Using Scriptures as a club..... By Stephanie McEntire

Using scriptures as a club to beat into submission

by The Free Believers Network on Thursday, 10 November 2011 at 15:29
By Stephanie McEntire

This person and her Son are having major conflict and the conflict doesn't matter but the abuse involved and how it is affecting this kid is horrible.

The Mother, who is exactly that "parrot" you describe uses scripture that she has no idea the spirit behind...to twist into a club to beat this kid into some kind of submissive state using "God' as the club which really is a testimony to her lack of love and compassion and poor parenting skills. BUT...because it is "scripture" it's O.K. to steal the life and joy from this child and make him feel ashamed and fearful about everything. The sad part is that her abuse gains mass support from the "church"....who encourage her to continue to "use" the word of God because it does not return "void"...as if the abuse is going to change him into something other than who he is...as this present moment.

Want to know something funny? Her "child" is actually a grown man. But because of her abuse for so many years, he remains a child, vacillating between "good and evil" serving a "lesser" God... who doesn't love him or care... or have compassion...and he remains almost paralyzed in his soul due to the "beatings" with scripture. No matter how much I work with him on how God loves him, his God has the face of his abusive Mother. And because of this, he is killing himself slowly with drugs and alcohol to kill the pain of not ever being able to measure up in "THIS WORLD" because of the "word of God..." that is spouted at him with every move he makes. And this lady wonders why he wants nothing to do with her...and struggles so ...taking no responsibility for the guilt and shame he lives with daily...hourly. It makes me sick.

We all know what the "Church" does collectively to the "sheeple"...creating cultish type zombies who who can't think for themselves without "hearing" the word of God which usually comes out of someone else's mouth weekly at their interpretation. We have all been there. However, what is usually not spoken of and I see it dealing with addicts ...that these folks have such a hard time (me included) thinking for themselves that "God is love" really means "God hates your very existence...so prove to him that you are worthy of love and then he MIGHT give it to you..."

It's the standard M.O. at the core of most every single addict I work with. So if you want to create a "Christian" out of your kids, perhaps you might want to talk to me about what that really looks like outside of the Utopia of perfection you are trying to create in a child. It looks like "me" and most every addict I work with. Folks who have struggled for the last 30 and some even more with the love of God. And sit with me while I try to encourage and drag someone like the "son" I mentioned from the depths of "hell" because every time a scripture is mentioned it feels like "stones" to his soul...and suicide sounds better than continuing on living with that kind of pain.

What has been posted here is no laughing matter in reality. And so right on that the opposite is "anti Christ". I'm very passionate about speaking out on using the scriptures as a club. I see what it does to people in the privacy of their own "soul" struggling to find a reason for there existence. And most times it is "sin" focused. How can that not be abusive if you think you're O.K. but everyone else is not...including your own children.

I love the Bible. I couldn't ever grasp it though until I grasped that God is love. And there is a shit load of baggage you have to work through to get there. And you CAN get there without a Bible. God can do what God does perfectly fine without any of us speaking for him. My thing is: Take notice of what you are doing to your kids with that crap.

The new thing. A Facebook Conversation

Paul Anderson WalshJesus proclaimed the good news yet his message was rejected by the institution, not because it was good, but because it was NEW...! We much prefer the old to the new because the new invariably means - Change and worse still coming to the place where we might just have to face the fact that we were wrong!

23 hours ago · LikeUnlike.Stephanie McEntire Every time I read the passage where Jesus is in the temple and he is going to speak...and everyone is in there place...just waiting. He gets up...picks up the old dusty scroll that has been argued over...whined over...discussed until it's lifeless...and speaks out of Isaiah to a text concerning him...

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his CUSTOM. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in "YOUR HEARING.”

And then he handed the scroll back to the attendant...and sat down..he just ...sat down.

Now most would take all that and begin to once again try to "decipher" what Isaiah was saying...while the truth in fact is sitting in the midst of them...and isn't that how it goes really?

That day in the old dusty room of theology and debate...of who God is..and what he wants....has been brought down to the level of intimacy...The reason that he was "rejected" for the most part by the religious..and so many times that is "you and I"...is because we don't know how to "hand the scroll back to the attendant"...and begin looking into our own heart for the truth ...that will set US free..recover our sight...open our blind eyes...we don't know basically how to be still...and hand the scroll...back to the attendant...; )

I began to change when my line of questioning changed..
I used to say like Pilate..."What is truth?"
he got the question wrong...it's
"WHO is truth?" it is only then that you can back away from "self" long enough to see it...God is love..and in the realm of the religious debate..."he loves me...he loves me not" that just changed everything...

The reality that God is love..and he was walking among men in an earth suit...shook the very foundation of everyone...Religious and Gentile alike...and not much has changed today...

This new thing ...this new question that is sweeping through our hearts and minds...
"Do you KNOW...how much I love you?"

This NEW line of questioning brings the man/woman into the depths of their own heart...yet even still...because it is such uncharted territory even though the simplicity of it ..is just well...so simple...it's much easier to keep your hands firmly around the scroll and keep searching...for that something...that is living and walking among your heart...and rejection of it changes nothing..not one thing..the final authority is love...A new thing indeed...always new....every day..all the time..yesterday, today and forever...

Wrong...yes indeed..."SEE how have loved you..."

You see in all the things I know..that I think I know..that I might know..there is a place in my heart where "it is written"...
good news to the poor.
freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
I don't have time to be "right" anymore...
The discovery of this "new thing"...is all consuming.

We Need To Be Real 3 - Stephanie McEntire

eanut Butter Crackers by Stephanie McEntire
posted as a Facebook note in 2010
"Love is the expression of the one who loves, not of the one who is loved. Those who think they can love only the people they prefer do not love at all. Love discovers truths about individuals that others cannot see" — Søren Kierkegaard

In our clinic we have an area that we call the "Isolation Room." Patients that have HIV or are infected with Hepatitis B are put in there in order to "isolate" them away from other patients. It is a necessity of course. Having never worked in isolation in the 10 years I have been a dialysis nurse I looked at the room with dread in the new clinic I have worked in for over a year. Not dread for me, but for anyone who would ever have to be put there.

The training for working that room involves first in having enough antibodies in your own system to fight the disease. So, every couple of months your blood is drawn and tested for antibodies against the diseases that would land a patient in isolation. I have none...so, I have to be injected with antibodies in a series of shots and to this day I am trying to build up antibodies in order to be able to work the isolation room. To date, I cannot. I do not have enough antibodies. They will just keep injecting me until I do...but it is up to my body. I just took another "shot" and my blood will be drawn in 30 days. I can't wait for that 30 days. I have never wanted anything so bad in my life. I want to be able to work isolation. The other nurses think I am crazy and resent me for not having to work it. They think I should enjoy not having to work in such a place with such "people."

If you work the room you look like a Space Man in all the protective garb you have to wear. Last but not least they instill a fear in you for working with those patients in order for you to be on your guard at all times against becoming infected yourself. It's all necessary I suppose. In the clinic I worked in before we did not have "isolation" however in this clinic we do. It has been empty until a few months ago...

The room has clear glass for walls and one day "Miss V" I will call her, came in having various ailments that required her to be in isolation. She had just found out about a few weeks before and having no health care most of her life her decline into Kidney failure was swift and even though she had been sick for years it was still unexpected that her life would take such a turn. To describe her and the lifestyle reported to us isn't necessary. I think it would go without explaining. She was young and obviously very depressed. She literally lost every friend in the world save a few. She walked by all the patients and took her place in "isolation." Everyone knows when there is a patient in that room and that they are pretty sick. The room is in view of all the patients so basically you are on display. It's not on purpose..it's just that Architecturally and how the water is delivered it is necessary for the room to be where it is. Most patients are afraid of anyone that is put there. To say that a patient like that is shunned..is an understatement. The nurses also are in various states of how they feel about her..and the room. It's very obvious to anyone...it is a stressful situation for all involved.

Miss V and I haven't spoken much due to my not having antibodies. All that I can do is go up to the clear glass and put my hand on it..and look at her and mouth the words "need anything".."or how are you?" I do it often. I noticed that she usually doesn't come in with any food so a few times I have held up peanut butter crackers or something and she has shaken her head yes and smiled, something she doesn't do very often. ..and the other nurses will garb up and bring them to her...all the while complaining that I shouldn't do that. Sometimes I just turn around and go cry because why shouldn't I?

I remember being in "isolation" albeit in my own head. Staying away from everyone because I thought that I was too "diseased" to be part of folks who seem to have it all together. I still fight that disease to this day. I am glad that I have learned that God isn't afraid of me..and doesn't have to suit up to take care of me. I am glad that God has all the antibodies of unconditional love to walk right in my heart and through his son say...eat my body..drink my blood..remember this. Everything about me is for your benefit..so that you may know how much your are loved..and then picks up a towel and washes my feet..and the dust and disease of this world is of no matter to God..he brings something that transcends glass walls and protective garb of religious rules and falling short of grace that others preach will separate us. This is what I want to bring to Mrs. V in the isolation room.. Until then..the love of God will be sent in with Peanut Butter Crackers and hand on the glass....

Yesterday Miss V came in and was very ill. She got through part of her treatment and it was decided that she would need to be examined at a hospital. It took a while to find a "ride" for her. She is usually delivered to treatment by various people in her sphere. A young lady came and I told her what was going on. I hadn't seen her before. The hospital that treats our patients is in a bigger city and is around 40 miles away. The young girl did not know that it was going to be that far...but here is what she said.

"When I was little and had no one to take care of me..Miss V did. I have some make up in the car that doesn't work for me. I am going to take it back to Wal Mart and then I will have the gas to take her to the Hospital." I was so overcome with emotion I had to leave the floor and go outside. I have been a wreck every since. The love of God is amazing isn't it. In the least of these that we would throw away as unnecessary in our little worlds of comfort..God is still at work in every heart..every soul. Love makes a way when there seems to be no way...

For now...I am praying for antibodies and until I get them I will give her Peanut Butter Crackers...and a hand on the glass. If you think that what we have for healthcare right now is acceptable in our country...shame on you. I have one thing to say..."the least of these..you have done it unto me.."

Stephanie's article "Announcements"

It’s funny how an announcement can change your whole life. Announcements such as “Honey, I am pregnant” , “honey we won the lottery”, “honey, I was laid off today” or any number of such things. One sentenece can change the course of your life, path or journey in this world.
I started reading the Gospels over again as I do over and over and there is a reason for that. I have a deep hunger for the life of Jesus. He said follow me…and for years I followed every wind of doctrine and realized that I had no idea what Jesus was all about. So back in 2003 I made a commitment to only follow Jesus and announced it as such. I highly recommend it.

I had been out of organized Christianity for at least a good 7or 8 years without picking up anything that remotely said “God” or anything remotely associated with God. I was and am a reader and continued to read but I read mindless fluff like romance novels and best sellers with a few “self help” books thrown in for good measure. I became like an everyday normal person…not focused on God and the knowledge of God… actually I was trying to forget. The pain of betrayel in “Christiandom” had ruined my appetite for anything God. Of course I blamed God and the folks who caused the pain in my life. When I made the announcement to my Church that I was leaving, the looks from friends, family and foes and the looks of horror are still imprinted in my mind….but the sense of freedom that came with the announcement is forever at work in my heart. Come what may I could not take the inconsistancy of that kind of God nor could I take the fickle feelings he had for me and his creation. I could never ever call myself an Athiest or Agnostic because I couldn’t get away from the whole “Jesus” part of the deal. When as a young girl I went looking for answers I was looking for love. This Jesus guy did exhibit plenty of that and I couldn’t get around it. So I would defend Jesus and shake my fist at God. I could not reconcile the two….

In about the 7th year after my Exodus from all things God my husband and the Father of my three children made an announcement …he was leaving me for another woman. We went from pillars in organized Christianity to divorce in just a few years. It made me wonder if the naysayers were right about God and all my failure at knowing him and it kind of proved my point. I didn’t know why he continued to torture his creation with “life” tragedy and drama all the while expecting me to give one ounce of care to “know” him. I didn’t make it a practice to go down to the mental home to visit mentally ill people to find my answers …so why would I seek a God who clearly couldn’t make up his mind about wether he loved or despised his creation. If you already have low self esteem then that was the final blow to me. I think after my husbands announcement I lost my mind. Little did I know that was probably for the best.
Stephanie McEntire

So, after the divorce I went back to doing what I do best and was most succesfull at, taking drugs and getting into one drama after another. I came from an abusive home and pain made you feel and so I picked the worst boyfriend I could find and took drugs to kill the pain. It had a great pay off…It was a life I was familiar with and I stepped right back into the “victim” role. I lost a lot during those days…and it all came to a head one evening when the boyfriend and I were coming off some serious drugs and withdrawel is a bitch…I had lost custody of my kids and they were only seeing me every other weekend and didn’t really want to but my loyal little baby girl continued to tread the treacherous waters cause she loved her Mother and that paticular evening she was there when all of this horror was going down. The abusive boyfriend who normally only took out things on me…turned on her….and I was numb to do anything about it and I went into the kitchen and took a pill…and if I had had more…it would have been over for me that night.

After the boyfriend locked himself up in a room I went looking for my daughter. I found her on the bathroom floor sobbing and screaming out to God….”why are you doing this to me?” I fell to my knees and realized something….God wasn’t doing this to that dear child….her Mother was. It was at that moment that I knew that my whole life was an announcement to the world of my victimization at the exspense of all who loved me. I had been so selfishly happy being the victim…that it had even transcended into a decision to see myself as such victim…at the hands of God. I packed my daughter up and sent her to her Fathers. I also packed a bag and called my brother and announced “I was going to rehab” yet another life changing announcement. I packed in haste because I was fleeing but I did manage somehow to throw in a Bible.

I found myself in rehab with no one except “me.” It was not a “christian” rehab (one of my stipulations and announcements…another good choice.) After about two weeks of withdrawels they sent me back to my room with a book called “The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.” It’s a book I think every recovering “Christian” would benefit from. Just insert “religion” to every reference to drugs or alcohol…believe me…your eyes will be opened to the addictive power of religion. In the “Big Book” (slang for the book) they explain the disease of addiction and I loved that part. You see if I had a disease I was still the “victim.” This was right up my alley…until I got to about chapter 4 or 5 when there is an announcement…one that changed my life ….it’s the hardest thing for a victim to say….”YOUR TROUBLES ARE OF YOUR OWN MAKING.” I threw the book across the room…it split in half like the red sea…and I immediately wanted to leave the rehab..I didn’t want to go to that place…

Go to that place I did though. I had no where else to go. In the next few days after marinating in that statement I sought out one of the most influencial people in my life to this day at that rehab. He gave me an announcement…and asked me to do something I had never thought of…start over. Who would have thought it could be so easy. He asked me to think about forgiving myself…what heresy…forgiveness was only handed out by God…and he didn’t hand it out very generously..(or so I thought.) I didn’t want to go there either because my view of God was “bait and switch”..you know the old commercial God that hung is Son on a cross for my sins because he loved me…and needed atonement for my “sickness” and then expected me to act like him from that day forward. It was an impossibility back in the day…and one at that moment as far as I was concerned. I wanted nothing to do with it. So my friend gave me another “announcement”…”Why don’t you start over there too?” No one had ever told me that I could start over with God. He handed me something called a “set aside prayer.” That little tiny piece of paper was a launching pad for me. It went something like…”God…I set aside all I know…all I believe… all I think I know…and admit that I really don’t know anything at all.” I took that prayer back to my room and literally emptied myself of all knowledge. I killed my FrankenGod….you know the one built out of all the winds of doctrine…all the generational hand me downs…the guy on T.V….etc etc…I just literally emptied myself and made an announcement that I “forgive” myself even though I am not really sure what that means but I hope it looks something like a “clean slate” or an exspance of time that I can change in. I asked him if he would help with that….but if he came at me with one ounce of shame…I was out of the relationship. I had enough of that without his. It really was an awesome day. I went back to my first love…which was “love”…and begin to dance with the one who “brung” me all those years ago.

About a week after that while going through my suitcase I found the Bible that I brought. The words “follow me” just kept going over and over in my mind. So, I started in Luke wanting absolutely nothing to do with any commandments or heavy duty shame…and began at the beginning of the life of this man I was suppose to follow. We all know about the Birth of Jesus having seen the play a million times…but there was something that stuck out to me…an announcement by a group of heavenly beings to a bunch of shepherds in a field …..”Good tidings, a Saviour was coming.” Something was about to change and change was what I needed so I began to see that announcement as “mine.” It was a like a “peace offering” or an olive branch straight from God himself or at least that is how I felt. It was as if I was being asked to really think about Jesus being the “Prince of Peace” for my heart. I had to have “peace” in my heart about this process of “knowing” him as I had heard that he had asked ...he did ask for us to “follow him”….so I decided to do so by reading only the Gospels for the last 10 years or so…highly recommend…I found that God was trying to say something to me through this man…he was trying to show me what he was like and what his space is like which is outside of this time and space. It was “green pastures” and a place for restoration…not so much to reconcile me to some form of “sinless” life because of poor pitiful me…but reconciliation of the two of us…and Jesus was going to show me what that looked like. I was invited to a wedding feast….a huge banquet of restoration…of which I don’t think I have moved from the table since the invitation…so why I have said all this? I say it because I need to…it is my announcement..to myself every single day…He loves me. He doesn’t love my knowledge of him or keep his eyes on all my shortcomings…He loves ME. It is so easy to forget that in our search for knowledge and as I follow him I find that learning of him is all about his love for me..no strings. NO STRINGS. No bait and switch and no getting away from it. So if I could announce on a loudspeaker to the world one thing…it would be that there is no getting away from that love and my life is an opportunity to show my neighbor this wonderful thing. Shit will happen in this cause and effect world but love will remain..period. If I walked by “sight” in this cause and effect world as I used to…I probably would have been dead a long time ago. I walk by Faith in this love now…and it opens up a new vision…and new eyes and there are no fences around this God whom Jesus was showing me. I love the way it's put in Song of Solomon, …his announcement to me…”His banner over me is love. “ Nuff said for me. It's just that simple. What does his banner over you say? . See you next week!

Digging Deep with Mr P. by Stephanie McEntire

Reproduced from Facebook.

Digging Deep with Mr P.
"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? . . ." Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:11-1

The reason this scripture means so much to me today is because I was thinking of one of my patients Mr. P. He came into the clinic about 4 months ago straight from the hospital and still in his hospital gown. Never have I seen such visible misery on a face. His son and twin daughters brought there "rock' of a Dad in frail and near death. The Son was silent and confused having never seen his strong Father this way..and the daughters were doting and terrified. Mr. P was angry and he is a "facts" man. Dealing with him is like being at a constant inquisition..he forgets nothing you say..has a photographic memory of "procedure" and if you vary from it in any way...you will be called on the carpet. This isn't my first rodeo with "independents" who have lost all control of their life and three days a week put themselves in the hands of strangers ...who stick railroad spike size needles in their arm...while they watch their "life blood" be taken from them..while strapped to a chair for 4 hours. If the constant inquisition gives him a sense of peace and control..love tells me to turn the other cheek..so week after week I pulled up a chair for the inquisition. I knew eventually he would feel better and get quality of life back...patience was in order. We call them "patients" but really..we should be called that..bwahahaha.

Anyway..it's been months now and he is driving again..still suspicious and not sure he wants to continue this way..but my rotation keeps me in contact with him for at least one week out of the month..however I have been able to talk with every day and I do. I know love conquers all...I have a 100% success rate with that...

I am trained in a procedure called "button hole" which means that we stick the two needles in the same spot over and over until a tunnel into the blood stream is made. He was a perfect
candidate for that...due to his frailty it would cut down on infections. We approached him with this idea not thinking he would agree to it due to his mistrust of everything about this process...he states he is only staying alive for his kids who would be devastated if he did not try..he isn't a quitter. He agreed only if "I" would be the one to do the procedure. It takes 8 weeks to develop..I was ecstatic and honored that he asked for me. So..we are on week three of this and I still have the inquisition..but now we are getting down to "knowing" each other. Keep in mind that we are making a "tunnel" into the blood stream...we are basically digging a well....and guess what Mr. P was all his life...a well digger.

He tells me he started out with a shovel back in the day (he is in his 80's.) He worked hard and bought equipment as it became available and he could afford it. He built a huge business and was the major "digger" for all the rural areas in many counties. He has dug wells for many of the other patients in the clinic and they know him.
He has taught me a lot about what it takes to dig deep...to get to the water. In turn..I have used Jesus love of Parables to "dig deep" into Mr. P..to find that living water that he understands better than even I do...I have seen him changing.. coming back alive..in a sense greater than just existing..He gave the world water..and I get to return the favor by drawing out of my own well and giving him a drink...he likes that analogy. So do I.

So ..as I dig a tunnel into his "lifeblood" in more ways than one..he teaches me about perseverance or should I say we both teach each other...about the well that never runs dry..and that we will never thirst again...He went to the Casinos in Lousianna this weekend...and had a blast..the spring is flowing and he is living again..I am honored to watch my Jesus who dug that well for us a long time ago...begin to heal this man in ways my profession can never touch...and this scripture means more to me because of him...than just words on paper..It's a beautiful thing...isn't it?

The Skin of the Beast Part Three of the Curse,It's Purpose, and Overthrow by Daniel Yordy

One of the most exciting things about being on the receiving end of worldwide input through Facebook and blogs, is to see the Body of Christ putting jigsaw pieces together. Comments from Stephanie Macentire for example who is not at present in any church, but like many of the others in the Free Believers Network on Facebook, is a hunter for the truth about who we really are in Christ,- right through Brad Jersak really questioning this "angry God thing" and "appeasement" image that has wound itself through church history.

Or even Darin Hufford or Paul Andersen Walsh , both of whose books I have yet to read....
Together with the collections and inspirational light coming through Merrill Thompson and Nancy Gilmore, and the odd bit from Brian Coatney. Then there is the fresh light on grace and freedom coming through other hunters like Rob and Ryan Rufus, Bertie Brits, Joseph Prince.
Gems coming through from Francois Du Toit.....in fact so many. Then the light experienced together here in Havant Church, both in Word and worship. I have loved what I have been reading through Daniel Yordy, and through his site I have come to know John and Bonnie Morris too.
We are putting together a jigsaw , largely unravelled by Paul in the New Testament, yet on a bigger unparalleled scale, hidden until precisely these times. The Best and the Worst of times.

With each major advance of light, comes unprecedented attacks and advance in the compexity of the devil's plans to delude, confuse, destroy and cause misery. He has and always will thrive on misery. He gets off on it. He and his cohorts regard it as fuel, as food.

Evangelists went worldwide. Their new discoveries of place and peoples were used for the purposes of slavery and tyranny. Christ always gets the rap, as do his genuine servants.
This was so in Ghana. It was so in the case of Hudson Taylor having to use the same boats that opium traffickers used into China. To this day Christianity gets the rap there!
While the Moravians and subsequently the Wesleys were sharing the gospel of knowing a personal Saviour, the rest of the world were bathing in the blood of Revolution.
When the Pentecostal light broke out in 1904 and 5, the spread of this supernatural Christianity was heavily opposed by Satan using two world Wars, the rise of Communist and Fascist dictators, and in the aftermath of these uprisings and mass exterminations, a dreadful pall of atheism attempting to suck all belief into itself.
In the wake of this, and the French existentialist and nihilist philosophies, which caused many students to simply toss themselves off buildings in the 60s, God spoke again into the nothingness and reawakened many in the deadest regions of denominational Christianity.
This affected a whole generation of us around 1970.
Around 1975 in Paderborn West Germany, God began a whole move centered around a Catholic Theological College there under a Professor Dr Heribert Muehlen. How do I know? Because (it was God again I believe) who arranged for me to practice German in precisely this town in the immediate aftermath.

All you sceptical so called free believers!!! Have you as males ever skipped and danced and laughed hand in hand with an older nun down a German high street late at night!!! Schnaps??? Nope. Just praise.
Just an overwhelming love for Jesus as experienced in that moment after being in a meeting! Gertraude had been a nun for years, without really knowing Jesus. This is what took place in Paderborn. I was 18 or 19.

Two weeks ago on BBC Horizon they were doing a programme about how in the next 20 years scientific advances were going to mean "additional enhancements" were going to be added to our brains and the rest of our bodies, to accelerate our thinking, to make us live longer, to make us superior. This is but one step from "implants" or a "sign of the beast" in our hands and foreheads. The machinery of warfare and control will take on chilling proportions. We will need to know the Secret Place of the Most High in Psalm 91 as reality. Technological good can so easily be turned to technological bad, by an enemy who wants to try to snuff out the coming Light in the Body of Christ: the Light of Christ living His life as me.

Here is Daniel Yordy's last instalment of the Curse, It's Purpose and Overthrow. It is an astonishing Instalment in the way that it ties up many loose ends that have come up on the rest of this blog.

The Curse, It's Purpose, and Overthrow (Part 3)

From: Daniel Yordy http://www.dyordy.com/
Genesis 3:21 "Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them."
The final part of the curse is the worst part and the best part - and the most important.
Adam could not escape God. The certain knowledge of God filled his consciousness. He tried, desperately, to hide. He covered himself with fig leaves; he hid behind tree trunks - both typifying all the many ways his descendants have developed to try, somehow, to hide from the reality of God.
None of it worked for Adam. Nothing shielded him in his sin and shame from the light of a pure and holy God. To have lived his entire life in that light, his sinfulness and shamefulness, his attempting to persevere in the presence of holiness, would have been a lake of fire for Adam; that is the lake of fire - God, without any protection from Him.
God, of course, did not condemn Adam. Adam condemned Adam - that is the nature of independent self.
But God had a different plan for Adam and for his descendants.

It was not His plan for them to live in the lake of fire - even those who have died without Christ are not presently in the lake of fire, no matter what the fertile imagination of Christians has concocted.
No, God's purpose was first to redeem Adam's seed, and then to form Christ within those whom He elected as a firstfruits out of Adam's seed.
But that could not happen, so long as Adam was unshielded from God. Independent self, striving to exist in the full light of God, is hell.
The skin of the beast is the mercy and kindness of God.
The skin of the beast allows Adam and his seed to live long enough for Christ to come, first as our Redeemer, and then as our Life.
And so God took the skin of an animal, and He wrapped Adam and Eve in that skin.
It is easy for you to know that you are encased in the skin of a beast. Look around the room in which you are sitting right now. You are completely surrounded by all the Shekinah glory and power of Almighty God. There is no place in heaven more holy and more filled with God's glory than the room you are looking at right now. How do you keep your head up? How do you go about your business without falling flat on your face in terror?
Very simple - you are blind. You can't see the obvious. But even a blind man can sense when someone else is in the room. You can't. And the reason you can't see the obvious or even sense the presence of other persons in the room all around you, both holy and evil, is that you are more than blind, you are clothed with a beast skin.
[The beast skin is what makes the people of this world so beastly. The poet, Alexander Pope, said, "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread." He was speaking of man's capacity to sin filthily and arrogantly in the very presence of Almighty God.]
James says that demons always tremble in fear, unable to separate themselves from God's presence. We know that the only way they can hide from that Light is to encase themselves in human flesh. That is the first part of the curse. [Demons hide from God behind any human mind that sees itself separate from God, that is, human flesh. When we see God in all things, inside and out, they have nowhere to hide and they flee.]
That beast skin is God's kindness to you.
You are not ready for His light, not until Christ is fully formed inside of you. Nor is He ready for you, not until you have abandoned all thought of independent selfhood.
Jesus was the last Adam; Adam ended upon the cross. The old man is dead. I am already crucified. Why, then, does the beast skin continue as part of my experience?
Romans 8:18-21 "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility (the skin of the beast), not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."
Believing that Christ is our life does not come overnight.

Even when God reveals to us that He did not lie when He says that we are already dead; even when He shows us that we are NOT an independent self, struggling to somehow please Him, but that Christ is the only life we have; even when He reveals to us that He did not lie when He said that old things are passed away, and that all things are made brand new; even then, it takes days and months, and even years, for the full knowledge of Christ living in us as us to permeate every part of our thinking.
We revert back to the old way of thinking so easily. Seeing ourselves separate from Jesus, now having to line up with a God who is surely displeased with us. We wake up in the middle of the night, feeling awful, feeling certain that God has departed from us. Over and over, we have to stop in our tracks, stop all such thinking, in spite of what we feel, and think that Christ is living as me right now, that He is my life; He is one with me even as I feel so bad right now.
And every time we do that, Jesus draws us a little closer to Himself in our knowledge of Him.
So long as I saw myself as someone separate from Jesus, I could not know Him, no matter how much I wanted to. The only way to know Jesus is to see yourself utterly inside of Him. Then you will know the sweet communion of His person.
Most believers in Jesus are not ready for the skin of the beast to be removed from off of them.
This word, the "revealing" of the sons of God, is the Greek word "apocalupsis." It means to take the cover off. The cover that conceals Christ in us is the skin of the beast. That cover is coming off.
What will be found inside? An independent self, desperately trying to please the implacable requirements of a holy God? Or will there be one who, with joy, has abandoned all sense of the independence of self, but who knows that Christ is his life, he has no other life?
But, of course, the passage from Romans 8 is talking about so much more than that. We know that out of our belly flows the mighty river of the life of God.
XXXXX
I wrote the first part of this a week ago. Last night, the Lord showed me the real reason for the continued presence of the skin of the beast, of this earthly blinder that keeps us from seeing and knowing all that God is and all that we are in Him.
I just finished a romance novel by Georgette Heyer. Let me briefly give you the story line.
A wealthy man of 35, kind, well-loved by family and friends, was being pressured to marry. He had once before been in love with a vivacious girl, but she had died in an accident before they were married.
The man chose to ask a friend of his, aged 29, a plain and simple girl who had been passed up by all eligible suitors, to be his wife. Her family was convinced that the only possible choice she could make was to accept.
With full respect, she refused him. She did not say why.
Meanwhile, he became involved in the life of a beautiful young runaway, who was trying to persuade her grandfather to let her marry an officer in Wellington's army when she was just 16. He was attempting to restore her to her family. In the process, he was accidentally shot.
In desperation, the lady who had declined his marriage offer was asked to come nurse him. She went secretly and spent several days caring for him. Finally, they were found by all who were concerned about "propriety." Her family demanded that the wounded man marry their sister to preserve her honor.
He refused.
When they had left, the two were sitting side by side, alone in a garden. They were finally comfortable together, having gotten to know one another in the midst of difficulty. Picture the most beautiful, romantic, garden scene possible. He told her that he could not marry her for obligation, but only for love. She told him that she had refused him because, though she knew they were friends, she also knew that intimate love would not have been the beginning of their marriage.
But now, they truly knew one another as friends and they both knew that they loved one another.
I finished the book and went to bed. As my thoughts turned towards Jesus, I instantly knew the purpose for God allowing the skin of the beast to remain upon us in spite of the cross and resurrection of Jesus. God speaks to us through story.
This relationship we have with Jesus is about marriage. He is betrothed to us and we to Him. That is what our union with Christ is all about.
But Jesus will not marry a woman who honors and respects Him, who is grateful to Him for His great kindness. Nor even more will He marry a woman who fears Him and who does what He says because she believes she is under obligation to do so. Nor will He marry a woman who chooses Him because of His great power and wealth and how honored He is before all creation.
Jesus wants to marry a woman who sits by His side on a "garden bench," who is equal to Him in heart and mind, who walks through the difficult places together with Him, leaning upon His shoulder, who knows that her union with Him is because she loves Him and He loves her. Jesus will marry only a woman who knows Him in the deepest and most intimate of friendships. Jesus will marry only a woman who knows that He has conformed Himself to her, that He loves what she loves, enjoys what she enjoys.
Listen, it is not up to the woman to conform herself to the man; it is up to the man to conform Himself to His beloved. This was the sacrifice that Jesus embraced in Gethsemane - for the joy set before Him - you and me. So long as I think that I must change to please Him, my heart is not comfortable side by side with His.
So long as you and I see ourselves as beneath Him in any way, we cannot love Him with the love that He alone will marry.
Jesus says the most extraordinary thing in Revelation chapter 3. He says, "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man opens the door, I will come in to him and I will sup with him, and he with Me." (ACW see also http://080808onnowto.blogspot.com/2009/02/revelation-320-prophecy-and-glory-cloud.html)
Jesus was not talking about those who did not know Him; He was talking about you and me. First we open the door to Him. Will you let Him be your sin and your shame? Will you let Him be your flesh? If Jesus could take your sin upon the cross 2000 years ago, why can He not take your self upon Himself now? Or, do we really believe that something happened 2000 years ago when we cannot believe that He swallows up our sinful flesh and all of our foolish mistakes today?
Then, it is He who comes in to us and it is He who sups with us. There are few statements more precious in the entire Bible. To sup with us is to share an intimacy of closeness with every part of our being. It is Jesus who conforms Himself to us.
And finally, we sup with Him. It is only when we surrender our heart to His love for us will we be able to return the love that alone is acceptable to Him.
Obligation and duty will always keep Jesus at arm's length, and it will keep us encased in the skin of the beast. He cannot marry a woman who is obliged to marry Him.
Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb (the absolute foundation of our return to the Father) and by the word of their testimony (we speak Christ and all that He is in us) and they loved not their lives to the death (we forsake any thought that we exist independently from Jesus Himself, knowing that all that we are is no more nor less than Jesus Himself)."
Jesus insists that His bride come to Him while she is still blind. He will marry a woman who considers herself His equal, equal in heart, in mind, in soul and who loves Him, not for His greatness of position, or for the mercy He has shown her, but who loves Him in an intimacy of equality - who "sees" Him by faith as the One who fills her heart.
And it is out of that intimacy of union, we in Him, and He in us, that the manchild of Revelation 12:5 is born.
Faith is that which walks in the reality of all that is unseen, now, while it is still unseen.
Faith makes everything God speaks in the New Covenant personal, right now.
God put the skin of the beast upon us. It is God who will remove it. And He will do so when we "see" all that He is in us. When God removes that skin that still limits us in this world, many will be astonished and amazed at what they see. But for those of us who "see" Him now in all things, both inside of us and outside of us, we will see nothing different at all. There will be no shock or surprise.
When we see in reality, we will see the same thing that we now see by faith. There will be no difference.
This "seeing" is a miracle of the Holy Spirit; and He overshadows you right now for that purpose.
