Tongues are not a prayer language for people who ran out of words. Tongues are a weapon issued for combat.
Most believers were taught one flavor of tongues and stopped there. Private tongues that build up your spirit, straight out of Jude 20: building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Corporate tongues that, with interpretation, function as prophecy to the church, 1 Corinthians 14:5. Fine. True. Incomplete.
There is a third category most pulpits never touch. Warfare tongues. War cries in the Spirit, dispatched to demolish strongholds, not to comfort you.
2 Corinthians 10:4 says the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. Weapons. Not blankets. Weapons are not for soothing you. Weapons are for killing what is trying to kill you.
Look at how Paul frames tongues one chapter later, in Ephesians 6:18, in the same breath as the armor. Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. He does not put that verse in a devotional section. He puts it directly after the sword and directly before the command to stay alert. Prayer in the Spirit is listed as gear, not garnish.
Judges 7 shows what a war cry does before a single sword is drawn. Gideon's three hundred men shattered pitchers, held torches, and shouted "the sword of the Lord and of Gideon." The enemy camp turned on itself in confusion and fled before Israel swung one blade. The cry did damage the sword never had to finish.
That is what a tongue of warfare is. Groanings too deep for natural language, Romans 8:26, weaponized. It bypasses your intellect because your intellect was never built to strategize against principalities. It goes straight from your spirit to the battlefield, and it does not ask the enemy for permission to be effective.
You have been treating your prayer language like a nightlight. It is a broadsword you have never unsheathed.
Stop whispering in tongues like you are apologizing for existing. Start firing in tongues like you are storming a gate. There is a stronghold assigned to your bloodline, your marriage, your finances, or your mind that has never once been shaken because you never once brought the actual weapon.
Comment WIN26 right now. The 30-Day Spiritual Warfare Devotional will show you how to move from private prayer language to warfare tongues that dismantle the strongholds assigned against you. I will send it to you personally.
