FACE SATAN,

KNOWING THAT THE

LIVING WORD IS IN YOU.

The same power is in you that spoke the sun,moon and stars into

existence. The same prover is in you that made the dry land, forests,

mountains, rivers, and oceans come into being. The same power is in

you that created all of the animals, birds,fish and all other forms of

life. The same power is in you that created man from the dust of the

earth and breathed life into him. This power is in you.

The Word, which was with God in the beginning, which was and is God, and which created all things, lives within you. The Logos , the living Word, became flesh. Jesus humbled Himself, stripped Himself of His former glory, came to earth, took upon Himself the form of human flesh, and lived among the people whom He created. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not (John 1:10).

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). God sent His Son—the living Word—to earth for a purpose.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth.- it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

God's purpose for sending Jesus to earth was to destroy the works of the devil. His objective was to reveal His glory—all that He has and is—through the Logos. God spoke through Isaiah: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it (Isaiah 40:5). 

The majority of Christians today are not walking in the revelation,  that the very life of the       Almighty Son of God is living in them. They say that they believe that Jesus is in them, but their actions prove otherwise.   

God wanted mankind to know Him and love Him. He wanted to reveal to people His plan for salvation and deliverance from Satan's bondage. He wanted them to be set free from sickness and disease. He wanted them to be restored to fellowship with Him and to receive eternal life. The glory of God was revealed through Jesus. He was the express image of God.
The life of God, the Father, flowed through Him. It healed the sick, forgave sins, cast out demons, and brought a visible manifestation of God to the world. God's purpose for sending the living Word to the earth was to set us free from sin, save our souls from eternal damnation, and bring us into a new position, whereby we would possess the same power and glory that Christ possessed, be changed into Christ's image, and work the same works that Christ worked.
God's purpose for sending the living Word was to bring many sons into glory. (See Hebrews 2:9-10.)
In Chapter One, we talked about how Jesus confronted Satan and destroyed his strongholds by speaking the Word. We talked about how the lame walked, the blind saw, the deaf heard, and the dead were raised. God has planned for you to do the same works as these.
In Chapter Two, you learned about the power that is in the Word of God. Before you can come into an experience of being able to speak the Word with power, you must live and walk in the revelation that the living Word is in you.

JESUS FACED SATAN, KNOWING
THAT THE FATHER DWELT WITHIN HIM.
In a previous lesson, you learned that one of Jesus' strategies was that He faced Satan from a position of knowing that He was the Son of God. Jesus lived with the knowledge that the Father dwelt in
Him. He said: I and my Father are one (John 10:30) and ... the Father is in me, and I in him (John 10:38).
Jesus knew that the works that He did were the result of the Father dwelling in Him. He knew that the Father was not far removed from Him, but that He was living in Him and working I---- Nvorks through Him.

They say that they believe that Jesus is in them, but their actions prove otherwise. They are not manifesting the same power and doing the same works that Jesus did while He was on earth. They are not speaking the Word with authority: They are not manifesting His love, peace, joy, and patience.

In your own life, what happens the moment that you are attacked by the enemy? What do you do when you are suddenly faced with problems that seem to crush in on you and weigh you down, until there doesn't seem to be any possible way out? How do you react? Do you panic, worry, complain, or feel sorry for yourself? Do you become depressed and discouraged? Does it seem to you that God is far removed from you and your circumstances?

When Satan attacks, do you face him, knowing that the living Word is in you and that you are invincible? Do you face him with the confidence that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper and that regardless of the trial you may be going through, you will not be defeated?

THE LIVING WORD BECAME FLESH.

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Holy Spirit came upon a virgin, named Mary, and implanted within her womb the incorruptible seed of Jesus Christ. God sent an angel with the Rhema, a spoken Word from God, to Mary:

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary.- for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thewomb and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest. and the Lorrd God shall give unto him the throne of his father David--And he shall reign over the house of Jacob ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Luke 1:30-33

The words that the angel spoke to Mary were far beyond her comprehension. Through this angel, God told her that she was going to conceive and give birth to the promised Messiah, the Son of God. Mary was confused and afraid. She asked the angel how this could come to pass because she was a virgin, and it is impossible for a virgin to conceive. The angel told her that it would be born of the Holy Ghost. He told her: For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfilment

(Luke 1:37, AMP).

The angel brought Mary a Word from God. With that spoken Word there also came the faith to fulfill it. It did not depend upon any faith that Mary could somehow develop. It did not depend upon faith that Mary could somehow demonstrate. The faith and power to bring the Word to pass were already contained in the the spoken Word of God.

God was not depending upon whether or not Mary was able to demonstrate the faith for this miracle. God's Word was not vulnerable, depending on Mary to fulfill itself. God was looking for a willing and yielded vessel.

Mary did not wonder if she had enough faith to believe the promise. She simply yielded herself to God and said to the angel: ... Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it unto me according to thy word ... (Luke 1:38). Mary received the Word, the promise from God, and the incorruptible seed of Jesus Christ was implanted in her womb.

The seed grew within her until the appointed time for her to give birth. Jesus became flesh. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of tbe only begotten of Father,) .full o 'grace and truth ( John 1:14).

THE INCORRUPTIBLE SEED, JESUS CHRIST,
HAS BEEN CONCEIVED WITHIN YOU.

Jesus, the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb. The very life of Jesus Christ was conceived in you the moment you confessed your sins and surrendered your life to

Grod.1he incorruptible seed, at that moment, was implanted within your spirit.

Say out loud: The living Word is alive in me!

What was God's purpose for sending Jesus, the living Word, to this earth? God sent Jesus to destroy the works of the devil, to manifest His glory to the world, and to bring many sons and daughters into glory.

God has planned and purposed to bring many sons into glory, to bring you into a relationship of a true child of His, whereby the glory of Christ, Who dwells within you, will be reflected in an outward expression to the world.

God has sent the living Word to dwell within you so that you will be able to take authority over the works of the devil and manifest Christ's glory (all that He has and is) to the world. When you were born again, your selfish, carnal nature
 died, and a new life was birthed within you. Your old nature was not reborn. The incorruptible seed of Jesus Christ was born within you.

Jesus grew and developed within Mary's body, and God intends for Jesus, the living Word, to grow and develop within you until He is fully formed within you. Paul told the believers in the Galatian church that he was in travail, as a woman giving birth, for them until Christ was completely and permanently formed within them.Little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you ... (Galatians 4:19).

God has planned for you to be changed by being conformed to the image of His Son. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren (Romans 8:29).

God has planned and purposed to bring many sons into glory, to bring you into a relationship of a true child of His, whereby the glory of Christ, Who dwells within you, will be reflected in an outward expression to the world.

The living Word, Jesus Christ, was conceived in Mary's womb, became flesh, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father. The living Word has been made alive within you. When His life grows and develops, and He is fully formed within you, then the world will see His glory (all that He has and is) manifested through you.

When people look at you, they are going to be able to see Jesus. They will be able to see His glory radiating through you. 'They will see you doing the same works that He did while He was upon the earth. They will be able to see you taking authority over all the power of the enemy.

Before this great truth can become a reality in your life, you must come to the point in your experience that you can say, like Paul: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me ... (Galatians 2:20). You must come to the realization that you are dead, and Jesus is living His life through you.

It is Jesus, the living Word within you, Who will minister healing and deliverance through you to those around you.
It is Jesus, the living Word within you, Who will destroy Satan's strongholds through you.
It is Jesus, the living Word within you, Who will speak through you.

Our body is only a vessel, an earthly habitation where Christ dwells. The Word (the living Word) has become flesh and is dwelling within us. But we have this treasure e in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us (II Corinthians 4:7). Christ, the living Word, is in us. He is ... the hope ofglory: (Colossians 1:27). God sent Him to dwell within us so that we will manifest His glory to the world.

THE LIVING WORD IS ALIVE WITHIN YOU.

Because the living Word is alive within you, you can face every trial, every problem, and every situation without fear, worry, or anxiety. You can face Satan with the full assurance of victory, as Jesus did when He was on earth.

Jesus was able to face every obstacle, crisis, and temptation without fear, in full command of each situation. He knew that He was the Son of God, that God was within Him, and that God would

make Him victorious over Satan.Jesus' strength came from knowing, that he  was one with His Father that the Father was in Him, and that He was in the Father.

.Jesus lived His life on earth by the Father, Who had sent Him. He said: And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me d1one;jor I do always those things that please him ( John 8:29).

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the (His) works (His own miracles, deeds of power).

Do you see what a tremendous position of strength this was for Jesus? Knowing that the Father lived continually in Him and performed His miracles through Him, He did not hesitate to move into action. When He recognized the power of the enemy, He immediately responded.

When Jesus faced the legions of demons who were possessing the body, mind, and spirit of the man of Gadara, He was able to speak the Word and command them to go, knowing that Almighty God was in Him and was doing the work through Him.

Jesus faced the power of death, knowing that Almighty God was in Him. It was He Who had spoken the world into existence, and He would do the work and raise Him from the dead. Do you see what a tremendous position of strength that this is for you, too? Your strength to confront Satan and take authority over him comes from knowing that you are one with Christ, that He lives within,you, and that He is working His works through you.

YOU WILL SEE.
YOU WILL LIVE.
YOU WILL KNOW!

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He prepared His disciples to face the power of the enemy. He had revealed God's will to them. He had spoken the words that the Father had instructed  Him to speak.

He had given them power and authority over Satan and had sent them out two by two to heal the sick, cast out devils, and raise the dead. (See Mark 3:14-15 and 6:7.)

Now that Ile was going back to the Father, He was preparing them to be able to face the onslaught of the enemy. Jesus said: Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you (John 14:19 -20).
Do you see what a tremendous position of strength this was for Jesus? Knowing that the Father lived continually in Him and performed His miracles through Him

Jesus made three promises in these verses. He said they would see Him, they would live, and they would know that He was in the Father, that they were in Him, and that He was in them. Circle the words at that day in the above scripture. What day was He referring to? Was He referring to the time of the Rapture, when they would be translated into heaven? No!

In these verses, Jesus was talking about at that day after His resurrection; at that day, after He had defeated Satan; at that day, after He had triumphed over death; at that day, after He had stripped Satan of his power; and at that day, when He had ascended into heaven. They would see Him. They would live. They would know that He was in them.

GOD HAS PLANNED FOR YOU TO
ENTER A SPIRITUAL UNION WITH HIM.

These promises belong to you. Jesus has promised you that you will see Him. You will live in and through Him. You will know. You will walk in these revelations. How is it possible to see Jesus now?

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will lnan li,St myself him.

John 14:21

Jesus has promised to reveal Himself clearly to those who know His words and keep them. He is going to reveal Himself to those who hear His Word and who walk in obedience to His Word. He is going to manifest Himself to those who practice what , they

preach. ... If a man love me, be will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him ( John 14:23).

Because God has made YOU. one of His children, you are now ;able to live your life through Christ, who dwells in you. Because the Father dwells in Christ, He also dwells in you! For in him dwelleth all the fulness of tbe Godhead bodily.and.yee, are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power , (Colossians 2:9-10).

It is this spiritual union—God, the Father, dwelling in Christ, and Christ, the living Word, dwe1ling in you—that enables you to live in the express image of Christ on this earth through this spiritual union with Him, you are a partaker of His divine nature. In Christ dwells all of the fullness of the Godhcad.Therefore, since Christ dwells in you, the Godhead—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—dwells in you.

Through this spiritual union, Christ's life will be able to grow within you until all that the world will see when they look at you is Jesus. In Jesus' great, intercessory prayer for the Church, He revealed a special ingredient that He gave to us to make this spiritual union possible.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (John 17:22). The glory that Jesus had from the beginning has been given to us, so that we may be one with the Godhead and one with each other.

It has come to my attention that many think
I am crazy, living in a fantasy where I think Jesus is not only alive and risen, but has taken up residence inside me.
Let me correct this rumor.
I do not think Jesus is risen and alive and taken up residence in me where the two of us have become one, I know it.
How can I make so bold a statement? the same way you know you're hungry. Hurt... In love.
It's not only part of you, it's you.
We're one with .God.
That's right, we've been made one with God through the cross of Jesus
Christ.

THROUGH THE LIVING WORD,YOU ARE GOING
TO MANIFEST GOD'S GLORY TO THE WORLD!

There is a new move of the Holy Spirit that is coming to the Church. You are going to manifest Christ's glory to the world around you. Right now, you may not be able to see how you will be able to do the same works that Jesus did. You may not understand how it is going to be possible for you to be changed into the image of Jesus Christ.

Once you receive this revelation into your spirit and begin to walk in it, you will begin to manifest Christ's glory to the world around you. Right now, you may not be able to see how you will be able to do the same works that Jesus did while He was upon this earth. You may not understand how it will be possible for you to be changed into  the image of Jesus Christ. You may not feel that you have enough faith to speak the Word and see blind eyes open and the disabled walking again.

When the angel spoke the Rhema word to Mary, she could not imagine how his words could possibly come to pass. You may feel like this. God's Word is not vulnerable. He is not depending upon whether you can demonstrate the faith to bring His Word to pass. For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37).
We are not strategizing for one isolated victory. We are not playing games. We are strategizing to be a part of the manifestation of God to the world for the end times.

God has placed the living Word within you! The fullness of the Godhead is in you! Jesus has already given you His glory! Through your spiritual union with Him, you will be able to walk as Jesus walked because you will know that God is in Christ, that Christ is in you, and that you are in God. You will face Satan, knowing that you cannot be defeated because Christ, the living Word, is in you.

Before you put this lesson down, find a place to be alone with God. Ask Him to give you a full revelation of the powerful Life that is living within you. Ask Him to seal these truths in your Spirit.

Obviously, Satan does not want you to walk in this revelation. He knows that when the veil is lifted, and the Church of the living God begins to see that there is a Life Force within them that is invincible, he will be doomed. When the power of God is manifested through us, he will have no place to hide.

We are not strategizing for one isolated victory. We are not playing games. We are strategizing to be a part of the manifestation of God to the world for the end times. The world will know that God is Who He claims to be. This is the revelation that God wants you to have in this hour. You must have it before you will be able to speak the Word with the same power and authority of Jesus.

Say it one more time: I am a part of God's end-time plan. God has not planned any defeats for me. This is my year for new beginnings.

This week, face Satan, (knowing that the living Word is in you and that ... greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (I John 4:4).

Chapter 2

FACE SATAN,
KNOWING THAT YOU ARE
INVINCIBLE THROUGH THE
POWER OF THE WORD. by Morris Cerullo

There is power, a living Force, within you that makes you invincible. God has planted something within you that is so strong, steadfast, and sure, that it is absolutely incapable of error and cannot be taken by assault. There is nothing—no work, no word, and no power of the enemy—that can defeat you. You cannot be taken.

This power is the only thing that will give you the ability to break Satan's hold and will enable you to walk in 100 percent victory. This powerful Force is the unchangeable, infallible, impregnable Word of God.

Before the powerful strategy of speaking the Word can become a reality in your life, you must know what the Word of God is. Take your Bible, and hold it in your hands. Open it, and leaf through the pages.

The Book that you hold in your hand is God's Word. It is God's voice to us. It is sacred and holy. Every Word in it, from cover to cover, is divinely inspired. A solemn warning is given to anyone who would add to or take away from the words that are written in it. (See Revelation 22:18-19.) Every Word and every prophecy will come to pass.

The Bible is the written Word of God, but it does not contain every Word that God has ever spoken or all of the things that Jesus said and did while He was upon the earth. There wouldn't be enough books in the world to contain all of that. (See John 21:25.)

The Bible is God's voice to us, but do not limit your understanding to think that it is the sum of His Word. It is not. God's Word is not merely the written Word, the Bible, but it is also God Himself, the living Word. God's Word is eternal. It was with Him from the beginning. Before the earth was formed, He spoke into the empty void of space, and as the Words went out of His mouth, the work was accomplished!

The written and the living Word are inseparable. The Early Church did not have a written Bible. They spoke the Word. What they had seen and heard Jesus do is what they did. And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem; greatly; and a great number of the priests were obedient to the fain (Acts 6:7).

There are two Greek words for the English word word that art used in the Bible. Those Greek words are Rhema and Logos. They both are used whenever we see the word word used in our English Bible. Let's talk for a minute about what the word Logos means.

The way the word Logos is used in the New Testament actuall­y has two meanings. It is the expression of God's thoughts throngh statements by God Himself or by Christ. A man's word is the means that he uses to reveal what he is thinking. God used the Logos to reveal His thoughts and manifest Himself to the world.

The scriptures that are recorded in the Bible are Logos.

The message of the gospel is Logos. They are expressions of God's thonghts and His revealed will for mankind. Logos is the Word of the Lord. It is the revealed will of God. It is the message from the Lord, It has been delivered to us with His authority and the accompanying power to bring it to pass.

When Peter preached to the Gentiles at Cornelius' house he spoke the Word—the Logos—and while he was speakingthe Holy Ghost fell on all them who heard the Word. (See 10:34-48.) Peter spoke the Word with authority, and God's power accompanied it.

In Capernaum, people were gathered together inside the house that Jesus was staying in. There was no room left for any more people

to come in. He preached the Word—the Logos—to them. (See Mark 2:1-12.) Jesus did not read the scripture, give an introduction, and then preach a sermon with three or four points and a closing. He preached the Logos. He revealed the thoughts and will of God concerning mankind through the Word that He spoke and through His actions.

When He revealed the will of God, His words were with power. He spoke about forgiveness and healing. They were a part of God's plan and will for mankind to experience. He demonstrated the Word of forgiveness and healing to a man who was sick with the palsy. Palsy is a complete or partial muscle paralysis that is often accompanied by the loss of sensation and uncontrollable body movements or tremors. The man was immediately cured.

The Logos is also used to refer to Jesus Christ, the living Word. Jesus, the living Word, the Logos is the personal manifestation of all that God is. Through Jesus, the Logos, God revealed and manifested Himself as a personal God and One Who is so concerned with love for us that He was willing to come to earth in the form of human flesh and live among us.

IN the beginning was the Word[Logos], and the Word [Logos] was with God, and the Word [Logos], was God (John 1:1). And the Word [Logos] was made flesh, and dwelt among us ... (John 1:14).

We will now learn about the Word from the Rhema standpoint. The Rhema Word is active and powerful. It is used in the New Testament to refer to "that which is spoken." It is a word, a promise, or an individual scripture that the Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance in times of need. It is a Word that is spoken by God.

With the Rhema Word comes the built-in faith that is needed for its fulfillment. The power for the fulfillment of the Word is not of us or our ability. It is in the Word that is spoken by God.

Paul, the apostle, encouraged the Ephesians to take ... the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). In this verse, when he spoke of the Word of God, he was not referring to the whole Bible. He was referring to the Rhema—a Word or a scripture that the Spirit speaks to your heart and mind.

It is this Rhema—this Word that is spoken directly to you from God—that becomes a powerful weapon in your mouth. With it comes the faith that you need, and when you speak it, it will destroy the enemy's strongholds.

When Jesus faced Satan in the wilderness, He revealed this powerful strategy. He said: ... It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word [Rhema] that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). It is the Rhema—the Word that God directly speaks to your spirit—that will destroy Satan's strongholds, not simply repeating verses that you have memorized.

When the angel, Gabriel, told Mary that she would conceive a child by the Holy Spirit and give birth to the sinless Son of God, it was the Rhema to her. It was a promise from God. It was spoken by an angel. Along with the Rhema Word came the faith for its fulfillment. Mary received it and said: ... be it unto me according to thy word ... (Luke 1:38). Previously, Mary had questioned how it would happen because she had never been with a man. When the angel spoke the Word of God, the Rhema, she was willing to receive the Word, even though she didn't understand at first how it would be fulfilled.

When Jesus spoke the Word to the leper to be clean, it was the Rhema Word, a promise that was spoken to him by God. The same thing applied to the woman who was caught in the act of adultery. He told her that her sins would be forgiven. It was the Rhema Word of God to her.

God may speak the Rhema directly to your spirit, or He may speak through another individual. The Rhema Word may be a scripture or a specific promise from God. When the Rhema comes to you from. God, the power to bring it to pass is already contained within it. When you receive it, all you need to do is accept it—as Mary did—and say: ... be it unto me according to thy word ... (Luke 1:38).

You are going to be so strong that as Satan looked at Jesus and trembled, so he is going to look at you and tremble. There is not going to be any difference between Jesus—Who was on this earth—and you.

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD.

God's Word is eternal. It has no beginning of days and no ending of life. There has never been a time when the Word didn't exist.

is self-existent and timeless. When the earth was without form and void, and darkness covered the earth, the Word existed. Into that empty void, like the mighty thunder of many waters, God spoke creation into existence.

IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good.- and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament of the waters which were above the firmament. and it was so.

And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

.And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

And the evening and the morning were the third day.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Every created thing upon this earth owes its existence to the Word. God spoke, and out of the darkvoid, there came light. He spoke the Word, and the sun, moon, and stars appeared out of nowhere. He spoke the Word, and dry land, trees, mountains, and vegetation came into being. He spoke the Word, and the sea brought forth fish and all of the other living creatures in it. Insects materialized, and all fowls of the air manifested. He spoke the Word and created mankind out of the dust of the earth.

the same creative power of God is still in the Word today! The Word of God is eternal. It is from everlasting to everlasting. Heaven and earth will one day pass away, but God's Word will endure forever. God's Word does not change. The living Word and the written Word do not change.They are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

People change. Doctrines change. Ideals change, but the Word God never changes.

THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD.

God and His Word are inseparable. Jesus is the Word. The Word was with God from the beginning:

Giving thanks to the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind nd by wicked works, yet now bath he reconciled ...

Colossians 1:12-21

The living Word was with God before the foundation of th, world. It was through Him that God created all things. He was or,- with God, was the express image of God, and possessed the sarr.- attributes of God. They existed in perfect unity. They were one i- thought, motive, purpose, and action. It is impossible to separa-, God and His Word. They are one. All that can be said about Gc: can be said about His Word.

God is all-powerful, and His Word is all-powerful. God is ho:-and His Word is holy. God is faithful, and His Word is faithfi 

God is unchanging, and His Word is unchanging. God cannot fail, and His Word cannot fail. God is everlasting, and His Word is everlasting.

THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH
AND DWELT AMONG US.

Two thousand years ago, the Word became flesh. It is the Word that was in the beginning with God, made all things, and spoke the worlds and everything in them into existence.

According to God's plan and purpose, God sent forth His only begotten Son, the living Word. The Spirit of God breathed upon a virgin named Mary. The incorruptible seed of Jesus Christ was placed in her womb by the Holy Spirit. The very life of God was in that incorruptible seed. Then, at the time appointed by the Father, the only begotten Son of God was born.

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law ... (Galatians 4:4). The Word, God, was made flesh. ... (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, )full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

the Word (Logos) became flesh, and we beheld His glory. Jesus was a reflection of God's glory. The glory of God shone forth and was manifested in Jesus' character and in the things that He did. God sent the Word for a purpose.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

What was His purpose? ... For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of devil (I John 3:8). The purpose of the Word is to destroy the works of the devil. Are you beginning to understand that?

God said that He was sending His Word, His only begotten Son, and Jesus will not return to God empty-handed. He will accomplish the plan and purpose whereto He has been sent. He will not fail. He will destroy the works of the devil. The Logos, the living Word that

was with God from the beginning, and the written Word are th same. They are inseparable..

THE WORD IS ALIVE!

The written Word is not a dry, lifeless book of historical accoun­t is powerful and has creative power. Jesus said: ... the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). Say out lot: The Word is alive! Jesus Christ is alive and seated at the right hand God. The Word is alive. Jesus told Martha: ... I am the resurrection and the life ... ( John 11:25). He spoke the Word: ... Lazarus, com forth (John 11:43).

The same life that was in Jesus was also in His Word. His Word was full of resurrection power. They were pulsating with life.His Word penetrated the darkness of Lazarus' tomb and entered the region of the dead. When Lazarus' spirit heard Jesus' Word, it came back into Lazarus' body, jumped to its feet, and came out of the tomb by the power of that Word.

he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25). Jesus said: For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;And hath given him

 authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man (John 5:26-27),

Jesus Christ, the living Word, is self-existent and has life Himself, and so does His Word. Jesus said: ... He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life (Jc: 5:24). In His Word is eternal life. This is why an alcoholic, drug addict, murderer, homosexual, or prostitute on the street can hear Word and instantly be transformed, delivered, and resurrected from spiritual death unto eternal life!

Praise God that the Word is alive! You and I have been given life. We are born again, not of corruptible seed that perishes but the Word of God, which is imperishable. It lives and abides for ever. (See I Peter 1:23.) We owe our very life to the Word of God.

Jesus Christ, the living Word, has the power to save and to heal, and His Word does, too. God sent the living Word to the earth for a purpose—to destroy the works of the devil. While He was on the earth, Jesus confronted Satan and destroyed his works everywhere He went. He spoke the Word and healed the sick, cleansed the leper, cast out demons, and raised the dead.

God's purpose for the Word is the same. He has purposed for you and me—His sons and daughters—to go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit, speaking forth the Word. The same creative power is in His Word. That is why people are healed after they receive the Word into their spirit.

As long as I live, I will never forget what happened in a service I was conducting in the Philippines in 1959. I was preaching the Word and heard a peculiar popping sound. I looked to see where it was coming from. There, in the front row, was a man who was so twisted and deformed that he couldn't sit up straight. He was rolled up in a ball and lying on the ground.

This man was just one of hundreds of other people, who were lying all over the place in this crusade. They were all waiting to be touched by the healing power of Jesus. I continued to preach the Word. All of a sudden, that man--,who was so crippled and twisted that he couldn't move—began to move. He began to stretch out and untwist his legs and then his arms.

The popping sound I had heard was the man's bones cracking and his limbs snapping into their proper shape and place. He got up and ran across the front of the roped-off area, leaping and shouting. I didn't say a single prayer. He was healed by his faith and the power of the Word that was going forth out of my mouth.

Remember that you cannot separate God from His Word. The power for the fulfillment of His Word is not in any man or in anything that he possesses. The power for the fulfillment of His Word is in the Word itself. God sent His Word to this earth to destroy the works of the devil.

The Word of God in your mouth today is alive. It is the same as when Christ spoke life, healing, and deliverance with His Word two

thousand years ago. It is the same. The Word of God in your mouth will destroy the works of the devil. Say this out loud: God has not planned any defeats for me. This is my year for a new beginning. ?he Word of God is alive. It is powerful. It will destroy the works of the devil. 

THE WORD CANNOT BE CAPTURED.

In the United States, and throughout the nations of the world, we have developed a national defense system to protect us from possible invasion by enemy forces. We have radar scanners, anti­aircraft missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, surface-to-air missiles, millions of soldiers in the military, fleets of jets, tanks, submarines, ships, sophisticated weapons, equipment, tactical gear, and protective outerwear. We have developed these defenses in an attempt to make our country as safe and secure as possible against enemy attack.

Regardless of all that has been done, there is still the possibility that somehow the enemy could penetrate our line of defense (remember September 11!), attack strategic positions, and gain control of the country. This is true for every nation in the world. There is always the possibility that a country could be attacked and captured. During combat, soldiers go onto the battlefield and risk being captured.

In our world today, there is only one thing that is absolutely incapable of being captured. What is it? What is incapable of being captured? The powerful and invincible Word of the living God is incapable of being taken by assault. It cannot be captured.

Throughout the ages, people have tried to wipe every trace of the Bible from the face of the earth. They have ridiculed it, spit on it, banned it, burned it, tried to discredit it, and called it myths and fairy tales. People have twisted the scriptures and perverted them with their own invented doctrines. In spite of all of these attacks, the Word still stands. It hasn't lost its power!

From the very beginning, as soon as the disciples began to speak the Word, in the Name of Jesus, Satan tried to stop them. The disciples were thrown in jail, beaten, and commanded not to speak

or teach in that Name. It didn't work! Satan couldn't stop the Word from going forth. His plan backfired. The Word of God increased. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed (Acts 19:20). Praise God that the Word prevailed!

Paul, who was bound and thrown into prison for preaching the Word, wrote to Timothy:

Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel.Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

II Timothy 2:8-9

Paul was in chains, but the Word could not be chained. It could not and cannot be bound. In China, India, and many other countries today, men and women are being beaten and imprisoned for preaching the Word, but the Word is not bound. Even though they are threatened, imprisoned. be-aten, and their land and jobs are taken away from them, these Christians continue to speak the Word. They continue to speak in the 'Name of Jesus.

If somehow our Bibles were all to be taken and burned, it still would not stop the Word. Why? It would not stop the Word because God and His Word are inseparable. The Word is alive. The living Word is in us and cannot be bound.

THE WORD IS INFALLIBLE
AND IMPREGNABLE.

Several years ago, God gave me a prophetic Word for the Church. One morning, I was praying in my home and sensed the marvelous Presence of God. That familiar anointing of the Holy Spirit came and stood by my right shoulder. I felt a Presence, as if Someone had laid their hand on my right shoulder.

I looked up and saw the manifestation of the anointing of the Presence of God over my right shoulder. God spoke to me. He said: Tell My people that everything that can be shaken will be shaken. Tell them to fix their faith. If their faith is not fixed during this crisis, then they will not stand. They must fix their faith upon that which is infallible

and that which is impregnable. They must have a fixed point for their faith. Ihat fixed point must be My Word.

God is a God of purpose, plan, design, and objectivity. According to His end-time plan, He has promised that He is going to shake the earth yet once more. The expression "yet once more" is referring to the final removal. This is telling us when the

shaking is going to come. It is coming during God's end-time harvest, the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages. He is going to bring all things together and consummate them in Christ. 

(See Ephesians 1:10.)

This shaking will hit every church denomination. Every ministry Th

will be shaken. Satan is not going to be doing the shaking. God is 

going to be doing the shaking. I am warning you nowso that you

will be prepared. What is God's purpose for this shaking- There are 

sins within our ranks that God must clean up and get rid of in order

for the Church to stand—without spot, wrinkle, or blemish—before 

His throne.

Christian experiences are going to be shaken. Today, we live in 

a world where every kind of doctrine and theology is being thrown

around. There are two reasons for this problem. One reason comes 

from the pulpit; the other reason comes from the pew. Don't blame 

the pulpit if you're gullible enough to sit there in the pew and 

take it. It's so easy to criticize the preacher, who you feel is leading 

you astray. If you know where you are going, then he cannot lead 

you astray. 

There are Christians today who are too lazy or too busy to get in 

the Word and stay in the Word. They have their eyes upon certain

preachers and teachers and are accepting every word that comes 

out of their mouths. It is much easier for them to depend upon the 

word of the preachers and teachers instead of depending upon and is 

trusting in the Word of God. It is time for us to search the scriptures 

to see if what we are hearing is the true, pure, and unadulterated 

Word of God. 

Do not put your trust in other people. Do not put your trust in man-made doctrines. Do not put your trust in denominations. These things are all subject to change. They are subject to error.They are able to mislead or deceive you. Keep your trust and faith in the infallible Word of God. 

Believers who do not search the scriptures for themselves will be

shaken. They will not be able to stand. They may sing and shout about 

Jesus coming soon, but they are not practicing what they preach. They say that they believe that He is coming, yet are so involved with the cares of this life that they have no time to witness to or pray for the lost. They have no time to spend in fasting and prayer. They have not committed themselves and their time, energy, and finances to winning the lost. Their heart is still attached to this world.

God is not going to tolerate this kind of outward spirituality. These Christians will be shaken. There is only one thing that is going to help you to stand, while ever%ihingg around you is being shaken. It is the infallible, impregnable Word of God.

The word infallible means "no margin for and "incapable

to mislead or deceive." There is no doctrine or theology- of man that is infallible. Very few theories stand the test of time. We are constantly in a state of learning and change. Listen closely. You and I cannot afford the spiritual luxury of change. We must know that know  know that we know what the truth is. In order to have this position of strength, we must have our faith fixed to that which is infallible.

Do not put your trust in other people. Do not put your trust in man-made doctrines. Do not put your trust in denominations. These things are all subject to change. They are subject to error.They are able to mislead or deceive you. Keep your trust and faith in the infallible Word of God. God's Word is incapable of misleading or deceiving. It is impregnable. Impregnable means that it is "incapable of being taken by assault." It cannot be captured. It cannot be bound.

God and His Word are inseparable. His Word is eternal. It has creative power. It is unchangeable. It is alive. It cannot fail. It cannot be taken by assault. The Word—that was with God from the beginning—became flesh and lived among us. God sent His Son—the living Word, Jesus—to destroy the works of the devil. The Logos is the written Word, which makes you invincible. Nothing can touch you. You cannot be taken.

God has not planned any defeats for you. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. If you know that your faith is fixed upon the impregnable and infallible Word of God, then you will not be shaken.

God is going to have a people. You are going to be so strong that as Satan looked at Jesus and trembled, so he is going to look at you and tremble. There is not going to be any difference between Jesus—Who was on this earth—and you.

This week, face Satan, knowing the power of the Word and knowing that there is nothing—no power of the enemy—that can defeat you. You will fulfill the Words of Jesus. If abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7).

trust me.  There is something going on in these words if you have had your spiritual ears dug out that is very very deep and is a doorway to accessing the power of God in the same way that Jesus did. 

If you are power hungry.If you are still not bedded down on the Rock of Jesus alone and His agenda and His Kingdom and His heart.....I can almost guarantee you are missing what is going on here.  Take time over it....let it change you.  The tape messages which are related material come from a 4 cassette series that I heard 15-20 years ago....and you think you have heard them, but when I recently bought a car that only plays cassette tapes, I fished them out and was grabbed in the Spirit by what is going on here. So listen to them now in the context of Galatians 2:20.  This about the faith of Jesus Christ that lives in you. HIS FAITH.   And you WILL have an experience of God in this context as you listen to the talks.

STRATEGIES OF JESUS: HOW TO DEFEAT SATAN

INTRODUCTION

the Bible states that God's people are destroyed because of a lack

of knowledge. (See Hosea 4:6.) One of the main areas in which believers are being defeated, due to a lack of knowledge, is in spirit warfare. `That is why I have prepared this special series of studies you. I want you to be prepared to wage effective spiritual battle the days ahead.

There is a great war that is being waged in the world today, it is not a conflict between nations, tribes, or government leaders, it is not a rebellion or coup. It is an important, invisible battle that is taking place in the spirit world. You are a part of this battle, and you will either become a victim or a victor.

The Early Church viewed their spiritual experience in terms warfare. Military terminology is used throughout the New Testament . Protection was seen in the armor of God. The Word of God is compared to a sword. Satan's attacks were called fiery darts. Faith was called the good fight. Believers were told to war a good warfare. The Early Church knew that they were engaged in an intense spiritual struggle.

The same spiritual battle continues today, but instead of fighting the enemy, believers are often building great church buildings producing musical dramas, holding fellowship meetings,and fighting one another, while this great, spiritual battle wages around them. Satan will even intensify his attacks against a church that has withdrawn from the frontlines of battle.

As the end of time approaches, it is even more important for

believers to understand spiritual warfare than in the early days of church history. The Apostle Paul warned: THIS know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come (II Timothy 3:1).

Luke 14:31 says: Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he is able with thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? No king ever entered into a battle without a careful examination of his resources and development of battle strategies.

This year(2000), through the Strategies of Jesus and Strategies of Satan series, we are making a careful evaluation of the strategies, weapons, and power that are available to us to win the war against our enemy, Satan.

 In the military world, a strategy is the science of forming and carrying out military operations. It is the method or plan which leads to the goal of victory.

This month, you will learn how Jesus confronted Satan and defeated Him through the power of His Word. You will also learn:

1. how to face Satan, knowing you are invincible through the power of the Word;

2. how to face Satan, knowing that the living Word is in you; and

3. how to confront Satan, speak the Word, and drive him out! Faithfully,

Chapter 1

JESUS CONFRONTED

SATAN AND DEFEATED HIM

THROUGH THE MIGHT

OF GOD'S WORD!

Last month, we learned how to position ourselves in the power of Jesus' Name, how to defeat Satan in the power of Jesus' Name, and how to go forth in the power and authority of Jesus' Name to take dominion over sin, sickness, and condemnation.

We now will continue with the strategies that Jesus used to defeat Satan and learn how He confronted and defeated him through the power of His Word. Jesus spoke, and Satan fled, the winds and sea obeyed, demons trembled and obeyed, blind eyes saw, lame legs walked, deaf ears heard, mute tongues were loosed and framed words of speech, and dead souls came back to life.

The powerful strategy of speaking the Word enabled Jesus—the mighty Warrior—to enter Satan's territory and destroy his strongholds with the sheer force of the Words that came out of His mouth.

Knowing that He had been commissioned, anointed,and sent forth by God to destroy the works of the devil, everywhere encountered the works of the enemy, He confronted Satan and took authority over him by speaking the Word.

Never did Jesus pray for a sick person or for a demon person—not one time! When the sick and dying were brought to Jesus, He did not pray to the Father. He did not ask Father whether it was His will to heal them. He did not beg the Father to please heal them

There was no need for Jesus to plead with or beg God to heal or deliver people from the power of Satan. He knew that it was God's will to heal, deliver, and set free all who were oppressed, afflicted, tormented, and possessed by Satan.

Whenever Jesus saw those who were bound in some way by Satan's power, He took aggressive action. He confronted Satan. He did not stand by, with His hands folded, or wait for God to do the work. He knew that God had anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and had given Him authority over Satan. Jesus had been given dunamis, the miracle-working power of God to deliver the people from Satan's hands.

When Jesus confronted the power of Satan, He did not speak His own Words. He spoke the Words' that the Father instructed Him to speak. He cried out:

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting.• whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

John 12:49-50

Jesus also said: ... the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Fathers which sent me (John 14:24) and ... My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me (John 7:16). When He spoke the Words that the Father hadgiven Him to speak, He did not doubt or wonder whether what Hespoke  would come to pass. He knew that He was speaking forththe  Words of Almighty God. He knew that God's Word was all ­powerful and would come to pass!

The Father said: ... Let there, be, light.- and there was light (Genesis 1:1-3 God spoke through Isaiah to the nation of Israel, saying:

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bringforth and bud that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater so shall my word be that goeth.forth out of my mouth.- it

shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-11

God wanted Israel to know that the Words that He spoke were not dead, empty, useless words. His Words were filled with life. They were powerful and would produce the results that He desired. They would fulfill His purposes on the earth.

Jesus knew that the Words that God had given Him to speak were full of life. He knew that when those Words came out of His mouth, they would produce the results and fulfill the purposes that God had intended for them.

JESUS DESTROYED SATAN'S
STRONGHOLDS BY SPEAKING THE WORD.

Jesus told His disciples: ... the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). The very Words that were coming forth from Jesus' mouth were given to Him from God. They were alive. Within them was the power necessary to make them come to pass. Within His Word was eternal life, healing, deliverance, love, peace, happiness, and all that God had originally purposed for mankind to enjoy upon this earth.

Jesus taught on hillsides and in synagogues. The people were ... astonished at his doctrine.-for his word was with power (Luke 4:32). Even the demons recognized the power and authority of JesusWord, and they obeyed it.

On one occasion, Jesus was teaching in a synagogue in Capernaum. There was a man there who was possessed with an unclean spirit (a devil). The demon spirit cried out of the man: ...Let us alone what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art the come to destroy us?I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God (Luke 4;34)

Jesus was not afraid or intimidated.he did not flinch,but confronted His enemy. He spoke the Word. And Jesus rebuked him, saying , Hold  thy peace and come out of him. And when the devil

had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. And they were all amazed ... (Luke 4:35-36).

When Jesus spoke these Words, the spirit had to obey. I can almost see the mouths of the people drop open when they gasped in amazement:

And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. And the fame of it went out into every place of tbe country round about.

Luke 4:36-38

On many other occasions, they brought the sick and demon-possessed people to Jesus:

When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Matthew 8:16-17

The evil spirits were powerless before Jesus. With just one Word from His lips, He cast them out. Everywhere Jesus went, He confronted the power of the enemy, spoke the Word, and destroyed Satan's strongholds in the lives of the people.

n To the leper, Jesus spoke the Word: ... be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (Matthew 8:3).

n To the man at the pool of Bethesda—who had been paralyzed for thirty-eight years— Jesus spoke the Word: ... Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And inmediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked ... ( John 5:8-9).

n To the woman with a spirit of infirmity—who had been hunched over for eighteen years Jesus spoke the Word: ... Woman, thou art loosed from thy infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God (Luke 13: 12-13).

n To the man—who was deaf and had a speech impediment—Jesus spoke the Word: And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech ... And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue ... and saith unto him ... Be opened And straightway his ears were opened, and the string ofhis tongue was loosed, and he spake plain (Mark 8:32-35).

n To the blind beggar, Jesus spoke the Word: ... Receive thy sight... And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God ... (Luke 18:42-43).

n To the widow's son—who had died and was being carried away to be buried—Jesus spoke the Word: ... Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. And there came a fear on all... (Luke 7:14-16).

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

JESUS' WORDS WERE LETHAL WEAPONS.

Like a mighty warrior engaging the enemy in combat Jesus confronted Satan with the Words from His mouth. His Words were powerful, lethal weapons that hit their mark and drove Satan out.

One of the greatest confrontations between Jesus and Satan; happened at the beginning of Jesus' ministry. Read Luke 4:1-15In. this battle, Jesus clearly revealed how we can face Satan in every trial,every temptation, and every attack for a 100 percent victory.

Following His baptism in the Jordan river, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. There, He spent forty days in prayer and fasting. He communed with God, sought divine direction and prepared Himself for the work that He had been commissioned to do. During Jesus' time in the wilderness, Satan came to Him, and the battle was on.

We do not know in what form Satan appeared to Jesus. However, as he looked upon Jesus, he recognized Who He was . There, standing before him, in the form of human flesh, was the all-powerful Son of God. Jesus had been with God from the beginning and had watched Satan get thrown out of heaven.

Satan knew that Jesus had been sent forth and commissioned by God to defeat him. He came to Jesus in an attempt to stop Him from fulfilling God's will. Jesus knew who Satan was and why he was there. He knew that Satan was a deceiver and a liar, who had come to tempt Him to sin against God.  This was not a chance meeting. Jesus was not taken by surprise. He was prepared.

Jesus knew that He was the Son of God, that He was called to defeat Satan, that He had been anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit, and that He was standing in the authority of the Name of Almighty God, with all of heaven backing Him up.

... with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out (Luke 4:36). 'Me Greek word for the English word authority is exousia, a, and it means "the right to exercise power." Power is translated from the Greek word dunamis, which is "the miracle-working power of God." Put it all together and we have "the right to exercise the miracle-working power of God."

Notice the strategy that Jesus used to win this battle. Satan attacked Jesus three times, tempting Him to sin against God. Jesus took authority over Satan three times, speaking the written Word of God against him.

1. Satan challenged Jesus to prove that He was the Son of God by turning a rock into bread. Jesus had been fasting for many days and was probably hungry. Satan appealed to his human heed for food. Jesus said: ... It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth  of God (Matthew 4:4).

2.Satan again challenged Jesus to prove that He was the Son  by throwing Himself off the roof of the temple. He even quoted Psalm 91 to Jesus to entice Him religiously, as if it was God speaking. Jesus said: ... It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God (Matthew 4:7).

3. Satan made a final attempt to tempt Him by promising to give Him all of the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would bow down and worship him. Jesus knew that Satan was a liar and a deceiver. Jesus said: ... Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:10).

When Jesus spoke the written Word of God, Satan had to retreat because God said: So shall my word that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

Jesus confronted Satan and defeated him by speaking the written Word. God has planned for you to do the same. He has planned for you to confront the enemy wherever you may find him. By speaking the Word, you will destroy his strongholds and conquer him, in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit!

God sent forth His Word into the earth, and it will not return unto Him void. He has planned for His Word to be in you. When you speak it forth, it will be a mighty weapon that will drive the enemy out of your life and circumstances. When you speak God's Word, it will be a devouring flame to consume the enemies of God, the same as the promise. God made to Jeremiah, the prophet: ... Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them ( Jeremiah 5:14).

When you speak God's Word, it will be a crushing hammer, breaking down the obstacles and hindrances that Satan has placed in your way: Is not my word like a fire? saith the LORI); and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? ( Jeremiah 23:29).

God is a God of plan, purpose, design,and objectivity . he has planned for you to be conformed and transformed by His Spirit into the express image of Christ. (See Romans 8:29.) He has planned for you to think, walk, talk, and act the way Jesus did while He was on this earth. He has planned for you to:

• Speak the Word, and see blind eyes opened.
• Speak the Word, and see the lame walk. 
• Speak the Word, and see deaf ears opened. 
• Speak the Word, and see tongues loosed. 
• Speak the Word, and see demons obey.
• Speak the Word, and see the dead raised to life.

You are a child of the living God, and this is your heritage. You may be thinking that Jesus was able to perform all of these miracles by speaking the Word because He was the Son of God. However, this is no more true of Jesus than it is of you or me. Through Christ, We have been made sons of God and made joint-heirs with Him. We have been entrusted with the same power and authority that Jesus was entrusted with.

Yes, Jesus was the Son of God, but He did not draw upon His divine abilities to heal the sick, cast out demons, or do any of the other miracles that He did. When He came to earth, He humbled and stripped Himself of His ability to be all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere present. He was still divine, but He was God in the flesh

Jesus taught ,healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, cast out devils,and raised the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit. (See Luke 3:16.) Jesus was sent forth to

to destroy the works of the devil.

While he was on earth, Jesus sent His disciples in the power in the power and authority of His name. He commanded them to: Heal the sick,

cleanse the lepers ,raise the dead,cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give They rejoiced  saying:

Lord even the devils are subject unto us through your name. And he said  to them, behold i saw Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold I give to you power to tread on serpents and 

scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Luke 10:17-20

The disciples received a breakthrough of revelation knowledge of the power and authority that Jesus had given to them through His Name. Do you think that Jesus would have sent them forth and commanded them to do something that they would not be capable of doing?

Jesus gave the disciples His power and authority and sent them forth in His Name. They did not go in their natural strength. They did not speak the Word of healing and deliverance in their own power. They simply acted in faith upon the Word that Jesus had spoken to them, and it was done!

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I

please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

THE EARLY CHURCH CONFRONTED SATAN, SPOKE THE WORD, AND DEFEATED HIM.

Before He ascended into heaven, Jesus gathered His disciples together and sent them forth to preach, teach, make disciples of all nations, heal the sick, cast out devils, and raise the dead . HE DID NOT expect them to go forth in their natural or physical strength. He gave them the same power and authority that He had while He lived on earth. He told them to go into Jerusalem and wait there until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).

On the day of Pentecost, 120 disciples received the baptism of  the Holy Spirit. They left the Upper Room witl the same dunamis miracle-working power of God, and the same exousia authority to exercise  that power that Jesus had.

Immediately, Peter began to speak the Word under the power and anointing of the Holy  Spirit: "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls (Acts 2:41).

The disciples did not sit back, with their hands folded, and wait for God to do all of the work. They took aggressive action. Knowing that they had been anointed by the Holy Spirit, and had been given authority over Satan, they confronted Satan wherever they saw people bound by his power.

Peter, on his way to the temple to pray, saw a lame man, lying by the temple gate begging. He spoke the Word: ... Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name ofJesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk (Acts 3:6). He lifted the man to his feet, and instantly, the man was healed.

In Lydda, Peter found a man who had been bedridden with the palsy for eight years. He spoke the Word to him. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately (Acts 9:34). Aeneas got up out of his bed, and as a result of the miracle that was done in his body, there was a great revival. And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord (Acts 9:35).

Later, in Joppa, Peter came to the home of Dorcas, who had died. he went to the room where they had lain her dead body. He knelt down beside the bed and prayed. Then, he turned to the dead body

and spoke the Word to her: ... Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and where she saw Peter, she sat up (Acts 9:40).

SATAN HAD TO RETREAT!

Satan working through the high priest, scribes, and elders, tried to stop the disciples from speaking the Word. They were put m prison, beaten and commanded not to speak at all or teach any

more in the name of Jesus. They had something within them that was alive The Living  Word was in them, and they could not keep quict.They had to speak the Word.They had to speak the name Jesus. They told the high priest and the elders For we cannot but speak the things which we have, seen and heard (A ct s 4:20).

The disciples could not stop speaking the Word. Regardless of what Satan was trying to do to stop them, they could not and did not stop speaking the Word. They continued to speak with boldness, and as a result: ... the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7).

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

GOD IS NOT DEPENDING ON OUR LIMITED STRENGTH

Are you hearing what the Spirit of God is saying to you today? Through the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, Jesus spoke the Word. Blind eyes and deaf ears were opened. Demons were cast out. The dead were raised. Water was turned into wine. Humans walked on water. Stormy winds and waves died to calm. All of these miracles happened through the power and authority of the Holy Spirit.

Believers in the Early Church spoke the Word and saw the same results. Through the same power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, God has planned for you and me to do the same. Say out loud: I am a part of God'end-timeplan. God has not

 planned any defeats for me. This is my year of new beginnings. God wants me to confront the enemy and speak the Word, destroy his strongholds, and conquer him, in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit!

What I am sharing with you in this lesson is more than just a theory. It is not a man-made theology. It is not just psychological verbiage. It is part of God's plan for your life. I realize that spme of you may think that this is only for super-human Christians

who have reached a certain spiritual plateau. You may not think that you are spiritually strong enough
You may not think your faith is strong enough to be able to speak the Word and see the lame walk or the blind see.

God's Word is not vulnerable. He is not depending upon a faith that you can somehow develop. He is not depending upon whether or not you can demonstrate enough super-faith to produce a miracle. God's Word remains true, regardless of whether or not some do not

believe it. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the

faith of God without effect? God forbid.- yea, let God be true, but every
man a liar ... (Romans 3:3-4).

the faith and power are in the Word. When you are faithful to speak it forth, it will be done! Jesus said:

Verily, verily', I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also: and greater -works than these shall he do;

because I go unto my Father.And shall ask in my name, that will I do-- that the Father may be glorified in the Son. -If ye shall ask any thing in my Name, I will do it.

John 14:12-14

Jesus did not limit the working of miracles to those who had developed a great faith. He said: ... He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also ... (John 14:12). He also said: ... If have faith as a grain of mustard ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you (Matthew 17:20).

God has planned for you to speak to the mountains that are in your way. Speak to the mountains of sickness, financial need, and family problems, and see them removed. He said that even if you only have faith as small as a tiny grain of mustard seed, you will be able to do it.

I am not trying to minimize the importance of faith. Faith is one of the powerful weapons that God has given to you to defeat Satan with. What I want you to see is that too many Christians today are depending on the power of their own faith, instead of depending on the Word of God and the faith that it will impart.

Read John 14:12-14 again. Circle the word ask. The word ask in these verses is not referring to praying. Jesus was not talking about pleading or begging. The word ask in the original Greek means "to make demand on something due."

When Peter spoke to the lame man, he was not pleading, begging, or asking. He was commanding. He was instructing. He was ordering. When he spoke the words ... In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk (Acts 3:6), he was taking possession of and commanding the healing that legally belonged to the man to be loosed into his crippled body. Because Jesus won the victory over Satan, this man's limbs received strength, and he was instantly healed.

You have been given the same authority to speak the Word with power. As He is now in the world. so are we in this world. We are the children of the living God. k See I His 3:1.) God sent forth His

Word into the earth. He has given us His infallible, impregnable, and 

everlasting Word. It will not return to Him void. He has planned for it to increase and multiply, until the earth is filled with the knowledge of the Lord. (See Habakkuk 2:14.)

The disciples had something within them that was compelling them to speak. They said: For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard (Acts 4:20). Like Jeremiah, the Word must become like a fire that is shut up within us. We will not be able to contain it but must speak it forth. (See Jeremiah 20:9.) Everywhere we go, we must go forth as Jesus did. We are commissioned, anointed, and sent by God to speak the words of life, healing, and deliverance. 

THE POWER IS IN THE WORD.
SPEAK IT FORTH, IN JESUS' NAME.

Let's take the mask off'. In the Church today, Christians have been taught to confess the Word and speak the Word, but few are experiencing the same results that the Early Church experienced. Why is that?

Satan knows the power of the Word. One of his strategies is to stop God's people from speaking forth the pure, unadulterated Word of God. He does this by twisting or perverting the Word with man-made doctrines and theology. There are Christians today who are following these man-made doctrines. 'They are confessing and repeating scriptures, but they have not yet had a revelation within

their spirit of all that the Word is or of the unlimited power that is contained in the Word.

Too many Christians today are too lazy or too involved in the cares of this life to get the written Word of God in them. As a result, they are not living their lives based on the pure, unadulterated Word of God, and although they may be repeating and confessing certain scriptures, they are not seeing the results that they should be seeing.

Speaking the Word is more than memorizing and repeating. It is not based upon following a specific formula certain scriptures. is following man-made doctrine. The purpose of speaking or confessing the Word is not so that Christians can satisfy their personal desires by claiming sports cars, mansions. or other materialistic blessings (though it is 100 percent God's for you to be blessed). 

We must have a confession of faith, but it is more than just being able to use our lips to confess the Word. We must use our lips to confess the words that are anointed with the power that comes from experience. We must have a revelation of the Word.

Speaking the Word involves speaking the written Word of God and also speaking the words that God directs you to speak. It involves speaking the words of healing and deliverance, in Jesus' Name, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the way the Early Church believers did.

This month, study and apply this lesson to your life. You will receive a revelation of all that the Word is and all it represents. You will see the unlimited power that is in the Word. By the time you

finish this lesson, you will be able to confront the enemy by speaking

the Word and destroying Ha strongholds in the circumstances in your life.

When you study this lesson, focus on your needs and the circumstances you may be facing right now. If you have a need to be healed physically—whether it be sugar diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach trouble, ulcers, bladder conditions, deaf ears—focus on it. If you have family problems or financial needs, focus on them.

God's Word is not void of power. The power is in the Word to heal your body and mind, mend your family's rifts, and overcome

any financial difficulties you may be experiencing. The power of the Word will meet you at the point of your need. Receive the written Word of God through this lesson. Reach out by faith, and take that Word. Grab it, and take whatever you need. It is written: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them ... (Psalms 107:20).

Remember—God has not planned any defeats for you! He has given you His Word. When you speak it forth, you will be victorious!

shall prosper in the thing whereunto  I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
