THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL IN THE WILDERNESS OF FACEBOOK by Sheila Enaami

First published here on Facebook, subject to group settings on Lovers of God
As you study the Bible, you will see that in every Generation, the Lord preserves a "remnant" for Himself. In this day and age of the GREAT APOSTASY, once again the Lord is calling out His people to "Come out of the religious system, come out of Babylon ( Rev. 18:4 ) and devote themselves into seeking His face, that they may inherit the Promise life that He has prepared for them.

A few groups of people responded to the "call" and some of them found their way in the wilderness of Facebook, like myself. As I watch the drama being unfolded again right before my very eyes, I could not help but wonder, are we all going to make it to the other side?. Stepping out of Babylon and the church system, takes only a step of faith but moving into the wilderness is another thing, there you are left to wander, with no one but God and you have to trust day by day that He will supply you with "manna", His Spoken Words, for you have relied on eating all the good stuff in Egypt ( messages that caters to the itching ears) and in the wilderness you have to start all over again, trying to discover your identity and the Promises of God, which the enemy tries to hide from you.

As they say, History repeats itself, some of us were reluctant to leave our old ways of belief system, some of us were shattered with all the lies that enslaved us and we were relieved and rejoicing that we were able to come out of our captivity. We talked about what we went through and the miracles that God has to perform to be able to open our eyes from the blindness that has held us captive to the lies of our enemy.

It won't be too long though before the Children of Israel started murmuring again, they were not satisfied with the "manna" from heaven, it is too bland, tasteless, boring and they demanded to be given meat and they look back at the good old days. It is also happening with God's children in Facebook too. We are no longer satisfied with the teaching about Jesus Christ, the simplicity of His Gospel, His grace that brought us this far, so we go looking for some flesh, teachings like the Book of Enoch are now all over Facebook, teachings about the nephilims and fallen angels, UFO and all the bizaare stuff, were being devoured by many and all the other things that keeps us away from our single devotion to Christ. Although reading this things to educate ourselves is not bad in itself but if it has become the focus of our lives, we too will be destroyed. We become what we behold.

Another evil thing has also happened, the Children of Israel started arguing against each other, in Numbers 16, they started challenging Moses regarding the messages he is receiving from the Lord. This is happening in Facebook too, you go through your friends' wall all through the day, you will see some of us debating hotly and arguing against each other about a certain topic and usually this kind of heated debates end up in the death of a relationship, like Korah and his clan being swallowed by the ground.

Numbers 14: 37 Even those men who brought back the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the LORD.
38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among the men who went to search the land, remained alive [because they believed God].
39 And Moses told these sayings to all the children of Israel, and the people mourned greatly.
40 And they rose up early in the morning, and got them up into the top of the mountain, saying, "Lo, we are here, and will go up to the place which the LORD has promised for we have sinned."

We have also seen a deludge of bad news and fear mongering scattered all over the walls of God's children in Facebook. Evil report is the main menu of the day, it is more exciting to talk about the Apocalyptic events, the HAARP, the conflict in the Middle East, the Illuminatis and what the false prophets are doing rather than what God is doing and His majesty and His great power and His love and His grace. Of course, I am not saying, we are not to talk about this realities and we need to be aware also of what is happening around us, but for some of us it has become an obsession and a calling, to feed us with "evil" report, instead of "Praise" report.

The Kingdom of God does not come with outward signs to be observed.
Nor will they say, 'Look here!' or, 'Look over there!' For behold, the kingdom of God is within you and around you . Luke 17:20-21

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I thank the Lord once again, this morning as I fall down with my face bowed down to the ground for allowing me to escape the sword and setting me free from the Babylonian Captivity. I weep as I asked Him for forgiveness for I am guilty of all the things I mentioned above, but His grace and mercy pulled me out again from the pit and made me realized what my highest priority should be.

Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

Hebrews 3: 6 But Christ is a son over his own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
7 Therefore as the Holy Spirit said, "Today if you will hear his voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts as in the provocation [and rebellion], in the day of temptation in the wilderness,
9 When your fathers tempted me, tried me, and saw my works for forty years.
10 Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, 'They are always erring in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I swore in my wrath, 'They will not enter into my rest.'"
12 Take heed, brothers, lest there be an evil heart of unbelief in any of you in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you are hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
