that I did know what the inner part of the authority of Christ in our lives is and how we implement that inner authority into our full knowing and experience.
I have the RIGHT to become a son of God.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12
Authority is not force or “power over,” it is “right.”
We must exercise this right to become a son of God all the way through to our full knowing on the inside of us of our present place upon the throne of God inside of Jesus.
I now understand, for the first time in my life, what that extension, the outworking of the authority of Christ inside of us IS and how it works. I am a novice, but not for long.
Let's bring in the verses of the Covenant that lay out the terms of this authority, this right, now flowing out of us to set all creation free.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit . . .” Matthew 28:18-19
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us . . . raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace . . . Ephesians 2:4-7
. . . the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Philippians 3:20-21
But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,  from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. Hebrews 10:12-14
And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations— ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ — as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. Revelation 2:26-28
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21
There are other verses speaking of this authority, but I want to focus on two things in particular. First, this “working” by which Jesus “subdues all things to Himself.” And second, that we are inside this working, this authority, it is fulfilling its full work in us and then out through us to all creation.
 From that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.
I also want to rip the “Great Commission” out of the paradigm of “escape hell, go to heaven,” a false paradigm that obscures and dishonors the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I want to place that Great Commission utterly into the place where it belongs, The Mercy Seat inside of God inside of us.
Now, we must make the authority of the Mercy Seat, it's power to take what is meant for evil and transform it into inestimable good, very personal, practical, and real.
Recently, I shared with you what has been the vision of my heart for many years, a community of Christ, a teaching community, and in particular, the bold and impossible idea that God would fulfill that vision in an isolated valley in the northern British Columbia wilderness.
My sharing of that vision struck a cord of witness that reverberated in the hearts of many. A few weeks later, Chris Welch, my English friend, suggested that we pool a fund of money to enable us to gather as near to Blair Valley as we could to pray for its birthing.
His suggestion hit me right between the eyeballs. It's one thing to “speak in faith,” but quite something else to be faced with the reality of what you are suggesting.
The question I then faced was: “Is this really what I want? Do I really believe this to be true?”
The answer of my heart to both was, “Yes.” But I had to work through many conflicting emotions to know that my answer was unchanged.
Because, you see, I gave you a view of Blair Valley in the summer time. I love Blair Valley in the summer time. AND I love it on any single day of winter, or even on many single days of winter.
Let me explain my problem. I grew up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, in the countryside, right next to the Cascade Mountains. That's fine for those who stay there, but for those who leave that paradise and venture forth into other climes, they are condemned to a lifetime of pining and groaning for what ought to be but is not.
I grew up in West Coast Marine climate, similar to England, but only those who live in the country in England will know what I mean. It is green year round, greener in the winter months than in the summer. A boy doesn't mind a bit of brown in the summer months because he is too busy swimming in the mountain streams and stuffing his face with raspberries and blackberries, salmon berries and thimble berries, huckleberries and strawberries, cherries and apples, plums and – you get the point. (I left off my favorite, grapes, late October; I can put away a lot of grapes very fast.)
Things grow in Oregon, all the time, BIG.
I like growing things – green and colorful and sweet.
Things grow at Blair Valley fast and big – through the three months of summer. And there are wild strawberries and raspberries, tiny but sweet.
Then, for nine long dreary frozen months, nothing grows. Nothing.
Six months below freezing. Now, don't get me wrong, the winter in the North is beautiful. But for a boy who grew up in paradise, it just lasts tooooo long. The worst is January and February, when the temperatures are the lowest, the days are the shortest, the nights are the longest, the dim, tiny cabins are the dreariest, and everyone gets sick, especially the children, high fevers and depression. And summer is still too far away. In fact, the months yet ahead BEFORE summer are longer than summer itself.
Things grow year round in Houston, but they don't grow very fast or well. This still is not really garden country. (And in the South, “paradise” is filed with poisonous snakes and chiggers and other things too nasty to mention.)
So I long for all growing things, especially berries, for chickens pecking in the back yard, for big trees and flowing mountain streams. For a dog running with me through the (snake-less) woods.
And in the Canadian north, in the middle of icy winter, the longing becomes almost unbearable.
Enter the Mercy Seat and the authority of Christ to bring all things into submission under His feet.
You see, always before, when I thought that I was “bad,” and that my longing for what I did not have was “of the flesh,” I could not stand in that theology. I could never pretend enjoyment of things I could not bear. I could never “make myself” “obey.”
I cannot return to the Canadian north apart from the Mercy Seat.
Let's take what I cannot bear into the Mercy Seat. Let's turn the Cup into Joy.
I LOVE nine long dreary frozen months when nothing grows. I love six months below freezing. I love January and February, and the mud-snow-mud-snow-mud-snow yo-yo of April and May. I love the coldest and longest nights, the shortest days of little sun, the small and dreary cabins. I joy in the high fevers and low depression.  I love the time when summer is “too” far away.
Saying this right now, for the first time, changes something inside of me. No, I'm not faced with it at present, but as the Lord provides miracles, I cannot return to Blair Valley without victory and joy on the inside all the way through. And the truth is, with sufficient provision, I know exactly how to alleviate much of the difficulty.
This works both ways, of course. I knew a brother in Canada who loved the winter and hated the summer. His definition of paradise was Antarctica where the temperatures never rise above freezing. Ha! He fell in love with a girl from southern Florida and had to spend time in Miami to win her parents as well. They compromised, though – upstate New York, half summer and half winter!
Now, this is not a question of changing ourselves on the inside. NO! Christ is our life, we have no other life. The only thing that changes is the increase in our knowledge of Him and our knowledge of the extent to which our oneness with Him goes in setting creation free.
In fact, the belief that “I” must bring my unwilling flesh into submission to the “dictates” of God over my life, that God is “after” my “surrender” to His “command” is just part of that old ugly thing, Adam's rebellion, calling it the “cross of Christ.” Harsh, bitter,  frozen separation.
No. What is happening here in the Mercy Seat inside of love is the transformation of the universe.
Christians who chose to give thanks IN all things only, who tolerate the evil circumstances by giving thanks only for the things they do like, shoving into the background the things they hate, can never know the power of the Mercy Seat, the power by which Jesus brings all things into subjection under His feet, the power of love.
Nothing “evil” can stay evil inside the Mercy Seat. Inside the power of love, all that is objectionable ceases (the ever-present Blood) and that which once was “evil” is now transformed into beauty and goodness.
I am convinced that Blair Valley will not stay as it is. I am convinced that the day is coming very soon, as the curse is swallowed up by love and life, that Blair Valley will become a place known for growing things, green and sweet and colorful. I am convinced that the earth is about to be covered with the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
Now, let's bring that same power to the people in our lives.
Understand that people themselves never bother us; it's the things they do or don't do that offend.
Those who have the power to inflict pain on us are usually the closest to us in some way. Over time, we build up a fear. We may love the person deeply, but in certain situations, things are said or done that trigger our fear.
And thus we respond out of that fear.
Now, I will say it again because the distinction is so very important. Always before the requirement lay upon me that I “ought to” or “have to” forgive. And of course, all the Bible verses are trotted out – If you do not forgive your brother his trespasses, neither will your Father in heaven forgive yours. But the threat continues, and we feel very vulnerable. The requirements of an implacable God are overwhelming.
That whole way of thinking has vanished from my mind. Why? Because I know that in all times in all ways in all things, He carries me. I know that I am filled to overflowing with the love of God. I don't have to “feel” anything. I know because He says.  I believed that what He says is true for several years, speaking Christ. I “believe” no more. The day came when I knew. I continue speaking Christ, but out of knowing, not out of hoping.
The throne of God, the mercy seat of heaven fills me full, pressing out to my rib cage, and overflowing beyond in rivers. As it does you. – God!
And His authority is absolutely invested in me.
I have the right to become a son of God.
I have the right to subject everything to the power by which Jesus subdues all things to Himself – LOVE!
And so I take the offense that is most frightening to me, when I am feeling the most vulnerable in close relationships with others, and I draw that offense and all my frightful vulnerability into the Love of God, into the Mercy Seat that fills me full.
“God, I thank you for this difficulty and offense. I am so grateful. I love _____________ (name the offense), and I love _____________ (name the person) with all the Love that fills me full. They rest, both person and difficulty, in love inside of me.”
And the enemies of Jesus come into submission under His feet. I am His feet.
And the person who committed the offense is now set free from all shadow of that offense.
It's not that I, also, am set free. I was set free when Jesus said, “I and the children whom You have given Me.”
No, it's that I have released this person into the glorious liberty that fills me full and flows out from me.
Try it, the next time you are struggling under an offense against you by someone else. God is not “proving” you; He is proving His authority through you.
When we draw all things into love, we cause the offense to cease and the person to go free.
The person is never “under our control.” That is the purpose and power of bitterness and hatred. No, the person walks away free, released fully to be themselves in God. There is no “power over” in the kingdom.
Now, this is not some wet-noodled “just loving everybody” sort of stuff.
This is no “liberal” “everything's cool, brother, everything goes.”
The power of the Mercy Seat is the Blood Stains that cover it. Those spots of Blood are an awful transaction. God ripped open for all to see. Mercy is full judgment against sin. Mercy is a terrible, terrible thing.
Yet the moment that Mercy has accomplished its work, all offense is forgotten and no longer exists.
Just as no atom of Jesus' body can be found in the old creation, so no atom of offense can be found in the new creation. The person who offended lives brand new.
We have the authority to draw all things into the Mercy Seat and by the power of God filling us full, cause all offense to cease. It is the power by which Jesus subdues all things to Himself; it is the power of Love.
Yet, we must make here two STRONG distinctions.
First is a horrific thing I have seen practiced in the name of “the cross, brother.”
Jesus said, “It is necessary that offenses come, but woe to him through whom they come.”
Offenses coming against us continually are necessary as we move in our role as sons of God setting all creation free. How can we absolve all offense inside the Blood inside of us except offense come our way? How can we see sin cease in those whom we love except we draw their offense into the Mercy Seat that fills us full?
But here is a practice I have seen in Christian circles when we once believed that God “sent us” offensive things in order to “bring us to the cross,” or “prove us whether we will obey Him or not,” or anything in that carnal mindset of separation from God. And that is the weight placed upon others that says, “Well, brother, you may not like this, but it's the cross for you, so just die to yourself, brother.” That's bad enough. But there is something worse.
The worse thing is when those “in charge” devise difficulty for others because of some perceived “need” the others have to “die to their flesh.” This practice in whatever form it comes by whoever against whoever is evil. Something in my gut always wrenched when I witnessed or heard this expressed. And I am so glad that Jesus has washed my own sins away and thus I no longer look at any time in the past where I may have intended such a thing against any other, even a little bit.
Let me give just one example. A brother I knew had owned and run a commercial construction business before he moved to community. He was not “rich,” but he had a bit more money than most of us. Upon his arrival in the community, however, in spite of his experience, or, rather, because of his “worldly” experience, he was given the job of sorting out buckets of bent and rusty nails, returning them to some sort of usefulness.  The reason for the task was to “teach him humility.”
This is a silly example, and one which I'm sure the brother laughs at now. But it is an example of far worse practices we have done against one another in the name of a false “cross.”
That is not the authority of Jesus nor the Mercy Seat that causes all offense to cease.
The second distinction we must make is much bigger.
I said that we draw “all things” into the Mercy Seat inside of us.
That does not include no – things. Inside the category of no-things are sin itself, the world, and death.
Jesus did not pray for the world, and neither do we.
First, when we draw that which is offensive to us into love, the very act of doing that annihilates the sin. Of course, something offensive to us need not be “sin.” A person emanating excessive body odor in a close public place is offensive. But there is no commandment that says “Thou shalt take a bath once a day.”
But if the offense is by sin, then, yes, we draw the hurt and pain concerning that offense into the love of God inside of us including all individuals involved. The sin itself is annihilated by the Blood of Jesus before it ever comes near. You see, it is drawing the thing past our own hurt, bringing our own selves into the very love of God filling us full that causes the offense to cease.
The world, even though it is overwhelmingly powerful, is non-existent. It is an illusion only, imaginary.
And this is why we cannot set creation free until we shatter the nations.
It is very popular in America to pray for “the President.” I do not, nor did Jesus, ever pray for “the President.” Peter did not say that we should pray for authority figures in this world. He said that we should pray for those in power THAT WE MIGHT LIVE IN PEACE. In other words, pray that the curse of human government would leave people alone, that the innocent would not suffer at the hands of human power in this world.
You see, it is perfectly fine to pray for the man, Barack Obama. But the only prayer we would pray for him would be that he would come to know Christ. The problem is “the Presidency.” As long as the man remains president, he will NEVER know Christ. Thus, to “pray for Barack Obama” is to pray that he resign the presidency and turn his back on all the pride and prestige of this world.
When you “vote” for someone to be “President,” you are cursing that person, placing them into a delusion that will stand fully between them and Christ.
Human government in this world is the arrogance of pride.
All who exercise “authority” over others in this world do so inside an open hostility to the Person and Being of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only those who turn their backs on “power over,” accepting the loss of all things in this world, will ever know Christ. Drawing any person into Love inside of us is for the sole purpose of drawing them into Christ. If we pray for Barack Obama, we ARE praying that he would walk away from all his vain-glory and pride, turn his back on all that power and know Christ.
No one in the middle of “power over” will ever know Christ; they are anti-Christ.
God has nothing to do with the machinations, the plans and purposes, the conniving and manipulation, the boasting and vain-glory of human government in this world. He may turn it to fit His unseen purposes, and He may block it from all of it's lustful and violent intent, but none of the delusion ever enters into Christ.
I have observed the power that group association holds over people, as have you. The power of the group, whether it be country or country club, corporation or non-profit education, church group or poker club, all human associations in this world, the power of the group over the face of the individual person tied to the group is overwhelming.
To know Christ is a FULL self-identity. To know the group is a FULL self-identity.
Out from Christ, we love one another. Out from the group, face is everything. We MUST conform to the expectations of the group. Even those who reject society are reacting to the face of society only. Their identity is still utterly shaped by the world.
Observe people relating within a group, any group. Watch how much power the face of the group holds over their face, over what mask they wear for what occasion. You see, it is entirely the clothing of fig leaves.
That is why “Jewishness” is the greatest enemy of individuals who think they are “Jews” whether truly or not, and why the cross having put to death ALL “Jewishness” is such a precious gift of God.
Yet to be clothed with Christ alone is to know no identity other than His life filling us full. And only those who speak all that Christ their life is inside of them, who acknowledge the good things of Christ inside of them and deny the existence of anything else, only those know their identity as Christ as them.
EVERYONE else must put on a face for the group.
“Power over” is insidiously evil; it is the nature of Satan. Those who wield power over others do so only as the Beast; in that role, in that place, they cannot ever know Christ.
Let me make a clear distinction here. An employer on the job, a teacher in the classroom, a parent in the home, is not moving in “power over.” When your boss tells you how to do your job it is only because of a mutual and limited contract you have entered into with your workplace. The same goes for a teacher in a classroom. Parents in the home hold a unique role, yet those who move in Christ in that role never exercise any form of “power over.” I always set my children free of “me,” and they know it. The result is that they continue to be quite willing to be guided by any wisdom I may have, knowing that I will always support them and leave them free in their own choices.
But when dictate throws people in prison or extracts the labor of their hands to spend it willy-nilly, there is nothing of Christ in any of that.
To know Christ is to turn your back on all “power over” in this world and all group “face.”
Jesus hung naked on the cross before His own mother; He thought nothing of the shame because He knew the God who filled Him full. Jesus wore no face for this world; He exercised no “power over.”
Show me one place where Jesus forced another to His will.
Jesus is God revealed.
Yet the power that groups in this world hold over all is overwhelming. They will never know Christ until that power is shattered.
And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations— ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ — as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. Revelation 2:26-28
True “evangelism” MUST shatter the nations first, for no one will know Christ who labors under the false face of “the group.”
We cannot “make disciples of all nations” without the authority of the Mercy Seat, without shattering group identity first.
 We will never love death. Death is the very last enemy of God to cease it's vicious work. We love the life flowing out from us that eliminates death and swallows its victims up into LIFE.
What then do we love? What real things do we draw into Love inside of us?
We must start with ourselves, all of ourselves as we find ourselves to be.
I am not speaking of “selfishness”; I am speaking of the perfection of God. God created us and formed us each in particular as it pleased Him. To hate ourselves in any way or for any reason is to hate God; it is rebellion. To love God is to love how we find ourselves to be. We walk only in the light; all sin is washed away from us at all times. Whatever weaknesses or difficulties we find inside ourselves, we give God full thanks FOR and we draw into LOVE by loving ourselves as we find ourselves to be.
Then we draw into the power of that Love all whom we love and all who pass by our way.
Do not pray for the governments of this world. It's fine to pray for the people, but why would we spend time praying for someone far away from us, just because the world worships them, instead of loving those all around us who are real to our lives.
Let's be careful that our “prayers” are not in sync with the face of this world and its beast worship.
And we draw into our Love all the circumstances by which God orders our steps. Those circumstances include all offense and all difficult things.
Let's take cancer, for instance. If cancer, or some other disease, afflicts our body, where do we keep that awful circumstance? Do we keep it in the love of God or do we keep it far away from Him? If you “hate” the cancer and are always “battling against” it, then it can only continue to afflict you, for you have not placed it in the only place that causes all offense to cease.
Giving thanks FOR the cancer and placing it inside the Love of God that fills you full does not “affirm” the cancer, but it removes all power that evil might claim over you.
The idea that giving thanks for cancer, naming “cancer,” somehow places the cancer “above” the Lord Jesus is just plain stupid. The idea entertains dim minds; it serves no other purpose.
Quite the contrary, drawing the cancer into the Mercy Seat, into love and thankfulness, brings it into full submission to the Lord Jesus.
And don't ever forget, thankfulness is only the first step of two. There is also the resurrection, there is also the ascension, there is also the Pillar of Fire. The second step is ALWAYS the expectation of God arising; it is always Triumph!
Those who “plead the blood,” who “pray against the demons,” are demonstrating the fear and doubt in which they live. They do not know Christ nor His power, nor that He utterly carries them. They cannot draw the cancer or whatever the difficulty might be into the Mercy Seat because they have no idea who they are, who Christ is, or where they presently sit.
You see, it's a simple trick. When God arises and we in Him, His enemies flee. The expectation of God.
But when we hold our difficulty far away from God, He can never arise carrying all that we are inside of Him.
To hold our difficulty far away from Love inside of us is to hold it with white-knuckled grip as our own possession. Can we bear such a thing? I know I cannot.
Yet that is not who we are. We are sons of God; we sit upon His throne, the throne of heaven, and we set all creation free in the glorious liberty flowing out of our bellies.
That is our only identity; we know nothing else.
I can assure you, this is all brand new for me.
I carry deep pain over many things. I experience deep angst and unresolved desire. Relationships with people, especially those who hold some sort of authority over me, are never easy for me.
“Always overcoming” difficulty came to me in the past inside of “Daniel, you are bad.” That thought always crippled me, ripped the ground out from under me, blew the wind right out of my sails. And in the midst of assault I always collapsed. I have known overwhelming failure.
And so for a number of years I rejected out of hand any “overcoming” of anything. I could not bear such a requirement.
Now my thinking and my identity is truly altered to Christ alone. I know that He carries me utterly all the way through; I know that God fills me full.
Yet the difficulties continue on right on.
In this world you will have tribulation (everything that can go wrong will go wrong), but be of good cheer (get excited, laugh, give all thanks for all difficulty), for I have defeated the world.
And now, to draw all the difficulties that assail me into the Mercy Seat, into this authority of the Lamb Slain in which I sit, is not only very, very doable, it is my calling, my gift, my destiny.
It is what I – and you – do best.
