"We still have a solo pastor, what should we do to manouvre towards the Jerusalem model?"
1. Jerusalem Church is not a human model.
2. Jacob's sons and the 12 elder apostles are still before the Throne praying for a break out of the same thing all over the earth.
3. Those stories have strong similarities and both were horrendous in the natural.
4. However the OT version was, which extended over time into tribal elders then Gate of Miphkad, the Jesus version was within the realm of the full New Covenant which couldn't even be rolled out properly in Jesus own ministry.
5. New Covenant demands a Holy Spirit new and living way working of Jeremiah 31 and Ezekiel 36. It's a "skinning alive " process of detaching us from the Genesis 3 lie not only in our spirit man which happens on Day 1, but of our 6000year trained cultural soul, as Hebrews 4.12 describes. Jesus called it taking up our cross.
6.Legacy church, evangelical church and charismatic church are all wrong because they speak from out of the Genesis 3 lie and pray to die. They do this because their daiy experience is still from within the independent self. They are still convinced they are soul powered beings.
7. Through preprepared teachers and ministries like Watchman Nee who describes the ps.42 Deep unto deep process, we can speak straight from our spirit to awaken other's spirits to the reality of what Jesus already accomplished. Others learn this in their leftbrain, speak from their leftbrain and are disappointed when the words drip to the floor without ever penetrating the people.
8. Humanly preaching is called folly and in many ways, to the carnal understanding , it appears that humans are not being addressed. The perceived folly is that God's Kingdom is addressed spirit to spirit and initially the only change is picked up within pure hearts that are ready as a burning on the inside. This happened on the way to Emmaus as Jesus related scriptures and now the disciples understood that these had been fulfilled. And it happened to John Wesley who used the phrase "strangely warmed".
9. We are at point 9 and the initial question hasn't been addressed. If the original question had been what colour scheme should I paint my child's bedroom, there would first be 8 points detailing getting married....yes....then making love properly, then 9 months labour, perhaps nowadays with a baby scan.....then all the things women have to endure in later labour....then the birth. 10. So that's really the point. Our current churches barely have one super advanced leader so they usually get slope shouldered to , as what we call a pastor but we mean king, who runs everything. 11. 1 John 1 gives us some key phrases how the 12 in Jerusalem ministered, and they ministered out of a testimony....but the depth of the testimony is way way beyond anything we usually associate with that word. We mean....I used to be a smoker, on drugs, go to prostitutes,be a wife beater, gambler...... No their testimony was I denied the God of heaven in human form , who had given 42 months of His life to teach and train us, all the way to judgment and death on a Cross. Peter for one never got over that and insisted on being crucified upside down. 12. So no, we don't glide into being a thirdlevel church. Presbyterians, Quakers and Brethren have formed similar co ministering set ups, but that's not the point. 13. The point is the now thirdlevel leadership are performing together a kind of combination of Levites carrying the Ark with poles and Moses on the hillside with arms raised. 14. They are literally carrying things in the Spirit. 15. A company CEO carries his company. A successful one may appear outwardly as a very ordinary human , but on the insides he is managing all of his company which is beset by all sorts of business problems daily. 16. Paul referred to being KINGS so the other apostles could rule with the Corinthians in their area. 17. Revelation 12.1 refers to a Crown of 12 stars which is a picture to us of many facets of rule needed for Christ's ecclesia to thrive and grow even on a planet with principalities and powers pressing hard to lie, steal and kill. Within a few weeks James the socalled administrative head was killed. 18. So no we are led by the Holy Spirit who is birthing Jesus Christ Himself in the whole of our souls . Galatians 2.20. 19. We don't rush into anything. Unless the Lord build the House those who labour labour in vain. 20. There is no one pastor who is king over a church in the Bible. In the Old Testament it was not God or Samuel's idea that Israel needed a King. It spelled only long term disaster. 21. What of England? After Don Francisco summed up South Chard church in the Sunday massacre of the pulpit song, South Chard were lured back again to one pastor in the last 20 years. It was a disaster....perhaps because in recent years their mission was to be a Flagship for Britain. They have now reverted to co eldership. 22. Storrington West Sussex had such a traumatic time with a pastor they only now have elders of very different ministry gifts. 23. Peniel at Brentwood Essex, - kind of a sister church to our own one in Emasworth , receiving ministry from Argentina Intercessor R. Edward Miller.....they too had to remove their pastor in 2009 and my guess is, being all mature by now themselves 40 years on , they probably function as a co eldership. 24. The sort of onslaught from the kingdom of Darkness only increases in ferociousness the nearer to a Jerusalem church we get. But as Acts 4 shows with a very earthquake, our authority together in Christ as we fix our faces becomes so much greater too. Does that answer anything , or are you still more confused ?
